Fluff? Fluff. Saeyoung going on an adventure to adopt a cat
maybe fluff will be our always, dear anon ;A;
ngl this is one of my favourite pieces i’ve written, this is so so cute ;-;
The quest for Elly 4th had accidentally begun when Saeyoung started randomly checking cat shelter websites daily.
He checked daily after a while, but assured himself that it was just in case he wanted a cat ‘in the future’.
Jumin told him once that having a pet was a huge investment, especially a cat who would need grooming and would need to look like royalty every single day.
Jaehee chimed in and noted that a cat is also a commitment, and said that he would need to move away from his computer often to look after it.
Saeyoung eventually decided to adopt a cat, needing his own Elly in his life.
He went to a nearby cat shelter and asked to simply look around and see if there was a cat he could call ‘the one’.
All around, there were cats desperate for homes - and every time one howled for attention, his heart ripped in two.
Saeyoung felt so bad that he could only pick one ;A;
He noticed one that was fast asleep and snoring slightly, and this cat was the one who caught his attention.
When the door opened and Saeyoung greeting the little cat, the cat woke up, stretched and waltzed over.
He was a calico cat, with orange and black splotches on his body like someone flicked a paintbrush at him.
He nuzzled his head against Saeyoung’s ankle, and the hacker’s heart melted.
Looking at his information sheet, Saeyoung noticed that the cat was named “King”, and that he was 11 years old.
“I love him!” Saeyoung proclaimed, giving King lots of fuss and letting him walk all over his lap and investigate him.
And Saeyoung knew that this cat was ‘the one’ he had been searching for.
He felt so happy with his new companion, and since King liked to nap often Saeyoung had him sleep on his lap while he was hacking - and his purring was the perfect tune to work to.
If ever Saeyoung had to leave to stock up on Dr Pepper, he would sneak King into his backpack (surprisingly, he hasn’t been spotted yet), letting him peer over the top and meow quietly at all of the food.
Saeyoung smiled whenever he saw King, and he even made a photo album filled with the two of them.
Jumin complained that King looked “old and frail”, but Saeyoung didn’t care; he loved King, no matter his age, and he told Jumin not to pick on him.
Yoosung, like Saeyoung, absolutely fell in love with King - the three of them would sit around the TV and play Mario Kart into the early hours of the morning.
King would always join in, meowing as one of them raged.
Saeyoung cherished his little buddy, and he vowed that he would always love King - even when he will eventually pass on.
Saeyoung vowed that he would always adopt elderly cats at the shelter, and give them a home to spend the last moments of their lives in and give them a happy ending.
It’s an illudes to:
-treatment of special needs children
-treatment of gay people in society
-treatment of people who are seen as otherwise “different” by society
-misuse of power (government)
-the backwardness of older people running society and setting societal norms
-treatment of new ideas and theories by society
-the impact of humans on the ice caps and the environment
-treatment of animals in zoos
Other reasons I love Happy Feet
-teaches that everyone belongs somewhere
-teaches that you have to be the change you want in a society
-teaches that no one should ever change themselves, no matter what or who tells them to
-teaches children not to judge based on societal norms
-cute penguins :)
