A/N: I swear I don’t mean to be so late with these posts. But I’m just a lazy person. But here we go… finally. Lol I hope you enjoy let me know what you think and I’ve a feeling we might have two more parts to come. Love Always G xx 💜

Part One / Part Two / Part Three /

Y/N lay on Carlos’ bed sketching away, coloured pencils everywhere. Three in her hair, two in her hand, one her mouth it was just pencils everywhere. She could hear Carlos mumbling something about “it not being the right time” but Y/N was so busy with the new sketches she barely paid any attention.

Until Mal burst through the door, flashes from the cameras caught Y/Ns attention as she glanced up to see a flustered Mal.
“Hey Mal” Y/N gleamed

Before she could answer the news caught Mal’s attention
“Mal must be counting the days until the Royal Cotillion, when she will officially become a Lady of the Court.”

Mal grabbed the remote in anger cutting off the news.

Y/N glanced at Carlos worried. “Whoa, easy girl”

Mal still frustrated and upset lashed out. “What? You think this is so easy? You don’t have people taking your photo every time you open your mouth to say Boo! I mean it’s not like I could even say Boo. But you know what I mean… I’m sorry”

Y/N sat up right on the bed, sketches long forgotten. Something had clearly spooked Mal.
“Don’t you guys ever miss screaming at people and just making them run away from you?” she asked.

Y/N stood from the bed and made her way over to comfort Mal, she wrapped her in a big hug and whispered in ear so only Mal could hear. “Yes”

Mal smiled weakly at Y/N knowing how much she missed Harry.

“You’re thinking of my Mother, and I was usually on the other end of that. So, not really no.” Carlos finished.

Carlos stood and made his way over to the two girls “Did you bring it?”
Y/N confused looked at Mal, then at Carlos, back to Mal and back at Carlos again.
“Am I missing something?” she asked pointing between Mal and Carlos.

Before either one could answer the sound of the door opening caught their attention. Definitely wasn’t anyone they were expecting.

Chad crept through the door expecting no one to be in the room, trying and failing to sneak into the room unsuspected. When he finally managed to close the door as quietly as possible he turned to face the room, where he was met with three very confused and annoyed faces.

“Hi.” Chad blushed
“Just came to use your 3D printer won’t be a sec”
Y/N put her hand up to stop Chad from moving any further “Hold on”
“How’d you get a key to Carlos’ room?”
“Oh I printed it off the last time I was in here” He smirked, proudly

Carlos looking torn between confused and unamused “Uhh…?”
Chad picking up on the confusion finished the story “You guys were sleeping. Look I just…”
“CHAD” Y/N shouted cutting Chad off mid-sentence.
“You can’t go around breaking into other people’s rooms.”

“It’s just Carlos, your printer is so much better than mine, and you install these hacks and everything runs so much smoother than mine and –“
Carlos who was fuming at this stage pointed at the door “OUT NOW”
Chad clearly not picking up on Carlos’ anger tried to stall “Fine, fine”

Chad sulked back heading for the door. Y/N glanced at Mal shaking her head. “Chad!”
Chad faced the group hoping they’d let him use the printer. “What? Hmm?”
“Leave the Key” Y/N said walking towards Chad, holding out her hand
Chad sighed and placed the key in Y/N’s hand before sulking out of the room.

When Y/N faced the two she could see they were in a deep conversation. Y/N could hear Jane’s name and something about a potion and she immediately knew Carlos had asked Mal to make a truth gummie.

“Carlos. You don’t need a truth gummie to tell Jane how you feel” Y/N spoke

“Y/N’s right Carlos because this gummie is going to make you say the truth all the time no matter what. And the only reason we’re asking is because if I took that gummie right now, I would get myself sent back to the isle” Mal finished.

“Which not that it doesn’t sound appealing…” Y/N broke off

Carlos stuck out his hand waiting for the gummie “I’ll take my chances”
Mal shuck her head, disappointed “Okay”
However, before Mal could hand it over Dude ate the gummie swallowing it whole.
Carlos clearly frustrated shouted at Dude “BAD DOG”
“Man that thing is nasty” Dude spoke

Mal, Carlos and Y/N stood with mouths open wide, shocked that Dude spoke.
“And you.. You just got to man up. And while you’re at it scratch my butt.”
Carlos looked at Mal fear in his eyes
“You heard him scratch his butt”
Carlos looked at Y/N pleadingly, Y/N threw her hands up backing away “Nope he’s your dog”
“You’re just going to leave me with him?”

Y/N grabbed her sketches and pencils quickly rushing out of the room with Mal in tow
“YUP” the two girls called out.

Y/N was so caught up in the romance novel that the loud bang scared her throwing her off the bed in fear. She peered over the edge of the bed curiously to see a sobbing Mal.
“Mal?” Y/N asked curiously brushing her knees as she stood.
“I don’t belong here” Mal cried grabbing clothes and bag quickly from under the bed.
“Tell me about it” Y/N snorted.
“I’m going back Y/N” Mal continued packing clothes, it was only until Y/N noticed the purple did she realise it was her old clothes, before she left the isle, before Auradon, before Ben.

“Seriously?” Y/N gulped, this was a chance for Y/N. To go back, to see Harry, to explain and to see Uma. Without another thought Y/N grabbed the bag from under her bed, already filled with the necessities.
“Let’s go then” she stated.

Mal stared at Y/N and then at the bag.
“You’ve been thinking about this for a while?” she pointed at the bag
Y/N sighed nodding “Yes but who was I going to tell, certainly not Evie. Now c’mon let’s go. Grab your mother”

Mal pierced a few holes in a cardboard box and grabbed her mother from the tank which she resided in.
“Let’s blow this popsicle stand”
“Hey” Y/N whined
“That’s my line.”

Y/N held on tightly to Mal as she drove the motorcycle to the edge of Auradon. She could see the Isle more clearly now. They were nearly home. Y/N handed Mal the spell book to get them across the water.
“Noble steed, proud and fair, you shall take me anywhere” Mal handed the book back to Y/N as she placed in the bag.
“Please work” Mal prayed

Y/N squealed as the motorcycle bounced a few times on the water before reaching the Isle and breaking through the barrier. The skidded to a halt in the lower town.
“Watch it!”
A few of the towns folk shouted and grumbled at the disturbance.
Y/N scoffed “BITE ME”
Mal turned to face Y/N grinning from ear to ear.
Y/N high fived Mal, they made it to the Isle again. Mal pushed off and drove towards the hideout.

Evie paced outside the door for a good few minutes. How could Y/N leave her here, how could Mal leave her here. She gripped the note tighter in her hands and pushed the door open to Ben’s office.
Ben spun round to face Evie, face beaming.
“Evie! C’mon in” he waved her in.
Evie handed the note written in her sister’s hand writing to Ben
“They’ve gone back to the Isle.”
Ben sighed, sinking back into his chair.

“This is all my fault. I blew it with Mal. She’s been under so much pressure lately, and instead of being understanding I just went all Beast on her. I have to go there and apologize. I have to go there and beg her to come back.”

Evie sighed she knew Y/N really wanted to go back to the Isle she didn’t realise how much though.
“Ben. You’ll never find her. I know Y/N has so many secret hideouts they could be in any of them. You need to know how the isle works and…” Evie trailed off as another idea hit her.

“You have to take me with you”
Ben grinned “YES! Uh are..are you sure?”
Evie nodded “Yes, Mal’s my best friend but Y/N’s my sister I need to find them both. Oh, we’ll bring the boys as well, because there’s safety in numbers. And none of us is too popular over there right now.”
Ben hugged Evie tightly “Thank you”

Evie pushed Ben back to make sure he understood her properly.
“Let’s get two things straight. You have to promise me that I won’t get stuck there again, or Y/N?”
Ben nodded “I promise”
“And there is no way you are going looking like that” Evie scoffed at his outfit.
Evie grabbed Ben to get some Isle clothes that would help him blend in.

Mal and Y/N made their way to Lady Tremaine’s Curl Up & Dye to get Mal’s old hair back.
“Place hasn’t changed” Y/N declared looking around the room as young Dizzy swept the floor blasting tunes in her kick ass headphones.
“Nope” Mal nodded
Dizzy eventually noticed the two standing in the doorway and as always, she was super excited.
“Mal. Y/N.” She hugged the two
“Is Evie back too?”
“As if!” Mal snorted. Y/N elbowed Mal to shut up.
“No Dizzy she hasn’t come with us. It’s just us.” Y/N smiled.

Y/N walked off taking a little tour of the place as Mal and Dizzy talked. She noticed the broken mirror which she and Harry broke when they took their paintball fight into the shop, Dizzy clearly liked the splats of colour as she added to the ones they created. Y/N’s heart twinged thinking about Harry. She was this close, finally back on the isle again.

“How far can I go?” Dizzy asked
“The works? I mean whatever makes me feel like me again. But you know…”
“Way worse?” Y/N butted in.
Mal winked at Y/N “Exactly”
Dizzy jumped with joy at the news “Yay”

Y/N sat on the chair filing her nails as she watched Mal get the whole treatment, first the hair, then her nails. After two and a half hours Dizzy spun Mal to face the broken mirror. Mal bent a little to look in the cracks. “There I am”

Y/N threw her feet off the table and stood up, “Eh Voila”

Mal handed Dizzy some money for her hard work. Dizzy was so shocked she smiled so brightly. “For me?”
Mal nodded “Yea, you earned it.”
Dizzy skipped over to the cash register to place it inside.

Y/N was grabbing her bags from the back when she heard the commotion. She made her way out from the back when a voice she longed to hear reached her ears. She knew Harry wouldn’t be able to see her from where she stood, but she could see him.
“Fork it over ye runt.” Dizzy handed the money to Harry pouting.
“Now the rest” Dizzy grumbled getting the rest out and handing it over too.

Y/N scooted around the pillars to avoid being seen by Harry. After all this time, and not being able to see him, and now she could, she didn’t know if she was ready.

“hmm.. Thank you” Harry grinned waltzing towards the door.
“Still running errands for Uma, or do you actually get to keep what you steal?” Mal snarked.
Harry stopped, and turned slowly to face Mal, grinning from ear to ear “Well, Well, Well. What a nice surprise”

Harry ran the hook through Mal’s hair.
“Hi Harry”
“Just wait till Uma hears your back. She’s never going to give you your old territory back.”
“Oh, well that’s okay! Because I will be taking it” Mal sniped back.
“I could hurt you” Harry threatened
“Not without her permission, I bet.”

Harry tutted and waltzed out towards the door again, a little glimmer in his peripheral caught his attention and he slowly turned to face it.

Harry’s breath got caught in his chest. Y/N was here too. Sitting on one of Dizzy’s chairs looking anywhere but at him. Trying to act like you didn’t care but he noticed your leg bouncing, the anticipation, the anxiousness it was killing you.

Y/N rose up from the chair and finally made eye contact with Harry, he stood there long enough staring, it was starting to bother her. She knew Dizzy and Mal was watching the interaction between you both, least you could cut the tension with a butter knife.

“Y/N/N?” Harry finally spoke.
Y/N walked towards Harry holding her hand out,
“Give it back”
Harry looked confused. There she stood looking brilliant and fabulous as ever.
Y/N grabbed Harry’s hand that held the money taking it with ease, he put up no fight. He was just glad you were back.
“Here Dizzy” Y/N handed the money back over. Dizzy grabbed the money and ran to hide somewhere safe.
“Your back” Harry spoke again.
“Yes. Now leave… please” Y/N motioned towards the door.
“But don’t you want to come back to Ursulas?”
“Yes. No. Yes. No. I don’t know yet Harry” Y/N shouted

Harry huffed. He stomped his foot in frustration, “Well when you know, you know where we are.”
Harry scoffed and stormed out.
Mal who watched it all placed a comforting hand on Y/N’s shoulder.
“Why don’t you go?”
Y/N shrugged “I don’t know, I guess I wasn’t ready to see him just yet.”

