CARRIE FISHER TO BE NAMED DISNEY LEGEND AT D23 EXPO

In an exclusive announcement released this morning, Disney will be honoring Carrie Fisher as a Disney Legend at this July’s D23 Expo in Anaheim. She will be inducted along with her Star Wars costar Mark Hamill, and other honorees include Stan Lee and Oprah Winfrey.

From the attendees of Infinity War panel, we’ve learned a few informations regarding Sebastian’s character Bucky Barnes:

  • Bucky has long hair and holds a machine gun during the fight
  • He, along with T’challa, leads an army on a massive battle scene in Wakanda

  • He’s also defending earth from a galactic villain alongside Steve, Wanda, and T’challa

Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill Named Disney Legends

Two of Star Wars‘ greatest icons are now official Disney Legends.

Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill, Princess Leia Organa and Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars saga, were both named Disney Legends in a ceremony at D23 Expo today. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Disney Legends Awards, given to those who’ve made a significant impact on the Disney legacy.

Fisher and Hamill were honored alongside Marvel masterminds Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Oprah Winfrey, Whoopi Goldberg, and others.

D23 Expo Disney Parks Panel Recap

For those who are finding it difficult to keep up here’s the WDW related announcements.

Hollywood Studios:

  • Star Wars land will open 2019 (WDW will open after DL) and will be called Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge
  • There will be a new Star Wars resort that promises to super immersive 
  • The Great Movie Ride will be closing on August 13th and though the Chinese Theater building remain the inside is going to become a brand new ride entitled Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway that promises to put us right into a Mickey short
  • Toy Story Land will open Summer 2018

Magic Kingdom:

  • Tron coaster confirmed to be opening in time for the 50th anniversary in 2021, however it appears that it’ll be next to Space Mountain and may not take over the Tomorrowland Speedway
  • MK is also getting a new theater though no idea what show will play. (Hopefully it’ll be something like Mickey and the Magician/Mickey and the Magical Map)

EPCOT:

  • Lots of changes coming to Future World! Apparently a new park entrance is in the works
  • Ellen’s Energy Adventure is also closing on August 13, 2017 to make room for a Guardians of the Galaxy attraction. The tie-in is the fact that Peter Quill visited as a child before his abduction
  • Mission:Space is getting a new green mission and will have a new restaurant adjacent to it
  • Ratatouille the ride is officially coming to the France Pavilion in EPCOT! It’ll be situated behind the Eiffel Tower.
  • China Pavilion is getting a new film for it’s circle vision

Other WDW News:

  • The Disney Skyline gondola has been confirmed and will connect resorts such as Art of Animation and Pop to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios
  • Disney will begin offering it’s own “uber” like transportation with Minnie-style polka dotted vans/cars
  • There will be a brand new DVC hotel added called the Hotel Riviera

Kingdom Hearts 3 News from D23 Expo 2017

Two worlds have already been announced before today: Big Hero 6 and Tangled. Now, along with a new trailer, a new world has been announced for the upcoming Kingdom Hearts game: Toy Story! 

Sora and friends, with the help from both Woody and Buzz Lightyear, will bring about a brand new story and battle heartless within the world of Pixar’s Toy Story! 

Kingdom Hearts 3 is also set to release sometime in 2018!

WHEN WILL ALL THIS NEWS STOP???

1. THE INCREDIBLES 2 IS SOMETHING I HAVE WAITED MY ENTIRE LIFE FOR. AAAAAAH! ALSO I NEED VIOLET TO GET WITH THAT KID TONY BC THEY WERE CUTE AND IF THIS ONE STARTS FROM WHERE THE LAST ONE ENDED I NEED THAT ORIGIN STORY.

2. I HAVE BEEN REWATCHING HEY ARNOLD A LOT TODAY BC I MISS IT AND IM SO STOKED FOR THE JUNGLE MOVIE. HOLY MOLY. ALL OUR QUESTIONS ARE ABOUT TO BE ANSWERED AND ITS ABOUT TIME TOO.

3. VOLTRON SEASON 3 IS GOING TO BE ANGSTY™ AND IM NOT PREPARED. THAT IS ALL I HAVE TO SAY THERE.

4. PROTECT WILL BYERS. PLEASE JUST PROTECT THE CHILD AND PUT HIM IN ELEVEN’S PILLOW FORT WITH HIS FRIENDS AND THEY CAN WATCH THE GOONIES AND EAT CANDY AND BE UNTRAUMATIZED CHILDREN.

5. KINGSMAN’S TRAILER LOOKS FANTASTIC. I CANT WAIT TO MEET AGENT TEQUILA AND IM DOWN FOR ALL OF IT.

6. WE ARE GETTING ANOTHER CHANCE TO SEE PHINEAS AND FERB IN THE FLESH. IM ABOUT TO DIE. I HAVE BEEN WANTING IT TO COME OUT OF RETIREMENT FOR EVERRRRR.

COMIC CON AND D23 ARE GIFTS THAT JUST KEEP GIVING. I CANT HANDLE ALL THIS GOOD NEWS.

'Star Wars: The Last Jedi': Best Shots From the D23 Panel

While the highlight of the Star Wars: The Last Jedi presentation at the D23 Expo was undoubtedly the behind-the-scenes footage showing new aliens and some tender moments among the cast members, the segment also included a selection of on-set photographs by writer-director Rian Johnson that candidly captured the ensemble. With such an exciting lineup of films––Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-it Ralph 2, Coco, and The Incredibles 2, just to name a few––we’re sure this presentation will be full of surprises.

Recently new casting details from Marvel’s Spider-Man have been reveled at this year’s D23 Expo.  Ryan Penagos, Vice President & Executive Editor of Marvel Entertainment Digital Media posted slides from the event on his official Twitter page.  The series will premiere on Disney XD on at 7 A.M. with a big hour premiere on August 19.
