Mass Effect: Andromeda LOOKS great visually, gameplay looks fun and I really like how indepth and RPG-y the skill trees and customization look without being complicated
What does have me worried- and has been my chief concern the whole time- is how empty and template all but the final combat sequences shown in the Gameplay trailers looked.
Like, they’re all the same type of “minor outpost with a central beacon structure and some defense walls with a few enemies” surrounded by open nothingness, that seems to have no real in world or narrative reason for being there. They look like just random mobs, placed at random around the map, like the mobs in DA:I with little thought as to why they should be there.
Now it could be as its a gameplay video they don’t want to show off anything complex, or anything from the actual missions, but if the core gameplay is mostly just running around and killing these random mobs to “clear” a map like DA:I, i’m gonna be hella disappointed, because combat is the very last reason I play Mass Effect.