“Later Dizzy” Mal called out as she and Y/N left the salon. They made their way to the hideout. Mal threw a rock at the sign and lead Y/N up the steps. Y/N fell face first onto the sofa. She screamed into the cushions that only muffled her scream slightly.
Mal sat on the end waiting for Y/N to come around.
“What happened?”
Y/N peered out at Mal from under the cushions. “I think I love him Mal”

I Won’t Say I’m In Love (Harry Hook X Reader)

Could you do Harry X Daughter of Hades reader with her attitude more like Meg (NOT related to her, like how Jay acts more like Aladdin) I can’t stop thinking about the song I won’t say (I’m in love).
I kind of took the song idea and ran with it soooo…

If there was a prize for rotten judgement, you had already won it. Every person that you were drawn was inherently bad, not in the sense that they were a villain like you, but in the aspect that they wanted to break you heart. First the son of Scar, then the son Shan Yu, the sons of Mother Gothel, The Queen of Hearts and Dr Facilier equally as damaging to your mental wellbeing. Boys to you, were bad news, and you had had your heart broken so many times it was becoming tiring. You were the daughter of Hades, a goddess who was supposed to be the embodiment of evil, but it was hard to uphold a stone-cold reputation when you were constantly sniffling about your latest failed love interest. It was your best friend who always had to scoop you up off the floor, your best friend who always told you you were better than which ever villain broke your heart, your best friend who taught you that you didn’t need any pathetic boyfriend to make you worthy. It was also you best friend who had threatened to hook anybody who so much as looked at you the wrong way, but that was a habit you were trying to talk him out of. In short our best friend was pretty fucking amazing, if not a little intense. So you took his advice and made a new philosophy, vowing to never fall in love again. It wasn’t quite what he had meant but it was the easiest way to insure you would’t be hurt once more. Why would you need a relationship when you already had everything you needed in a best friend, when you already had everything you needed in Harry Hook.

“I could hurt ye,” Harry whispered a hint of seduction lingering in his Scottish accent as he traced the outline of Mal’s face with his hook.
He didn’t believe his luck when he found his Captain’s worst enemy in the “Curl Up and Dye” whilst making his usual rounds, and was using the opportunity to get underneath her skin. His brief session of intimidation was swiftly interrupted by the entrance of a very familiar goddess.
“Oh come on Harry! My best friend hasn’t even been on the Isle for an hour and you’re already threatening her! Hands off now!”
You had walked in on Harry threatening one of your closest friends, Evie and Dizzy standing in a corner not really knowing what to do.
You marched towards the smirking pirate and gave him the look, the look that meant business, the look that meant: you have two seconds to do what I say or I can no longer be held responsible for my actions.
Harry sighed.
“Oh come on Y/N, I’m only playing” he taunted, grinning at you slightly two widely.
You rolled your eyes.
“I thought I was yer best friend not her”
“Ye haven’t replaced me now have ye darling?” He said with mock sarcasm, turning to you with puppy eyes before winking. He was still poking his hook at Mal, making you huff a little.
You changed your tactics, standing behind the pirate and pushing your lips to his ear.
“Now where would you get that idea Hook” you said so quietly it could have been a whisper, slowly running your hand up Harry’s back.
You felt all of his muscles tense up under his shirt and smirked to yourself. Your plan worked, his focus shifted to you instead of the purple haired VK. Suddenly you pulled him backwards away from Mal and stood in front of him, arms crossed with an un-amused look painted on your face.
“Don’t look at me like that. Ye make it out like I’m some kind of bad guy” Harry grinned, his signature smirk reappearing.
“That’s because you are”
The pirate pouted.
“Yer forgetting that ye ain’t exactly a saint yourself Y/N”.
You both looked each other in the eye, trying to keep a straight face, but cracked simultaneously, erupting into a fit of giggles.
“Perhaps. I guess this is why we are friends,” you said eventually but then hardened your tone again. “But I swear to god Har. If you threaten Mal again I’ll personally make sure you’re banished to the underworld. I don’t care how much Uma hates her”
You glanced at Mal with a smile, who had gone to join Dizzy and Evie in the corner of the salon.
“Anything for ye…” Harry started, when his eyes lit up with mischief you new exactly how he was going to finish the sentence. The dreaded nickname.
“Don’t you dare call m-”
“Hot stuff!”.
He winked at you and you groaned running towards him and shoving his chest. Harry had called you hot stuff since you were ten, when he made you so angry that your hair ignited, engulfing your head with cobalt flames much like your father. You begged him for days to stop, but seeing as you hated it so much (mainly due to the fact that people started to presume you were together) Harry decided to keep it.

As your hands connected with the pirate chest, he grabbed your arm and pulled you towards him. In a second, you were tossed over his shoulder, kicking, screaming and flailing your limbs as he spun you around in a circle, his hook resting over the small of your back. You were both chuckling heartily, completely forgetting you had an audience until little Dizzy cleared her throat loudly enough for you to hear.
“Harold James Hook! Put me down right now!”
“Any thing ye say… Hot stuff”
“Harry!” You screeched.
“Well as much as I would love to stay and chat.. hot stuff” He ignored your glare but sniggered to himself before continuing “But I’ve got more children to steal from”
Immediately your jaw clenched and Harry realised his mistake too late.
“You’re stealing from children again?”
He ran his hands through his hair and avoided your eyes.
“I am a villain Y/N. It’s what I do”
“No, we talked about this Harry! You’re a villain yes, but not a monster. You don’t steal from children”
“Uma told me t-”
“Uma doesn’t control what you do”
“No, I’m sorry I forgot that was ye job” Harry muttered sarcastically under his breath.
You raised an eyebrow at him long enough for him to cave in.
“Fine! I’ll give it all back!” The pirate finally announced “Ye going to be the death of my Y/N” he said rolling his eyes.
“What else are best friends for Harry?” You grinned back at him as he made his way out of the salon.
“Dizzy yer money” He grumbled reluctantly, dropping it by the door before turning back to face you “Meet you in the market at seven?”
“Meet you in the market at seven” you reaffirmed, nodding at him with a grin.
Harry hadn’t even been gone 10 seconds before you were descended on by the group of confused yet intrigued VK’s standing in the corner.

“Oh. My. God!” Evie shrieked like a little school girl, jumping up and down and squealing
“We knew it! We all new it!” Dizzy shouted, grabbing your forearm and tugging at it a little.
You huffed but chuckled lightly at their giddiness.
“You know what?”
“That you love Harry!” Mal practically shouted, grabbing your other arm and beaming at you.
“No.” You said defiantly, your top lip wrinkling at the mention of the word love. “I most certainly do not.”
“Who’d you think you’re kidding Y/N?” Evie laughed “He’s the earth and heaven to you”
“He’s my best friend!” You protested.
“We can see right through you. You love each other!” Mal added, glancing at Evie with a knowing look.
“It’s okay Mal, just shout it a bit louder. I don’t think the deaf man at the end of the alley quite heard you” you hissed, shaking the girls off of your arm “We do not love each other okay?”
“But you have him wrapped around your finger! Do you think he would have given me back my money if anbody else had told him to” Dizzy tried to reason.
“He’s my best friend!” You repeated.
“And I’ve seen the way you look at each other” Mal said.
“He’s all you talk about, all you think about” Evie said backing her up.
You inhaled sharply before starting to ramble, refusing to take a breath until you had finished
“I am not in love with Harry Hook he is my best friend and that’s how it has been and how it will always be everything works just fine the way it is we do not need to complicate that by taking it any further I mean why would we anyway relationships aren’t even a thing on the isle and I don’t need to ruin the one thing that I got right because of some stupid feelings that might not even really be there”
The three VK’s looked at each other, then at you
“Oh my gosh Y/N you’re scared of falling in love”
“I am not!”
“Face it like a grown up Y/N, you’ve got it bad. It’s a good thing you know, love is a good thing”
“You don’t get it”
“But we do… Don’t be proud Y/N, it’s okay to admit you’re in love”
You just looked at them for a second, your stony facade wavering slightly as a memory invaded your thoughts.

Vibrant, curious, alive with bounce and effort. That’s how you remember the two of you that night. Your hair was flowing behind you, rustled by the breeze, as you ran giggling from the brunette beside you. He was mesmerised by your goofy grin, your cheeks pink from the cold. You and Harry couldn’t have been older than seven but you had snuck out once the sun had set, running barefoot down a grassy sand dune, holding your shoes in one hand, tossing them over one shoulder, grabbing each others hand with the opposite.
“Harry, look at the sea!” You shouted with wonder.
Reflected on the gossamer surface of the ocean was a perfect silver orb, a full moon, making the young pirate laugh a little.
“It’s only the moon Y/N”
“But it looks pretty though. It just looks so perfect ” you defended, pouting a little as you gazed out at the water.
“Yer really weird you know” Harry said, letting go of your hand but shuffling closer to you.
“Oh” was all you said quietly.
“It’s a good thing” Harry rushed, trying to explain what he was thinking “Ye know normal people are boring”
Harry looked at you, his pirate hat was way too big for his head so it slouched too far forward, covering his eyes. You broke out into an uncontrollable smile as you looked up at Harry who even at that age was taller than you.
“I love you Harry”
“I love you too”
Then the seven year old pirate knelt down, one knee digging into the wet sand as he took off his hat. He scrambled around in his back pocket until he pulled out a small copper ring, a glossy black stone adorned the band.
You gasped.
“Will ye marry me Y/N?” the younger Harry Hook announced, giving you the ring and grinning like the Cheshire Cat.
Your smile was even wider.
“Har! We are far too young to get married! Ask me again when we’re older and I’ll say yes.”
You passed him back the ring and kissed his cheek.
“Okay Y/N” Harry said slightly deflated but still smiling as wide, “Ye better not forget”

When you snapped out of your daydream, Evie, Mal and Dizzy were staring at you with smug looks, leaving you to wonder how long you had zoned out for.
“I won’t say I’m in love” was all you huffed before you left the salon.

You weren’t even half way down the street before you started to curse the three of them. Because, for the first time, it occurred to you. They might actually be right.
You were in love with Harry Hook.
You were in love with Harry Hook.
He was your one stable force, your one ounce of stability in a world of chaos who was always there through good and bad. You loved him so much for that. You were in love with him and you couldn’t believe that you’d only just realised it.
But then the doubt came.
You knew he didn’t love you back, Harry had made it very clear on numerous occasions, hell, he was the one who told you to stop falling in love. Once before you had tried to confess your feelings for Harry, even if you didn’t consciously realise that was what you were doing yourself, and the outcome had bruised way more than just your ego.

Ursula’s Fish and Chip Shop was packed as per usual. You were hustled into a particularly lively corner, talking with Harry over a plate full of fries. It wasn’t unusual for you two to eat together, in fact you had been bonding over questionably good fish and chips for as long as you could remember. It had become a tradition. Much like it had become a tradition to try and calm Harry down when he told you about who was irritating him and tradition for him to throw food all over the place. Much like how it had become tradition for Harry to glare at anybody else who tried to talk to you until they walked away. Much like how it had become tradition for you to laugh at him and tell him to relax. But that day was different.
“I don’t think ye understand how much I hate that kid,” Harry snarled, picking up a handful of fries and launching them across the room. Normal.
“Har! When did you ever care what Drew thinks anyway? If you’re mad at him, fine by me, but don’t waste my food on his sorry ass,” you laughed, hugging the plate of chips protectively. Harry slumped down beside you, muttering to himself. Also normal.
“Have ye got a problem mate because if not ye need to move along and stop looking at Y/N. She isn’t interested” He shouted at whichever poor boy was approaching you. Again completely and utterly normal.
“Give it a rest Har, I can defend myself” you giggled. Normal, sweet normal.
But then you tilted your head to look at him
“Besides Harry, I wanted to ask you something”
Not normal. This was new. This was un-expected. This was spontaneous, out of blue, intriguing but not in any realm of normality.
“Well ask away” replied Harry with a grin, clearly he wasn’t phased by the new conversation.
“I was just wondering whether you wanted to go and see the floating lanterns with me tomorrow, you know for my birthday. They’ll be lighting them in Auradon all weekend so if we get boat at night we’ll be able to see them across the lake” You looked up at Harry hopefully “I thought it could be nice”
“Ye want to see the lanterns?”
You nodded your head.
“Ye have always been odd Y/N. But yes, I’ll come see the lanterns with ye. I’ll get Uma and Gil to come t-”
“No!” You said quickly before returning your voice back to normal “I mean, maybe us two could just go.
You smiled weakly at Harry, who cocked his head and looked at you differently. It took a moment for you to realise what you had just done. You had asked Harry on a date. You cursed yourself over and over unable to comprehend why you had just done that. He rubbed the back off his neck.
“Hmm, when I think about it I have to train some new crew members with Uma. Maybe another time?”
Your stomach twinged a little but your forced yourself to keep smiling.
“What about the day after. Like I say they’ll be letting them off all weeke-”
“I’m on lookout duty all that night”
“Oh” You felt about two centimetres tall in that moment but you refused to let that stupid smile falter.
“How about you just tell me when you’re free and we’ll go on a boat trip then. Lanterns or no lanterns. I mean my birthday would have passed but it’s okay”
Harry put his hook down on the table and avoided your gaze purposely.
“I don’t really have time for a boat trip. I’ve just always got stuff to do”
Rejected. You had just been rejected by your best friend and it stung like a bitch.
“That okay,” you lied “No worries”
Harry picked up another chip and ate it awkwardly. You didn’t speak for a while.
A small piece of you had just died, but you kept that goddamn smile on your face.
“Are ye okay Y/N, ye look like yer going to be sick”
“Yeah yeah I’m fine. Actually no, I think I’m getting sick. I’m just going to sleep it off. Bye”
You ran out of the restaurant and away from a bewildered looking pirate, before he could stop you. You couldn’t work out why you were crying about Harry Hook that day but looking back it was so obvious; your heart had been re-broken.

