Which brie would you recommend for a modest cheese budget? I'm asking because I consume a small wheel of President brie every New Years and I wanna start 2017 off right.
Fromager d’Affinois is a nice double cream brie-style cheese that’s always super buttery and gooey. Get a wedge of that, eat it at room temperature. (Definitely don’t bake this one, it’ll just evaporate.) It’s typically around $15/lb, and a quarter pound should satisfy the average person.
Although let’s face it, it’s NYE, you’re casting off the tattered remains of 2016, you want to feel like 2017 is going to be better, so you eat half a pound of brie because why the fuck not. You wake up with a stomach ache, but is it the cheese, or the realization that the calendar date has changed but our culture is still a grim dystopia?
