hi!! I'm going to new york next month and i need your help!! can you recommend some outfits that are cute and warm but easy to walk around in all day?? I'm from texas and thinking about dressing for the cold is kind of a struggle!!

Hey girl! That’s so exciting! It was in the mid 60′s today in NYC, which is really nice and warm. I would definitely recommend packing the week before or so when you know what the weather will be during the time your are there! In general, you can’t go wrong with packing comfortable shoes (like converse, ballet flats, flat black booties, and over the knee boots) and layers. The last time I went to NY, I packed lots of things I could mix + match and layer. For layers, you can’t go wrong with a denim jacket, utility jacket, vest, or leather jacket. However, if it’s colder while you are there, you may want to pack a coat or thick jacket. You also might want to consider packing jeans and leggings on bottom and solid tops. I also love a good black jumpsuit for day to night! I personally like an all black outfit and packing solid, versatile pieces (and a cohesive color palette). Sweaters are also always easy too! You can wear them with jeans and boots/booties when its cold, layered with a vest/jacket/coat or you can pair them with a skirt/shorts if it’s warmer outside as a good transition piece.

Have a great trip!

*If anybody from NY has any packing advice for March in New York, please share your suggestions/advice. As a Texas girl myself, I am not too familiar on NY weather/style*

Monday 8:27am
I woke up with you on my mind.
You called me babe last night —
my heart is still pounding.

Tuesday 10:53pm
Today I realized we won’t work.
What we are is hurting her.
And I think she matters more to me than you do.

Wednesday 11:52pm
I broke things off with you today.
She barely said a word.
I’ve never regretted anything more than this.

Thursday 4:03pm
I shouldn’t have sent that message.
You shouldn’t have been so okay with receiving it.

Friday 9:57pm
I almost messaged you today.
I didn’t.

Saturday 8:49pm
I’m walking around town in search of alcohol.
They say that liquor numbs the pain of having a broken heart.
I want to put that to the test.

Sunday 2:32am
I heard you texted a girl you’ve never spoken to before.
I wonder if it’s because you’re trying to replace me.
I can’t help but wish you weren’t.
I thought I was irreplaceable.