You weren’t mad at Harry after that day, how could you be? He hadn’t done anything wrong, he just didn’t love you in that way. But that was okay, because he was still your best friend, nothing could take away from that. So you moved on, accepted that being friends was the best you were going to get and pushed any feelings you had for Harry deep down. Just not deep enough.

You were down at the market place before Harry was, so you took the time you had spare to browse the various stalls, ignoring the calls of market traders to buy their produce. Usually if you wanted something you would just steal it, an odd apple here and there, a random scarf from time to time. Recently though, you had being to cut back on your petty thieving vice so you resisted the urge to take anything. You made your way to a small cart at the back of the market selling jewellery, the whole stand glinting with golds, silvers and bronzes. You knew none of it would be precious metal, you simply didn’t get that on the isle, but they were pretty nonetheless.
“How much is this one,” you said, picking up a silver hair brooch encrusted with small red gems.
The market vender was about to answer but was cut off by a voice from behind you, a familiar palm resting on your shoulder.
“Might not be the best idea to get that with yer hair sweetheart” Harry whispered, pulling himself in close to you and speaking in your ear.
A nauseating jolt of butterfly’s rippled through your stomach before you could stop yourself. Get a grip girl. You tried to tell yourself but you couldn’t help it.
You handed the hair clip back to the stall worker and walked away with Harry.
“I was going to get that you know” you said, punching Harry playfully in the arm.
He grinned at you.
“I didn’t know ye were the jewellery type hot stuff”
You punched him again for using that god awful nickname before you answered him.
“I love jewellery Har, you know it’s one of my many weakness’”
It was true, Harry would often tease you, calling you a magpie, as you had a soft spot necklaces and earrings.
“I got you something” Harry said quietly, opening the his palm to reveal a intricate ring. He reached for your hand, slipping it onto your finger and smiling at you.
You looked at the pirate, then at the ring, then back at the pirate again.
“Harry! It’s beautiful” You flung your arms around him but then paused “Did you steal it?”
Harry scoffed.
“Did I steal it? Ye got some nerve ye do Y/N. Of course I didn’t. I’m just offended ye don’t recognise it” he laughed.
You looked at the ring Harry had given you again. It was copper, a glossy black stone adorning the band. It was the ring from the beach, the ring from your childhood. You took a step backwards
“Harry I-”
You were cut off when Harry pushed his forehead against yours, your eyes widening in alarm. He slowly, started to angle his head towards yours, his lips parting slightly. He was going to kiss you, holy shit he was going to kiss you. A wave of anger washed over you almost instantly.
“Harry what the hell!”
You slapped him hard, straight across his face, surprising the both of you. You were only getting angrier.
“No! Stop it! Stop playing with my emotions! I thought you were different! I don’t get it, you don’t like me enough to spend time with me on my birthday Harry, MY BIRTHDAY, but somehow you think it’s okay to spring shit like this on me!” The ends of your hair were burning blue now
“I didn’t mean to-”
“This is all just an intimidation thing isn’t it” you yelled not caring who was staring now “You flirt with everyone you’re trying to intimidate I knew that, but I’m supposed your best friend, why are you trying to scare me”
“I don’t w-”
“I’m going to walk away now so I don’t set myself on fire in public,” you said as calmly as you could manage “Go try and kiss somebody else”

You had to calm down and you knew it. You had to do it fast. Your hair was always the first thing to catch fire but the burning sensation would spread further than that if you couldn’t control it. You wanted to cry, to scream, to tear down a building when you stomped away from Harry, your confusion at his actions amplifying your emotions. You had to stay in control. There was one time when you couldn’t, when the anger was so overwhelming that your body temperature rose so dangerously high that you collapsed. You were hospitalised for weeks with severe burns, reiterating the fact that although you were the daughter of a god, you weren’t immortal. An uncomfortable prickle of heat spread across your skin as you collapsed in the alleyway bawling. You were lucky that Evie found you.
“He tried to kiss me Evie. I don’t understand him and it’s driving me insane. I don’t know what he’s thinking,”
“Oh Y/N,” Evie said, daring to touch your shoulder once you had cooled down “You are literally the only person on the whole Isle who can’t hear what he’s trying to tell you”

Optimistic. That’s how you felt as you stepped onto that pirate a ship, a strong belief that everything was going to turn out brilliantly. Evie helped you to accept that perhaps you over-reacted at Harry’s attempt to kiss you, so you marched to the docks armed with an apology and a sorry looking smile. You felt terrible, if Harry had truly intended to kiss you genuinely then you couldn’t even begin to understand how he was feeling. Not only had you completely rejected the poor pirate, you had embarrassed him in front of the whole market. The saddest part of all of the whole messy situation was that you actually wanted to kiss Harry, it was your fear of admitting your feelings that was pushing you away. You hoped Harry was in an understanding mood.

You scoured the upper deck for the pirate but you struggled to find him anywhere. You did on the other hand, find Uma.
“Hey Uma! Do you know where Harry is?” You asked the Captain, slowly making your way towards her.
You may not exactly have been friends with Uma but you two were civil and got along well enough. She nodded at you reluctantly, as if contemplating whether to speak.
“He’s in his cabin,” she replied softly, looking at you with pity.
You presumed she was acting strangely because Harry had told her about the market incident. You were wrong.

You whistled to yourself as you you climbed the stairs to Harry’s cabin, pausing outside of his door to give yourself a pep talk. There was no point in denying it anymore, you were completely and utterly head over heels for the boy and bottling your feelings up wasn’t going to help anything. You decided then and there you were just going to tell him, get everything off of your chest once and for all. It was Harry after all, you could tell him anything in confidence and vice versa, the two of you were practically inseparable.
“You’ve got this Y/N,” You told yourself “Get in there and get yourself a boyfriend”.
You grinned nervously but felt oddly calm, opening the door of Harry’s bedroom.
“Har?” You called out softly.
Then your whole world collapsed.

Harry Hook.
Hailey Facilier.
Each other.
On the lips.
That’s all you had to see to know it had happened again.
Your heart had well and truly broken this time.
You shut the door slowly, knowing they hadn’t seen you.
You felt like you’d been hit in the face.
But the funny thing was, you weren’t surprised. Harry was the biggest flirt on the Isle, he was known to break hearts left right and centre, yet you refused to believe he would do that to you. It was like giving a murder a knife and expecting not to be stabbed. After all he had said about the guys who had hurt you, he had joined the list himself. But you still weren’t prepared for it. How could you possibly have prepared to have your heart ripped out of your chest. You underestimated the power of heartbreak. Why were you never ready for it? Because you loved him. Or maybe because you were in denial. You thought Harry would never do it to you. You thought the murder wouldn’t stab you. But you had been stabbed all right, stabbed right in the very back.

You stumbled your way back to the main ship. You couldn’t see, you didn’t know where you were or where you were going, you knew one thing and one thing only. You were burning. Anger boiled deep down in your system, as hot as lava, scorching you from the inside out. It churned from within you, hungry for destruction and you knew this time that it’s too much for you to handle. There was no way for you to control this. The pressure of the raging sea of anger wouldn’t just force you to say things you didn’t mean or release the pent up emotions you had suppressed for weeks, it would hurt people, including yourself. Seriously hurt people.
How could you Harry? was the only thought you had as you hit the deck.

“Harry!” Gil yelled as he ran to find the first mate “Harry! We don’t know what to do!”
The doors to Harry’s cabin flew open revealing him sat alone at the foot of his bed, his head in his hands. He jerked his head to face Gil.
“What are ye going on about,” he snapped.
“It’s Y/N! I think she’s about to set on fire again!”
Harry winced at your name but still managed to roll his eyes.
“She’s the daughter of bloody Hades what do ye expect! Ye know her hair sets on fire”
Gil shook his head violently, so much so it made him dizzy
“Yeah but Harry! It’s not just her hair!”

Harry was panicking. He was there when this happened before, when he had no idea what to do, when all he could do was stand and watch you. He raced down to the ship deck, where you were laid on the floor, a crowd of pirates surrounding you. He pushed them all out of the way.
“What the fuck has made her so mad!” Harry screamed to no-one in particular as he kneeled beside you.
“Get away from me!” You spat, wiggling as far from his as you could. You couldn’t stand up anymore, your entire body glowing red as you continued to get hotter and hotter. It hurt to move.
“Please,” you croaked, any resentment in your voice vanishing, leaving you completely vulnerable “Please just go back to Hailey”
“What do you mean back to Ha- Y/N you’ve got this all wrong”
Without thinking Harry reached for you, wrapping an arm around your shoulder and pulling you in close. He grimaced, a searing burning pain exploding from the arm that was holding you but he shrugged it off, pulling you into a closer embrace. He started to rub your cheek.
“Please try and calm yer self down Y/N” He whispered to you.
“Let go of me Harry, I’m hurting you”. You were crying but your tears turned to steam as soon as they touched your face.
“I’m the one that’s hurt ye love and I’m sorry”
His embrace was soothing, his muscular arms protective of you as he held your frail burning body. Slowly but surely you felt your body temperature decline.
“Do you love her Harry?” It was a question you didn’t want to know the answer to but you asked anyway.
“Y/N ye don’t seriously think that do ye?” He gripped your harder. Your skin was no longer glowing like embers of a bonfire but you still far from back to normal.
“I saw you kissing and-”
“She kissed me Y/N! She kissed me! And I pushed her off me! And I screamed at her because…” He paused for a second and just looked at you.
“Because what?” Your voice was gentler now.
“Because I fucking love ye Y/N”
It happened suddenly, as if someone had flipped a switch.
You were extinguished.
The flames disappeared.
A new kind of warmth dispersed inside of you, a tingling happy glow of heat radiating from your stomach banishing the remnants of any anger. You melted, returning back to your normal state, looking up at Harry in disbelief.
“Ye heard me, I love ye. And I’ve told myself for so long that I didn’t, because I was scared of ye finding out but I can’t help it I-”
“I love you too Har”
You buried your face into the crook of Harry’s neck, no longer afraid of burning him to death.
The Pirates around you began to cheer and you became suddenly aware that you had an audience. Harry waved his hands in an odd gesture and they all scurried away, leaving you sat on Harry’s lap in the middle of the ship.
“I’m sorry for being a dick”
“And I’m sorry for nearly giving you third degree burns”
You both spluttered with laughter.
“Yer lethal Y/N. Remind me of this whenever I plan on making ye angry again,”
“Oh so you plan on making me angry in advance do you?” You smirked back at the pirate.
You were back to being Y/N and Harry again, slipping back into the comforting roles as if nothing had happened,as if you hadn’t just been sat on the floor consumed by your own raging anger. It was refreshing.
“Ye better believe it” Harry winked at you.
He offered you a hand and pulled you up to stand behind him.
“Now!” He said grandly “About that boat trip ye were banging on about…”
Harry lead you to the ship’s railing and motioned towards a small white rowing boat tied up along the docks, a singular paper lantern resting at the bow.
You grinned at him.
“Harold James Hook, have I told you I love you?”
“I love ye more”
“Not possible”
“It is”
“It isn’t”
“It is”
“God we’re unbearable aren’t. we,” you chuckled lightly.
“I’m afraid we are..” Harry smirked “…Hotstuff”

Growing up, you didn’t have a lot of friends. Surprisingly, most people didn’t want their head to be chopped off!

