cursed tournament

I’ve only just realised how much the level Haunted Tomb from Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon reminds me of Yu-Gi-Oh. Riddles, tournaments, modern-day technology in an ancient setting (hovercraft tournament in god-knows BC?!) …

Also today marks the one-year anniversary of DSoD being released in Japan, so I guess this can be considered as a celebratory pic for it.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Readalong // 7th July: Dragons

I was born in the year of the Dragon

sadly I don’t have fire-breathing abilities

imagine this: a netflix show about ilvermorny which hosts a grand reopening of the triwizard tournament (there’s no more voldemort so it’s kinda safe) and all other schools are invited. representing hogwarts, amongst other students, are scorpius and albus. during the ceremony, scorpius is chosen to compete so albus, excited but also concerned for scorpius, finally confesses his feelings to him. guided by his love for albus, scorpius wins the tournament, finally becoming the scorpion king (a kind one, not the alternate reality one)

A warning about your Hogwarts AU: according to "HP and the Cursed Child", the Triwizard Tournament has been again suppressed because of Cedric Diggory's death and Voldemort's return; this means you'll have to give up that Yule Ball's idea if you want to stay "canon" to the universe of HP... :(

Thanks but who said I have to follow that rule?

An AU is an AU. I can do what I want without needing to adhere to every canon rule.

Really guys, the nice thing about fandoms is that *it. Doesn’t. Matter.* If you follow the creator to the book or not. Seriously, have some fun.
