Dong Bi develops beautifully in this drama. She starts off needy and vulnerable but determined to get what she wants from her relationship with her partner. It doesn’t work and she hurts her friends in the process trying to get what wants. But her mistakes help her evolve into someone strong who can stand in solitude. She was also the first young woman I saw in a kdrama that had a regular sexual relationship without any kind of stigma. I was so impressed because the previous dramas I had watched, and continue to, were so chaste in that aspect.
I don’t want you to be destroyed. I don’t want you to destroy yourself. I don’t want that to happen to you. You should live well, because you’re Tae Hyun’s dad. Even if I hate you, I want you to live well. I don’t want to destroy you.