Your mother was the Queen of Hearts. Was. Most days she wandered around your shabby home, cutting off the heads of your dolls and reliving all her memories of her frightening reign. She would glance off into the distance and then smile at you innocently after telling you another one of her “adventures.” But you knew that innocence was fake. She did horrible things.

“Someday you’ll be just like me.”

That was your biggest fear. Nothing scared you more than turning into an evil, tyrannical monster like her. She drove your father away and betrayed her closest friends. But looking in the mirror, you didn’t see yourself. You saw her. You vowed that for as long as you lived, you would do everything to reverse the actions of your mother.

But being good had no place in the Isle of The Lost.

Ridicule and bullying pushed you farther and farther away from your vow until you eventually forgot. You became exactly what you feared. Cold and ruthless. Just like your mother.

It wasn’t all that bad though.

Through your wickedness you found solace with new friends. Carlos, Mal, Evie, and Jay. They became the light of your life. And you became theirs. You had never been so happy until you joined them and you never looked back. But then he caught your heart.

Harry Hook was the biggest flirt you had ever known. That was both a blessing and a curse.

He would bug you day and night, wherever you were. Curl Up and Dye? He was there and ready with his infuriatingly clever pick-up lines. Ursula’s Fish And Chips? You better believe he would be there and equipped with charming one-liners. You found it both endearing and annoying.

Today was one of those days. You were headed to Ursula’s Fish and Chips to go grab some grub for the rest of your friends, after losing a game you guys were playing. You didn’t mind though. It gave you a chance to relax and observe the beautiful chaos of the Isle.

Of course, that peace and quiet was quicky disturbed.

Harry Hook, appearing from nowhere, swung in front of you then gracefully landed, grinning as wide as the Cheshire Cat. “Hiya, princess!”

Rolling your eyes, you kept on walking, completely ignoring him. This seemed to completely throw off the cheeky pirate, and he ran to keep up with you. Grumbling when he still couldn’t get your attention, he waved a hand in your face, as if he thought you were actually mad. “Hello? Are you there, your highness?”

You quickly slapped his hand away, scowling at him. “I told you not to call me that!”

Harry’s grin instantly became even wider, and he chuckled at your angered expression. He ruffled your hair and then crossed his arms, which angered you even more, “I can do whatever I want, Princess Y/N.”

Sighing, you just kept going on your way as the pirate beside you chattered on about one of his latest conquests. He tended to keep a few girls (sometimes guys) around to play with for a little bit then eventually throw away, like a broken toy. This was one of the reasons why you didn’t agree with him sometimes. It just wasn’t right. He didn’t want to hear it though.

“Why do you care anyways?” Harry would ask, tossing a rotten apple around his hands. That question always bothered you. Why DID you do it?

Finally, you made it to Ursula’s Fish and Chips and Harry seemed to calm down a bit. Turning to face him, you flashed him one of your fake smiles, “This was a lovely conversation, but I’m afraid I’ll have to go and forget this whole stupid encounter didn’t happen-”

Before you could leave and run away, Harry’s hook caught your wrist, preventing you from escaping. “Hey, hey, what’s got you so uptight, your majesty?”

“Maybe I just don’t want to hear about your recent hookup,” you growled and took your hand away from him. “Or maybe I just wanna get some snacks and go back to my friends.”

You smirked then quickly ran far away from him while you had a chance, ignoring his calls and pleads to come back.

Love was a strange thing.

Your mother always said to never love anyone but yourself. “The moment you are vulnerable to someone, they’ll rip your heart out and leave you.”

Frankly, you thought her lessons were bullshit.

You paced around your room nervously, trying to absorb what you did a few minutes earlier. This was bad, this was bad, this was bad.

You kissed Harry. And he kissed you back.

Gripping your hair, you silently cursed at yourself. You shouldn’t have done that. You dramatically jumped on your bed and tried to remember the exact details of what happened.

Evie threw a party to celebrate her 16th birthday. “A royal bash to fit a royal princess!” You didn’t have the heart to tell her that royalty was invalid in the Isle of The Lost since she was so happy. You couldn’t take that away from her.

So far, the party was a roaring success. Someone started a game of Pin The Broom on The Witch and Seven Minutes in Hell was playing in a corner. But then someone brought in some of Hades’ special juice and it was all a blur after.

You remembered one thing though.

One minute you were bickering with Harry then the next, your hands were locked around his neck, afraid to let him go. You stared right into his ocean blue eyes, trying to search for any hesitation. There was none.

He cupped your face gently, as if he was afraid he would drop you and you would break. His eyes bore into your own, slowly getting closer and closer to you.

You sealed the kiss and it felt like heaven itself touched your lips.

He was scared. But so were you.

Trailing a finger through your lips, you could still feel the remnants of his kiss. Your heart shivered and shook with joy when you realized it.

You’re in love with him.

You smiled happily, then put a finger to your pulse. It was beating so fast, but you didn’t care. So this was what love was like. This was why love could start and end wars. Love was strong and powerful. This was the fairytales you were always told.

You remembered suddenly what your current situation was. There are no happily-ever-afters in the Isle of The Lost. None.

Remembering your mother’s words, you sobbed and hastily wiped your lips. “The moment you are vulnerable to someone, they’ll rip your heart out and leave you.”

Harry could never truly be in a relationship. He was important in Uma’s mission and he had big dreams. Dreams that don’t include you. You couldn’t take that away from him just for love. The sparkle in his eyes whenever he talked about his love of the sea and being captain… you could never.

He deserved better.

You had to end this.

The kiss was quick, but it was enough. The damage was done.

Gil stood there, confused as ever. He touched his lips and frowned at you, still not fully understanding the situation. As always. “Wha-What? I thought you liked Harry.”

“I-I do.” You thought. But instead, you shook your head. “I don’t.”

“Really?” Unbeknownst to you, Harry was there the whole time. And he looked both angry and upset at the same time, but looking into his eyes, you saw something else. Heartbreak.

You did what you did best. You ran away. But Harry stopped you. Like he always did.

“Why?” The question was so simple but you couldn’t find an answer. “Why are you so afraid of following your heart?”

Harry looked into your eyes, and in an instant you regretted everything you did. The pure look of heartbreak was enough to make you sob and you wanted to apologize for everything you did. But you couldn’t find the words. “I-I’m scared, Harry. I’m… I can’t do this.”

“No,” he held your hand tightly, refusing to let you go. “Y/N… you’re not like your mother. Don’t keep trying to become like her just because you have to keep up this image. I fell in love with the real Y/N… not the stone cold princess who plays with feelings.”

You looked him in the eyes again. You thought that maybe, just maybe, he was right. You hastily wiped at your eyes and took your hand away from him. “I have to go.”

“I said I have to go!” You cried, then ran as fast as you could, never looking back. You feared that if you did, you would come back and everything would collapse. It was too late now.

Some hearts just aren’t meant to be.

You moaned quietly as Harry’s soft hands tangled in your hair, pulling ever so slightly.

His lips moved in sync with yours as you felt him lightly bite your lip and you let out a louder groan.

“Shh Y/N, you’re gonna get us caught.” Harry chuckled pulling away for only a quick second. You took the opportunity to admire his appearance.

His dark hair was in all different directions, hat hair at its finest.

Those blue eyes that you loved so much were filled with desire as his usual smirk played on his pink lips, begging to be kissed.

“What are you looking at?” Harry smiled as his faced etches slightly in confusion.

“Beautiful.” You mumbled placing soft kisses on his sharp jawline sweetly. He leaned his head back on the brick wall you pushed him against and moaned lightly.

“You’re gonna be the death of me.” He breathed attacking your lips with yours hungrily. Harry had recently been on Uma’s duty more and more, meaning that your secret meetings were short and far between.

“Already am, Hook.” You smirked against his tan skin. “Harry! Where are you?” A voice boomed from the docks angrily.

You huffed in annoyance as you pulled away from Harry’s neck hesitantly and saw his equally upset expression.

“I’m sorry, I gotta go.” He sighed placing his pirate hat back on his head quickly. As he began to leave, you pulled him by the collar, attaching your lips for a split second and let him go.

“Here, midnight.” You stated walking the other direction of the alley, leaving him stunned.

Making your way back to Curl Up & Dye, you greeted your younger sister Dizzy as she continued to sweep the loose hair on the floor.

“Hey Dizzy-Bear, how’s my favorite creative genius?” You smiled ruffling her hair lovingly. She giggled and attached her arms around your waist tightly.

“Hi, Y/N! I missed you.” Dizzy smiled looking up at you. Being Drizella’s oldest, you protected your little sister with your life.

Even though you had already moved out, being a part of Uma’s crew, you made sure Lady Tremaine never treated her like a slave.

Dizzy was the light on the darkness of the Isle, and you trusted her with anything. “How’s Harry doing?” She asked sitting on one of the worn out salon chairs.

You hadn’t noticed her smirk as she said the statement and answered, “Great. Just saw him before I came here.”

“Wait, w-why do you ask?” You stuttered running a hand through your hair nervously.

“Oh please, Y/N. It’s obvious you two are a thing.” She chuckled patting your shoulder.

Your eyes widened as the words left your mouth.

“And how do you know this, Tremaine?” You questioned folding your arms over your chest with a fake glare.

“I saw you guys kiss last week outside the salon, we do open at midnight you know.” Dizzy answered smiling widely.

Your face paled as she said this. “So, are you okay with it?” You questioned as your voice quieted.

“Of course, Y/N. You’re my brother and I love Harry, he’s actually a sweetheart.” She said wrapping her skinny arms around your neck and hugging you.

You smiled softly and hugged the short girl, kissing her forehead sweetly. “You’re such a gem, Diz.” With a smile, she said, “Basically everyone knows already, Y/N. You should just go public.”

You debated her suggestion, maybe you would have to have a talk with Harry about this.

Later that night…

You nervously walked to the alley, where Harry was leaned up against the wall in a white tank top and usual training gear.

He held a watch on a long chain in his right hand as it moved from side to side. “12:02, you’re late.” He growled pulling you into his chest roughly.

Harry placed a soft kiss on your lips tenderly as you just stood there. “Y/N, there something wrong?” He questioned seeing your tense stature.

“I told Dizzy. Or rather she told me, she saw us last week outside the salon.” You admitted a faint blush appearing on your cheeks.

Harry’s expression turned to slight shock, but he smiled. “She’s a smart kid, I’m not surprised.” He chuckled kissing your cheek.

“I think we should make it public. It just feels really shitty, to be the secret boyfriend.” You blurted out, afraid to see his reaction.

You felt your head being lifted as Harry moved your chin so you stared into his crystal blue eyes.

He attached your lips, wrapping his hands around your neck as an attempt to pull you even closer than you already were.

Once it became even more heated, you failed to notice that there was another person in the alley.

“Ahem, boys.” You jumped apart from Harry as you nervously looked up at your Captain, Uma, standing there in all her threatening glory.

“Next time, try to keep quiet, everyone can hear you.” She smirked adjusting your pirate hat to make sure it was semi-presentable on your head.

“We have training tomorrow, so early night.” She commanded and sauntered away from the scene.

“Do you remember when you use to think you were straight?” You chuckled as the two of you watched her leave.

“Yep, used to think I was so in love with her.” Harry said intertwining your fingers with his as he began to walk with you back to the ship.

Childhood Crush (Gil X Reader)

A: I need you stop biting your lip like that
B: You what?
A: Seriously, it’s like you’re purposely trying to sabotage my attempts to forget that I’m completely in love with you.
B: Hold on, rewind a little. Did you just say you loved me?
A:Shit! Fuck! Did I just say that out loud?

A/N: I tweaked the wording of the prompt a little so that it better fits Gil’s character - but yeah, it’s stil basically the same

“You give her that back you big bully!” You yelled, storming towards a pirate, pointing an accusing finger.
You may have only been small but you could sure as hell shout, and soon you were squaring up to the boy in front of you.
“Y/N! What a pleasure to see ye” Harry exclaimed, taking a wad of paper notes from his mouth and grinning at you.
You scowled.
“Stealing from children Harry, that’s a new low even for you. Give it her back” You said plainly, looking back at Dizzy who was cowering behind you. The pirate had charged in to the “Curl up and Dye”, demanding her days wages before knocking a tables worth of hair dyes and combs onto the floor. You were less than impressed.
“I’m sorry sweetheart, no can do,” the pirate continued, spinning on his heels and whistling as he went to leave the building.
You glanced to your right, where Dizzy was sweeping up Harry’s mess glumly, staring at the floor. He wasn’t going to get away with this.
“Still running around after Uma I guess. You always were like her slave” you called after him, hoping to bruise his ego enough for him to return.
It worked. He froze in the door frame, his eyes narrowed as he met your gaze.
“A little rich coming from ye isn’t it princess? Still following your sister around blindly?”.
You rolled your eyes. It always came back to Mal. You were the youngest daughter of Maleficent, meaning you were always compared to your purple haired big sister. Usually you didn’t mind, you and Mal were pretty similar after all, but the constant comparison was growing tiring.
“Leave Mal out of this” You warned, taking another step towards the pirate and plucking the money from his hands and throwing it towards Dizzy, who caught it with both hands.
“You’ll regret that little witch” Harry snarled, grabbing the back of your fore arm.
“I wouldn’t bet on it” You spat back, making the first mate chuckle manically.

Maybe he should have bet on it. Dizzy may have got her money back but now you were being dragged through the back alleyways of the Isle’s streets, with your hands tied behind your back. Harry was stronger than you had anticipated, so it didn’t take him long to have you pinned against a wall as he fastened rope around wrists. You were on your way to Ursula’s Fish and Chip Shop you could tell, the stench of decaying seafood detectable from miles away. You glanced at the pirate who was holding you hostage, sniggering to yourself. Although you looked pretty harmless you had been taught to fight from a young age, so even though Harry may have won, he didn’t escape your scrap unharmed. There was dark purple bruise staring to form under his eye, from where you had swung a punch at him. A sense of accomplishment washed over you knowing that the pirate wouldn’t be bothering Dizzy again for a while, as Harry grunted a little in pain. Served the cocky little shit right.

The doors to the fish and chip shop swung open, the combination of  the bustling atmosphere and questionable smells making your head ache slightly. You had never really eaten there before, the fierce rivalry between your sister and Uma herself, repelling you from ever entering. You didn’t think you missed out on much. The pirate, dragged you by the arm into the furthest corner in the restaurant, pushing you down onto a bar stool. You sighed impatiently.
“Harry! What happened to your face?”
You looked around to see a the son of Gaston, staring at Harry with a mixture of confusion and excitement. Harry caught you grinning smugly to yourself and scowled back at you before turning to his friend.
“Nothing to do with ye Gil” He grumbled, still glaring at you.
You raised your eyebrows with mock innocence in return.
“Hold on a second Harry…” Gil gasped as if he’d come to a staggering revelation. He looked at you, then at Harry, then back at you.
“Did you get beaten up by tiny little Y/N? Again?”
You spluttered with laughter at the word again. You and Harry were known not to see eye to eye.
When the pirate did nothing but scowl more, Gil erupted into huge fits of belly laughter, gaining glares from the customers around him. You were reminded immediately why you liked the boy.
“Gil shut ye mouth now”
“You did!” Gil exclaimed, clearly proud with himself “You got beaten up by Y/N! Wait till Uma hears! Uma come listen to this!”
He was still laughing until Harry stood up beside him, tapping him on the end of his nose with his hook. Gil gulped and quickly shut up.
“What the hell is going on out here?”
Uma appeared from out of the kitchen, an unamused expression painted on her face.
‘Uma!’ Gil shouted, excited “You missed it. Harry just got beaten up by-”
“Me” You said, speaking up for the first time, diverting everybody’s gaze towards you.
Uma lips flickered upwards in a smirk for a split second before returning to a poker face.
“Well well well well” she said making her way towards you, Harry following grinning behind her “Would you look what the cat dragged in?”
“Actually I was dragged in here by that mindless pig that you call a servant”
It was enough to agitate the first mate, causing him to lunge for you. Uma put her hand on his shoulder and he relented, simply waving his hook at you menacingly.
“Harry chill,” the daughter of Ursula sighed.
“I don’t see why you just won’t let me hook her,” Harry replied, reaching forwards and sweeping the hair out of your eyes with his hook.
When he pressed his face continually closer to yours, you decided enough was enough, taking it upon yourself to spit directly in his face. What? You valued your personal space.

Harry recoiled, but not before taking a swing at you with his hook, cutting your cheek which now ran with blood.
“You little bi-” the pirate snarled, before being pushed out of he way by Gil.
“Hey guys what are we looking a-” Gil took one look at your face and jumped back a little “God damn it guys, you hurt her!”
You were doing all you could not to cry, but the searing pain along your cheek bone was making it increasingly more difficult not to. You stopped yourself before a tear could slip, biting your lip instead. You were the daughter of Maleficent, you were not going to burst into tears about a little cut.
“Harry! To the back with me! Now!” Growled Uma, grabbing the pirate by the arm and dragging him away.
He had the audacity to blow a kiss to you as he sauntered away.
“Go choke on a catfish!” You yelled at him as he left your sight, attempting to wipe away a droplet of blood with the back of your sleeve, but failing. It was harder than it looked when your hands were tied behind your back.
“I’ll go get the first aid kit” said a chirpy voice from behind you “Wait there”
You shot around to see Gil wandering off into the back of the shop, leaving you sat on your stool alone. You could have run out of those doors quite easily, rallied up your friends and dragged them back down there to get revenge. But you didn’t. You sat and waited for Gil to return.

“Gil, I really appreciate this, but I’m not so sure I need three gauzes stuck to my face” you laughed.
You grinned as the boy wrapped the majority of your head, including your eyes and ears, in a thick white bandage on top of the seven plasters he had stuck over you wound. All of this for a cut that was two centimetres wide at the most.
“You think you might need four?” Gil asked confused.
“I think we might need to lose the bandage”
“Okay” he replied simply, unravelling it from your head. Once you could finally see and hear again you couldn’t help but smile at the boy who was grinning back at you.
“Thanks I guess-” You began but were interrupted.
“It’s fine. It’s not like I didn’t used to do it when we were little”. The comment caught you off guard. You weren’t expecting it. You were a clumsily kid, always the child to fall over and cut their knee. Gil was a kind kid, always the child to give you a plaster and his apple from his lunch box.
“Yeah, I’d forgotten about that”
There was a long, but not uncomfortable, silence.
“You’re funny you know” Gil started.
“Am I?” You asked slightly confused, only to be met with vigorous nodding from Gaston’s youngest son.
“Yeah! It’s funny when you embarrass Harry. He’ll be really mad you know, he hates when it when people do that to him. But it’s okay I’ll make sure he doesn’t hurt you again”
“Thank you Gil but there’s really no need” you said quickly,  trying to get him to drop the topic as you saw Harry and Uma enter the main restaurant again. Something told you Harry would not be thrilled with Gil talking about him or helping the girl that was supposed to be their hostage. The poor boy was blissfully unaware and continued to ramble.
“It’s usually me who makes Harry mad. He doesn’t like you I think but that’s okay, I like you and he doesn’t like anybody except for Uma anyway” He was still talking as the two approached. You were trying desperately to warn him but he wouldn’t let you get a word in edge ways.
“Actually, I don’t think Uma likes you either,” Gil frowned before continuing “But that’s not your fault. She’s still mad about that time your sister put shrimp in her and everyb-”
Gil whipped his head around to Uma, shouting in his ear and giving him the dirtiest look.
“Come on mate. Outside. Now. You know where to go”.
Harry hoisted Gil upwards and walked behind him as he trudged out of Ursula’s Fish and Chip Shop, plonking himself down on the step by the entrance.
Something told you this wasn’t the first time this had happened. He tried to walk back inside but Harry pushed him back out, his hook held to his chest. That time he stayed put. Uma was still glaring at you.
“You’re going to stay here until Mal comes for you. Got it?”
It wasn’t so much of a question so much as it was an order.
“Are you really going to use me as bait so you can continue to argue with my sister? Doesn’t that sound a little petty?”
“Guess what, I just so happen to be a petty person” Uma snapped before, walking to lecture Gil outside.

The next time somebody spoke to you again it was Gil. As soon as Uma and Harry let him back in he inched his way towards you looking sheepish but deep in thought. He stopped in front of you and took a deep breath.
“Uma says to tell you that I’m not allowed to talk to you even though you’re really pretty and you make me laugh because you stand up to Harry and it’s funny when you make him look stupid” He grinned at himself, clearly proud that he had delivered the message he was told to. Something told you that the message had changed a little from when Uma had first told him, but you didn’t say anything.
You felt your cheeks slowly start to flush red as you blushed uncontrollably. He thought you were pretty. You cursed yourself in your mind. There was no way you were going to lose your cool simply because Gil complimented you. But you couldn’t stop yourself from smiling.
“I remember one time when we were seven…”
“Harry said that you couldn’t play with me because you were a girl so you dumped your whole carton of milk over his head and then stomped on his toe” Gil laughed.
“Yeah! You remember that?” You started to chew on your lip a little.
You had always been close with Gil as children, practically inseparable, but something happened when he met Uma and you started to hang out with your sisters friends. The two of you drifted apart.
“Of course I remember! We used to spend all our time together but you didn’t like Harry and Harry told me it was pointless me having a crush on you…” As soon as he said the words he bolted upright “Forget I said that last bit”
You chewed down on your lip further, practically drawing blood. Because it was all flooding back, your first childhood crush at the age of five years old was stood beaming a smile at you.
“It’s been forgotten”
There was an awkward silence between the two of you, neither knowing what to say. You were still biting your lip, the metallic taste lingering in your mouth confirming that it was, in fact,  bleeding.
“I need you stop biting your lip like that” Gil said eventually.
“You what?” You looked at the boy as if he was going crazy, but he refused to drag his eyes away from your lips. How long had he been staring at them.
“Seriously. If Uma and Harry knows I’ve been thinking about kissing you they’ll kill me. Plus, I’ve been trying to forget that I’m in love with you Y/N and you’re not helping”
You were completely and utterly stunned. There was a lot of new information dropped into that sentence. New information that changed a lot of things. A lot.
“Hold on, rewind a little. Did you just say you loved me?”
Gil’s eyes widened with alarm
“Oh no! Did I just say that out loud?” He jumped up from where he was sat beside me and began to pace up and down. “I just made things weird didn’t I, I messed things up again”
“Gil relax,” you said softly “I’ve missed you”
You were telling the truth. Although you were friends with the core-four like your sister you had missed Gil more than you wanted to admit. He may have been goofy and he may have a knack for saying the wrong things at the wrong time, but he had good intentions and you loved him for it. That and the fact that he wasn’t too bad on the eyes.
“You.. Missed me?” Questioned Gil looking slightly dazed.
“Yes you, you buffoon”
Gil broke out into the widest grin and let out a giddy giggle. You practically melted on your barstool.
“I’ve missed you too Y/N! Wait till I tell Um- Maybe that’s not the best idea”
“No, it’s probably not” you chuckled.
“Does this mean we can be friends again?”
Your heart sunk a little. You had always wanted to be more than friends with Gil. Always. Even at five years old. Former Y/N knew what she wanted. She got stuff done.
“Who am I kidding Y/N. I Kind of think I love you”
Gil took another step towards you and cut the ties on your hands, wrapping you in a hug. You hugged him back, breathing into the crook of his neck as he spun you around.
“I kind of think I love you too”.
He put you back down, setting you on top of a table.
“I know we just decided that we are going to be friends…” you raised your eyebrow at the the word but he continued anyway “…again but you should probably get out of here before Uma and Harry come back. I’ll meet you at the docks tonight”
You gave him a quick nod.
“They’ll kill you if they know you let me go”
“Then they’ll just not have to know will they” He grinned at you but you rolled your eyes. Gil was the worst person to keep a secret, he’d probably tell them himself by accident.
“Okay Gil,” you whispered “I’ll see you around”.
You leaned forwards and kissed his cheek causing his whole face to burn bright red.
“I’ll… Um… I.. guess… that um…. I’ll see you around… Um too”
And with that you walked out of the Fish and Chip shop, fully prepared to start a brand new chapter with the son of Gaston. You sent an imaginary thank you to Harry Hook. If he hadn’t have been such an asshole, you would have never re-discovered your childhood crush.

Sneak Preview!

So my short one-shot for @elsewhereuniversity has become a 7,000 words and counting story. Since I’m still working on it I figured I’d give ya guys a sneak peak at it!

Your new roommate greets you with a smile, clothes like a bunch of sharpies threw up on them, and an extended hand.

“Hi, I’m Reagan!”

You take the hand, note the faint scars crisscrossing like a maze across the skin.

“Um, hi.”

They are so short they have to tip toe to look over your shoulder. “Do you need any help with your stuff?” You shake your head and Reagan nods, still smiling, before leaving the door open and going back to their side. “Kay, just let me know if you do.”

They are wearing the shoes that light up when you walk and you had no idea those came in adult sizes. Or maybe their feet are small? You pick up your first bag and enter the dorm, prepared for your first year at university.

You are not prepared, however, for the cat that sits on your roommate’s bed.

“Uh… we’re allowed pets here?”

Reagan looks up from their laptop, looking confused. “Pets?”

You put your bag down on your side of the room and point to the black long haired cat curled up on their tie dye sheets. Reagan follows your finger and blinks at the cat.

“That’s not a pet. That’s Skooma.”

Pause. “Like in Skyrim?”

Reagan gives you another grin. “Naw, I played Morrowind.” Nervous laughter. “I’m old.”

“I’m still pretty sure we’re not allowed cats.”

Their face goes blank and they stare.  If it weren’t for the blinking you would think they’d died or something.

“It’s… Skooma.”

Clearly, you aren’t getting anywhere about this. You’d just wait for an RA to find out or a teacher or something. It would be sad but you didn’t want to get into trouble. You put your first bag down and go to grab your other two. The meeting is at noon so you have some time to unpack and get things situated. You glance over at your roommate’s side, wondering how they’ve set their stuff up. Reagan is sitting against the wall, laptop on their lap and typing with a speed that sort of intimidates you. They haven’t even removed their shoes. Actually… now that you’re looking at their side it’s kinda… bare. Their sheets are bright tie dye that hurts to look at, there’s a rolling Hello Kitty suitcase beside the bed, and their desk is empty except for a brown, round bed, supposedly for the cat still curled up on the sheets. Other than those things the entire side of their room has no trinkets, posters, not even a litter box.

You wonder if it would be rude to put up your own posters. You eye your small framed photo’s and the Furby you’d brought. No, no, you couldn’t let something like this intimidate you. It was stupid. Who cared what your roommate did. You pull out your posters and sticky tack and try to artfully arrange them on the walls. The photos and Furby are put on your desk along with your brand new Graduation laptop.

“You might want to take the batteries out.”

You jump, in the middle of pulling out clothes and hanging them in the shared closet. “Uh… what?”

Reagan has a pair of thick, expensive looking headphones around their neck, squooshing their face. “That Furby. You should take out the batteries. Might end up hearing things you don’t want to.”

You can only stare at such a weird request.

Reagan smiles. “Just a suggestion.” They put the headphones back on and continue working on their laptop. Somehow, the cat has migrated to their lap and the computer is almost falling off their knees but they don’t seem bothered.

You wait but when they don’t do anything else you put away the last of your clothes. Reagan’s side of the closet isn’t as bare as their side of the room, at least. Just… very bright. You think some of the sneakers are heely’s for goodness sake. Who even wears those anymore? You check the time. It’s almost noon and you just know you’ll get lost on your way to the freshman meeting. You put on a new t-shirt and grab a small jacket just in case. You’re out the door before pausing. Wait… You poke your head back in.

“Uh…” Can they even hear you with those headphones on? Yet Reagan pulls them off and looks up expectantly. “Um, are you coming?”

The smiling is starting to creep you out. “To what? The freshman meeting? God no, I’m definitely not a freshman!”

“Pffft, the look… no, no, my old roommate, uh, left and I guess they had to stick someone in here.” They reach down and scratch the cat’s ears. “If you don’t like bein’ my roommate just give it a bit and I’m sure some rooms will open up.”

“Um… kay. Well, I guess I’ll see you later?”

Reagan waves with their unoccupied hand then yelps as their laptop takes a tip. You leave to muttered cursing and something that sounds like hissing air.

You only get lost once on your way to the meeting and so you’re quite early. A cheerful older student comes up and gives you a nametag. She tells you to write your name on it, but not your true name. Whatever that means. You’re staring at the nametag in confusion (do you put your full name? What the heck is a true name?) When another student comes up to you. He’s got a bit of a beard and his curly hair barely fits under his University cap.

“Havin’ some issues?”

“Uh, yeah. I was told to put my name on it but… not my true name?”

He wrinkles his nose and sighs. “Best to go with a nickname. Make ‘em happy, eh?”

It’s still weird but you put a nickname anyways and peel off the back to stick it to your t-shirt.

“Well, anyways, my name’s Harris.” You shake his hand, calloused and rough.

‘Uh, well, you already know mine.” You point to your tag.

“Now I do. What’s your room number? I’m pretty sure I can find your RA for you, I know ‘em all.”

You have to pull the crumpled piece of paper from your pocket and peer at your writing. “Um… I’m in room fourty-four floor four.”

When you look back up from putting the paper away you freeze. Because he’s… he’s staring at you with something like fear or pity.

“So, uh, fourty-four floor four, huh. Um… you met your roommate yet?”

He nods shakily. “Good. That’s… good.”

“Is… is something wrong? They’re not some sort of murderer or something are they?”

“What? No, no.” He wipes his hands on his jeans. “Just… be careful, kay?”

“Is this about the ca-”

His hands clap around your mouth and holy shit you thought people only did that in movies.

“Nope. Nothing to do with them. Or it. Or anything.” You duck away from his gross, sweaty hands and give him a dubious stare. “Well, uh, the RA for floor four is that girl in the blue jacket.” He takes off, giving you looks over his shoulder.

Your RA gives you an absent nod and a smile before returning to her phone and you sit in a provided chair. You thumb on your own phone, blessed anti-social device. Noon passes and when the stragglers thin, the RA claps to get attention and smiles at everyone. You half listen to the speech. Some of it seems odd (carrying iron? Salt? The bowls by the doors had to be filled with milk?) but most was the usual stuff you had already read in the papers they hand out. Yes, you read them.

But, then…

“Oh, and who is staying in room fourty-four?”

You blink. What. Cautiously, you raise your hand and shrink when everyone looks at you.

The RA, you already forgot her name, smiles at you. “Excellent, I have to speak to you after the tour, okay?”

You nod, what else could you do? As the RA continues on, a girl beside you, glasses taking up half her face and hair pulled into a ponytail pokes you in the shoulder.

“What’s so special about room fourty-four?” She whispers through a lisp.

You shrug.

The boy on the other side of her leans over, almost falling into the girls’ lap and she pushes at his shoulder. “Do you have a single room?”

You shake your head. “No, I have a roommate.”

Both of them stare at you. The girl pulls at her skirt. “Who is it?”

“Um, they’re not a freshman. So… they’re not here.”

The boy smacks his hand on the back of the girls chair. “What? No way!”

The RA clears her throat, staring at them pointedly. The two shrink back, still giving you looks. You hope you can avoid them when the tour starts. As usual, it is not to be, and the two corner you as the group is herded together.

“So,” The girl starts. Her nametag says Bea in looping, over exaggerated cursive. “You have a roommate in a freshman dorm building who’s not a freshman?”

“Uh, yeah, that’s what I said.”

They stare at you. You stare back.

The boy, his nametag says Gary in blocky, thick pen, throws up his hands. “Well?! You can’t just say that and then not explain anything!”

You open your mouth, to say <i>i can’t tell if they’re female or male and everytime i think of asking i can’t they have a cat that doesn’t look like a cat and they smile too much</i> but the words catch in your throat and you don’t say anything.

Bea scowls at you, crossing her arms over her chest. “Whatever. C’mon, Gary, we’ll probably see this mystery roommate eventually.” she stalks off in her high heels, skirt swishing about her knees. Gary gives you a glare before following.

You wonder if you’ve lost some potential friends.

“Well, they were rude.”

You yelp and whirl around, your own hair smacking into your face.

Reagan smiles at you, wearing an eye searing orange hoodie and bright pink sweatpants. They are pulling their Hello Kitty suitcase behind them and you have no idea how you didn’t hear them approach.

“I was just heading out and saw you about to start your tour so I decided to say hi.” They tsk and shake their head. “But instead I hear some truly rude people. Those two won’t make any friends like that. Are you okay, though?”

You work your jaw and give them a watery smile. “Uh, yeah, I’m fine.” For some reason the question makes the two’s snubbing hurt even worse.

Reagan looks into the distance, seeming lost in thought. It goes on long enough you shuffle uncertainly. Just as you’re about to speak they meet your eyes and give you a grin. “Don’t worry about people like them. Oh! Here, you should wear this.” They reach into their hoodie pocket and pull out a bead bracelet. It’s made of those cheap plastic beads you get in kid jewellry making kits. All you can tell is that the colours are bright and many, pinning down the pattern or naming any makes your head hurt.

You accept it.

For some reason you slip it onto your wrist. It’s made of that stretchy string you get in the kits and easily fits. Against your wrist you can see some of the beads are the white letter ones and you flip them over.

Your name.

“Well, I’ll let you get back to your tour. See ya!” Reagan turns, the suitcase making no noise as it runs over the gravel. Their hood is bulging outwards and you can see a black, fluffy tail draped over the edge. Two bright yellow eyes stare at you.

You are not sure when you return to the group. The tour guide’s don’t mention it, in fact they avoid looking at you altogether. You listen to the speeches about the cafeteria and how to use meal points. You follow as they show everyone the library, the on site gym, hand out maps for campus. You rub the bracelet, feeling the square beads in between the round ones.

You… are pretty sure you never told anyone your full name.

Nothing you own has your full name on it.

Only your student number was on your assigned room sheet.

After the tour everyone is herded into the cafeteria for lunch (provided by the school specifically for the freshman). You find your floors RA and tap her on the shoulder. She turns, giving you a customer service generic smile.

“Uh, you wanted to see me after the tour?”

The other older students she was talking to peer at you curiously. Harris is the only one actively avoiding looking at you.

“Oh! Excellent, just give me a sec, you guys.” You follow when she walks into an unoccupied corner. “Okay, your roommate was there when you went to your room, right?”

“Uh… yeah.”

“Thought so. So the… uh, previous roommate left some stuff and I figured you could use it.”

“What? Like… clothes? Shouldn’t that stuff be given to, um, someone else?”

She laughs and reaches into her pocket. “Not that kind of stuff.” She pulls out a bag of dried salmon cat treats, a small toy mouse, and a pair of glasses with one of the lenses cracked. You take it because she won’t stop holding the stuff out to you expectantly.

You stare at it. “Um, doesn’t this cat stuff belong to my roommate?”

She shakes her head. “You’ll need it. But don’t wear those,” she points to the glasses. “All the time. They’re brushed with iron. Don’t want to see stuff you shouldn’t!” She laughs, too bright, too loud. “Well, good luck!” And she leaves you standing there with an armful of weird cat things and a pair of useless glasses. You don’t even wear glasses. Actually… you touch the lenses. They’re plastic.

It had been six months since you had thought of the Isle. Six blissful months. Auradon was everything you had ever imagined, ever wanted, and more. You had never really fit in anywhere on the Isle. Sure, you had your sister, Mal, and even a couple friends. But they could all see how miserable you were. So the second the opportunity arose you agreed without considering anything else. But perhaps you should’ve.

It may have been months since you had thought of your old home but it had only been a day or two since you had last thought of him. You couldn’t even bring yourself to say his name anymore. It hurt too much. In the dark, dreary life you had back on the Isle of the Lost you had managed to find a small light. Someone who had always been there for you no matter what. Someone by the name of Harry Hook.

No one, your friends particularly, ever really understood what you saw in him. He was insane, quite literally. He was the first mate of your sisters so-called enemy. He was a loose cannon. And yet he was yours. He was different with you, a fact no one wanted to believe. You even dared to say that he loved you. But still, he was toxic. He was flirty and possessive and unpredictable. And yet you needed him. He was like a drug and you were addicted. You didn’t want to give him up. But you had. And you had yet to forgive yourself. Part of you doubted you ever would.

He had been nagging you all week about how he wanted you to be his girlfriend, he kept saying how he liked you a lot, that you wouldn’t regret it and frankly you were getting annoyed.

The last time you went out with a guy he had broken your heart. He had said all the things that Harry was currently saying so you found it hard to believe that he could actually be different.

“Harry!” You exclaimed and he quieted down.

Two updates in ONE DAY, good god it must be christmas! Sorry I got super super into writing this so it’s kind of long. I expect there will be at least two more parts left for it, I hope y’all like it !

PART 1 //  // 4

Fandom: Disney’s Descendants

Pairing: Harry Hook x Reader

Rating: T

Word Count: 3.4K

Disclaimer: I don’t own Disney’s Descendants, sadly. Disney does :(

It took you a few minutes to realize that Gil said that Ben was on the island and that they were going to kidnap him.

And that’s when you realized that Mal (and indirectly, you too) had really fucked up.  Obviously it was unintentional and Mal probably was hoping Ben wouldn’t have come back for her but he was obviously too stubborn to just let her go so easily.

You put your bag down and unzipped it, looking for something important. Something to give you courage.

You grabbed a tattered and worn red beanie out of your bag and stared at it for a few seconds before forcefully shoving it onto your head. It was your father’s but you decided to ‘borrow’ it from him when you left to go to Auradon Prep, partly out of nostalgia and partly because you got homesick really easily.

Shutting the door softly behind you, you stole into the foggy night as you tried to figure out where Mal was.

You felt guilty too though. You knew it wasn’t your fault that Ben was in danger but it sure felt like it was. You weren’t sure if Mal would’ve gone through with leaving Auradon if you hadn’t shown up. You started beating yourself up for it, beginning to zone The Isle out.

That was until someone pushed you into an alleyway, backing you up against a wall. He was tall, dark, and not at all handsome.

And you didn’t know him.

“What’s a pretty young thing like you doing ‘round these parts?” the unknown assailant asked you, grinning at you with a shark-like expression.

You pulled your beanie down on your head more, glaring at him. “Who wants to know?” you asked confidently. On the outside you wouldn’t show that on the inside you were a mess. You remembered your father warning you about the nasty men that lived on The Isle, men who would definitely be capable of doing unimaginable things.

He let out a throaty laugh, pressing a hand to the wall right next to you, leaning towards you. “You’re a feisty one, aren’t you?” his breath was hot on your face and you blinked up at him, glaring.

“Yeah, so was your mom last night when we fornicated!” you snapped, lifting your knee up harshly, kneeing him in his pelvic-region.

He howled for a good minute, grabbing at his pants. That gave you just enough time to get away from him, and you bolted towards the lightest part of the alley.

You could hear him cursing and yelling behind you and you were about ninety-eight percent sure he was following you. You ducked through a bunch of gross-looking curtains or sheets (you couldn’t decipher between the two, it might’ve even been a rug or two) and right into someone’s masculine chest.

“….Y/N?” Jay asked, his hands resting on your shoulders as you regained your balance. You looked up at him, your off expression mirroring his.

“….Jay?” you mimicked, “What in the hell are you doing here?”

Jay frowned, helping you steady yourself. You reached down to dust yourself off.
“Mal ran away to The Isle and Ben decided that he needed to 'rescue’ her.” you glanced around him and noticed Evie and Carlos waiting at the end of a flight of stairs, glancing around worriedly.

“Uh, hey guys.” you greeted the two, waving a hand at them sheepishly.

“Y/N?” Evie called, pushing herself off of a wall. “Why are you here? How did you get here?” she rushed, pulling you into a hug. She was probably the most compassionate of the four VK’s. You tentatively hugged her back.

“It’s a very long story.” you replied quietly, hoping she’d drop the subject. You pulled away. “Hey, Carlos. Ask Jane to Cotillion yet?”

“Not yet.” Carlos replied dejectedly. You frowned.

“I’m sure you’ll get the nerve back.” you told him, your lips curving into a reassuring smile.

The four of you spoke animatedly for a few minutes, you explained half of why you were on The Isle-conveniently leaving out your past. It wasn’t like you didn’t trust them, but you were scared that the rest of Auradon would look down on you if they found out.

Eventually though you realized exactly why you were there talking to the other three VK’s. “Ben!” you exclaimed, looking around. “Where is he?” you asked, eyes scanning the vicinity.

The other’s began to look for Ben too, who had suddenly disappeared. “Ben!” Evie called.

“Where could he have gone?” Carlos asked.

“There he is-”

“Ben! Ben, don’t scare us like that-” Evie began scolding the dark figure coming towards them that they assumed was Ben.

“Don’t scare you?” a tenor-ish Scottish accent sang, a small chuckle leaving his lips as he lifted his head to look at the four of you. His eyes landed on yours and you felt yourself tense up.

“Harry-” you began cautiously. He ignored you and turned his attention to Evie, smirking.

“But that’s my specialty.”

“What did you do with Ben?” Jay demanded, his hands balled into fists at his side.

Harry blinked before nodding enthusiastically. “Oh! Eh, we nicked him. Mhm. Yeah.” he pointed over towards the street where he had trudged over from. “And if you want to see him again …” he paused, looking up into the air, thinking.

Everything about him seemed off, and not at all like the boy you knew. You could tell that he was just putting up a front, but you just weren’t sure why.

“And if you want to see him again, have Mal come to the chip shop tonight.” he popped every single syllable, a wicked grin on his face. He looked like he was enjoying scaring the living daylights out of the four of you.

And you were rightfully terrified. But not of Harry. You were terrified for Ben. You weren’t completely sure what he was capable of.

Harry’s face fell. “Alone.” he pointed out seriously. “Uma wants…” he trailed off softly, looking for his words. “A little visit.” he said before clapping his hand and his hook together gleefully.

You watched Harry, leaning up against a wall as he continued to make fun of Jay and Carlos- beating a dead horse. He had said what he needed to say, he needn’t say more. He turned on his heels to leave, strutting a few steps before he swung back around.

“Oh, uh, and bring 'er too, would ye?” he asked lightly, pointing his hook at you with a beaming grin that unnerved you greatly. It wasn’t a suggestion, it was a demand.

After Harry’s little outburst Evie left to go reason with Mal, and you were stuck standing there awkwardly with Jay and Carlos.

“So….” Jay trailed off, not really knowing what to say. “Why did Harry want you to show up tonight?” he asked. You sighed, knowing it was bound to come up eventually.

“It’s uh, it’s a long story.” you told the both of them, hopping up onto a railing. You rested your hands against the bars, tightly holding onto them. “So uh, funny story guys- but i’m really a VK!” you confessed, a ta-da expression on your face.

“Wait, what?”

You let out a small nervous laugh. “Yeah, haha, that’s so funny, right? They brought my dad and I to Auradon when I was like, uh, ten.” you continued on. “I didn’t really want anyone to find out, I kind of liked being a 'princess’.” you lifted your right hand up and scratched the back of your head. “Guess the cats out of the bag, eh?” you tried.

Jay blinked. “Still doesn’t explain why Harry seemed obsessed with you.”

“He is not obsessed.” you snapped. “He and I used to be close when we were younger. But to be honest with you, when he showed up at Curl Up and Dye a little while ago I didn’t even notice it was him…I wasn’t sure he noticed it was me either. It’s been quite a few years.” you mumbled the last part.

“How could you be close to…that?” Carlos asked with disgust.

“He was different back then.” you defended the Harry you could remember, the one you remembered. “I don’t think he was that crazy back then.” you bit your bottom lip.

Evie called the rest of you upstairs a little while later so they five of you could go over an attack plan.

You still weren’t sure about this. You would’ve felt ten times safer if Jay had been allowed to come with you and Mal, but Mal refused to let him go. She was afraid something would go wrong and that Ben would be lost to Auradon forever.

You waited outside of Ursula’s Fish 'N Chips, pacing back and forth as you watched Mal go into the eatery.

“You’ll take it how I make it.” you mumbled to yourself, glancing around at the dock and the beach below it. You leaned over the railings and looked at the jagged rocks below. You weren’t the best swimmer so honestly you really hoped it didn’t get out of hand tonight. You were hoping that Mal could reach some sort of agreement with Uma, who you still haven’t had the displeasure of meeting.

It was so weird, VK kid fighting VK kid. You thought that maybe they all would’ve banded together to make The Isle more bearable, because that seemed like a better option than fighting each other.

But that’s none of your business.

“Well lookie what we have here.” you heard his voice before you saw him and you tensed up, feeling his hot breath on your neck. “You really hurt me back there, doll.” he whispered into your ear, his hands at your wait.

“Uh yes, hello you are tooooooo close to me, I would suggest you back up.” you tried, desperately trying to wiggle your way away from the scumbag you kneed in the alleyway.

“And what’re you, a desperate little princess, going to do about it?” he asked, his tongue grazing your ear.

And you know, that’s when you lost it.

You took etiquette classes until you were thirteen, and in every book it said that ladies and princesses shouldn’t start fights.

And unfortunately for the asshole pursuing you, you weren’t a real princess so kicking his ass was completely okay.

You elbowed him in this shoulder, pushing him up against the railing, cursing him as you tore into him without mercy.

And that’s how Harry found you, bloody and still hitting the already unconscious man and cursing him out loudly.

“Ye know, love, I think you’ve already done a number on him, don’t ye think?” Harry asked you, pulling you out of your rage.

You slowly stopped punching the unconscious man. “He uh, he tried to uh…” you were at a loss for words as you stared down at your bloodied hands. You turned to Harry. “What do you care?” you asked, allowing yourself to stand up. You glanced down at the assailant and you curb-stomped him one more time fro good measure. “He’s not dead yet.” you mumbled.

“Not yet.” Harry agreed. “Wan me ta throw 'em off the dock?” he asked you, a small smirk playing on his lips.

You pursed your lips as you weighed your options. If you let him live, he’d probably go out and do the same thing to another helpless girl. But the goodness inside of you was telling you to let him live, maybe he’d repent.

You tapped your chin. “You know, i’m really having a hard time dealing with my light side and my dark side.” you admitted. “Flip a coin?” you asked, pulling a quarter out of your pocket.

“Tails he goes over, heads we let the bugger live.”

You flipped the coin in the air, catching it with your dominant left hand.

“Ye know, I didn’t think ye’d come back, lass.” Harry admitted to you. You ignored him as you flipped the coin onto your hand.

“Tails.” you stated, glancing over lazily at Harry.

“Aye, I was hopin’ ye’d go with that.” you turned away from Harry because you didn’t want to see him do anything that would taint his image in your eyes.

It was stupid and dumb, but you wanted to keep Harry exactly as he was seven years ago. You heard something hit the jagged rocks below the dock with a sickening crunch and you flinched. You had been doing a lot of that since you’d come back to The Isle. “Ye can turn around now.” Harry said.

You turned around and Harry was a whole lot closer to you now than he was before, when he was keeping his distance. “Why’d ye come back?” he asked seriously, his icy eyes boring into your dark ones.

You backed up slightly, putting some more distance between the two of you. Now that you were coming down from your high. Your legs were becoming jelly again and your heart rate seemed to increase tenfold as you stared back at him.
“Nostalgia.” you uttered, your eyes not leaving his. Harry reached forward with his unhooked hand and he pushed some of your long bangs out of your face so he could see your eyes.

“I’ve missed those eyes, lass.” he told you, and you felt a slight blush flood into your cheeks.

“They’re brown, they’re just kind of normal…yanno I think your friend Gil has the same colored ones, you could always look at his-” you began to ramble, the distance Harry was retracting between the two of you was enough to suck the air out of your lungs.

“Ye know I knew it was ye before I even got a chance to hear yer voice.” Harry continued on like you never spoke a word. “Ye’ve got that scar from Madame Tremaine’s mangy cat.” he pointed out, glancing down at your throat.

The scar you had from Lucifer had always been such an insecurity for you, and as soon as you realized that makeup was a thing, you consistently tried to hide it as well as you could.

You swallowed. “It would’ve been totally impossible to know it was me just by my voice though I mean, it’s changed a lot in seven years. I’ve changed a lot in seven years I think. Boy howdy, you’ve also changed a lot in seven years…You’re so….so….”

“Handsome?” Harry offered.

“No, tall.”

You placed your hand on Harry’s wrist as he trailed the back of his hand down your cheek. “I missed you.” you confessed to him, you eyes finally noticing how bloody your hands really were. You wondered if most of it was yours or if most of it was the now dead man. “Wow that’s a lot of blood.” you mumbled, your eyes fixated on your knuckles.

“Ye really did a number on 'em.” Harry agreed, leaning down to press a kiss to your bloody hand- which you thought was gross.

“Harry that’s super gross.” you pointed out.

“That’s only a little blood compared to what i’ve seen, Y/N.” he used your full name, and it was melodic coming from him. It felt safe.

“That’s super morbid.” you commented, and Harry chuckled.

“Are ye here to stay?” he asked you suddenly, his attention back to your face.

“I..I don’t know. It’s not what I remembered it as and I don’t know if I belong here anymore.” you let go of Harry’s wrist, deciding to keep your hands to yourself.

“Of course ye belong here, lovebug.” Harry cooed quietly, his body shielding yours from the patrons walking in and out of Ursula’s Fish 'N Chips. “Ye’ve always belonged here,” he began to prepare a 'I want you to stay with me speech’. “Ye can stay here with me and Uma, there’s plenty of room-” you cut Harry off.

“I was ten when I left, Harry.” you reminded him politely, placing both of your hands on his toned chest. You were trembling lightly. Why did he have this effect on you? He was your former best friend, the person’d you go to the ends of the Earth with. What was this godawful feeling? “I’m not the same girl you knew when I was on The Isle, I don’t even look like me anymore.” you lightly tried to push him away, but his arms just circled around your waist, pulling you closer to him.

“Eh, there’s Hook’s newest catch. How long do you think she’ll last?” someone said just loud enough for you to hear as two people passed by the two of you.

“I’d say about a week, she looks fragile.” the second person laughed, “I should start taking bets.”

You frowned. “We’re different, Harry. I thought I could come back to The Isle and everything would be the same and you’d be the same- but it isn’t- it’s dirty here and it smells and it’s so dark and-” you trailed off, unable to find the proper words to say. You finally looked up into his eyes. “I can’t stay here.” you finally realized. “I love Auradon too much. Auradon is home.” you finalized.

Harry looked crestfallen and you swore your heart was breaking into a million pieces. “But, I just got ye back, Y/N.” Harry mumbled, burying his face in the crook of your neck. You ran your hands through his dark hair, sighing softly.

“I’m sorry.” you mumbled, hoping he’d hear it.

Harry pulled away from the hug, his eyes burning with something all together different than anything you’d ever seen on Auradon. He leaned down towards you, your lips almost touching completely.

That was when Mal conveniently decided to exit the restaurant in a huff, anger rolling off of her in waves. You pushed Harry away, your heart racing at your almost kiss. “Mal?” you called, breaking away from Harry’s grasp as you ran off to go figure out what had happened.

You didn’t see Harry angrily punch the wooden dock, an unreadable expression flashing across his features.

You didn’t know what to do with yourself when Mal explained to the group that Uma wanted to trade Ben for Fairy Godmother’s wand. It was so ridiculous!

You paced back and forth, so much on your mind. Harry and you had almost kissed. And oddly, you were upset that it didn’t happen. You wanted to kiss Harry Hook. A person you entirely shouldn’t want to do that with.

Maybe it was just the heat of the moment and you were just getting ahead of yourself. You couldn’t have feelings for him. It was just impossible.

But oddly, you felt like you were finally becoming whole again and that scared you.

“So we’ll just use Carlos’ 3D printer-” you kept zoning out on the other four as you thought about your situation. Yes, you were worried for Ben, but you just couldn’t stop over-analyzing it.

What if you did decide to stay on The Isle? How different would your life be.
There’d be no Auradon Prep. There’d be no Cotillion. No fancy dresses. No love and adoration from people who truly liked you. No band practice on Thursdays. No tourney.

But….Harry was on The Isle, and so was your childhood.

“Are you even listening to us, Y/N?” Evie asked, exasperated.

You hummed. “Yeah, sorry, I am.”

“She and Harry Hook almost kissed each other.” Mal stated, her arms crossed over her chest.

“I think I might’ve just thrown up in my mouth a little bit.” Carlos said as he shot you a horrified look.

You shrugged sheepishly. “It was a spur of the moment thing, it won’t happen again.”

“Good, because we’re probably going to end up in a scrimmage and we don’t need your feelings complicating things.”

You blinked, confused. “What? Why?” you asked, obviously you hadn’t been listening very well.

Jay sighed. “We’re going to give Uma and her group of idiots a fake wand and then we’re going to get out as fast as we can before she realizes that it’s  fake.” he summarized the plot for you. You bit your lip, it didn’t seem too foolproof. Was there a contingency plan?

You nodded. “Sounds good.” you agreed.

But you were so so worried.

First Mate’s Queen (Harry Hook x Reader)

Requested by anon
Request:  could you write a harry hook x reader where the reader is the queen of heart’s daughter and she goes to auradon with the rotten four but she actually wants to stay on the plan to take down the barrier and she goes mad when they don’t give maleficent the wand and she gets sent back to the isle, angry as all hell, and she joins uma’s crew, thus falling for harry and them being the cutest psycho couple ever?? thanks so much! love your work :)

Getting sent back to the Isle wasn’t that bad. It meant you got away from all of those prissy princesses and princes. Even if it meant failing your mother.

Even if it meant hating the ones you used to call friends, as they are the reason why you were sent back. They couldn’t follow through with the original plans like you wanted, so you got sent back for being insane as they put it.

When you came back, Gil was there to greet you back to the isle and bring you to talk to Uma, and from then on out, you’ve been part of their crew. They accepted you, sensing the power you had over most of the people on the Isle as you were part of the rotten four’s gang.

Here is Who We Know For a Fact is on the Isle, Why, and What They’ve Been Up To

As per the Descendants wiki (which needs a lot of updating so it’s possible I’m missing some). Also thoughts in parenthesis are mine, because I’m snarky.

  • Anastasia Tremaine: Abusing Cinderella, deceiving the king and prince, identity theft, assault, seems to generally be involved in villainous group schemes, probably including whatever led to the creation of the Isle. (Seriously, I have NO IDEA why she’s here, SHE REFORMED COME ON. I can only assume that something happened). Now she’s presumably working at the salon, Curl Up and Dye, and she has a bunch of daughters, one of whom is named Anita, and at least one son, Anthony.
  • Captain Hook: Murder, attempted murder, kidnapping, hostage holding, torture, manipulating Tinker Bell, presumably a lot of theft, since he’s a pirate. (Yeah, okay, he earned a criminal sentence). He’s got three kids - Harriet, Harry, and CJ, and he runs a fishing shop. Also still has the Jolly Roger, so it must have been repaired post-octopus destroying it. He also used to own Uma’s ship but he had a race to give it to someone else and Uma won.
  • Claude Frollo: ….Do I gotta elaborate? How about being genocidal, abuse of power, attempted murder, arson, torture, sexual harassment and attempted assault, child abuse, false imprisonment as Quasimodo was an adult, he should have been free to leave the tower. (Yeah, he deserves EVERYTHING he gets). Currently he runs a creperie and has a daughter named Claudine. ..Ben, please, I will PAY you to rescue her.
  • Clayton: Poaching, animal abuse, attempted murder. He has a son named Clay now.
  • Coachman: Kidnapping, animal abuse, child abuse, dark magic. He runs a taxi service….presumably pulled by donkeys. *shudders*
  • Cruella De Vil: Animal abuse to the nth degree, theft, attempted murder since she tried to run a dude off the road. She currently has Carlos and I dunno what she does for a living.
  • Diablo: Aiding, abetting and enabling Maleficent. Currently still does, now that his petrification is broken.
  • Dr. Facilier: Dark magic, attempted theft and attempted murder. Currently runs a shop and has at least one child, Freddie.
  • Drizella Tremaine: All the same stuff as Anastasia, minus identity theft, but she never ever reformed or showed substantial remorse. Currently works at the salon and has a number of daughters, one of whom is Dizzy.
  • Edgar Balthazar: Animal abuse, attempted theft. This is the butler from the Aristocats for those of you who forgot him. He has a son, Eddie. No idea what he does though - maybe he buttles for one of the royal villains?
  • Flotsam and Jetsam: Aiding, abetting, and enabling Ursula. They currently live in a fish tank at the Chips shoppe. At least one of them has children, but Jay owns them as pets.
  • Gaston: Kidnapping, attempted murder, inciting a mob to violence and attempted murder, attempted false imprisonment, blackmail. He has a hunting store and three boys - one named Gaston Jr., one named Gaston the Third, and one named Gil.
  • Governor Ratcliffe: Attempted genocide, attempted murder, conspiracy to frame Pocahontas and John Smith. He has a son called Rick.
  • Hades: Attempted murder, conspiracy to commit a coup, unleashing the titans. He has a son named Hadie and seems to sell Greek food (or what the Isle can pass as Greek food).
  • Horace: Theft, ransoming, basically being hired hitmen for Cruella, animal abuse, impersonating another. Claimed to reform. Has a kid named Harold, called Harry.
  • Horned King: Kidnapping, attempted murder, tried to take over the world, abuse of power. Owns a cauldron repair joint.
  • Iago: Aided, abetted, and enabled Jafar, impersonating royalty, a few counts of theft, although he reformed (AND I AM SO MAD HE’S ON THE ISLE). Apparently he’s lost his ability to speak (or pretends he has) and has a son called Othello, whom Evie keeps as a pet. Seems to have teamed back up with Jafar. (STILL HORRIFYING).
  • Jafar: Attempted coup, attempted murder, false imprisonment, theft, dark magic. He has a junk shop where his son steals stuff and then he sells it back. Has a son, Jay.
  • Jasper: Same as Horace. Has a son named Jace.
  • Lady Tremaine: Child abuse, abuse of magic, false imprisonment, destruction of property, some believe she murdered her husband. Aided and abetted identity theft and deceiving the royal family. Owns the salon.
  • LeFou: Attempted murder, conspiracy to commit false imprisonment and blackmail, assault. He has a son called LeFou Deux (and he owes his son an apology for that).
  • Lucifer: Abusing Cinderella. Has a bunch of kittens, one of which is owned by Carlos as a pet.
  • Madame Mim: Cheating in a Wizard Duel (presumably punishable by some sort of magical penalty) and attempted murder. She has a few granddaughters, one of whom is called Maddy.
  • Maleficent: Child endangerment, attempted murder, kidnapping, torture. Often claims a leadership position in villain group plans, has a daughter named Mal, and is currently her pet lizard.
  • Maleficent’s Goblins: Aiding, abetting and enabling Maleficent. Currently trying to request amnesty from her.
  • Mother Gothel: Child abuse, false imprisonment, attempted murder. Currently teaching at one of the schools, has a daughter called Ginny.
  • Pain and Panic: Aiding, abetting, and enabling Hades. Pain has a lane named after him on the Isle.
  • Queen of Hearts: Attempted murder and abuse of power. Currently owns a salon.
  • Ratigan: Attempted murder, murder, extortion, attempted coup, kidnapping. Lives on the Isle, occasionally gets chased out of the chip shoppe by an angry Ursula.
  • Royal Astronomer of Agrabah: Knowingly aided, abetted, and enabled Jafar’s plans by checking if the stars aligned for Jafar’s purposes. Has a son named Reza.
  • Scar: Murder, coup, false confession, assault, false imprisonment, abuse of power. Lives on the Isle.
  • Shan Yu: Kidnapping, mass murder of civilians, attempted murder, attempted conquest for sake of showing off. Owns a Dim Sum place, and he lives near the Jolly Roger.
  • Shenzi, Banzai, Ed: Aided, abetted, and enabled Scar, whom they later murdered. Currently have cubs who were given out as pets by Evie. Apparently they were cool with that (HORRIFYING).
  • Shere Khan: Attempted murder, assault. Somehow owns a pawn shop, apparently he has a soft spot for Evie (or did when she was a small child).
  • Smee: Aiding, abetting and enabling Hook. Has a son, named Sammy.
  • The Evil Queen, Grimhilde; Dark magic, attempted murder. Has a daughter named Evie.
  • The Ringmaster: Animal abuse. (REALLY. THIS GUY WAS NOT EVIL. HE DID HIS DARN JOB, YOU CAN’T HAVE AN ANIMAL BEATING CHILDREN EVEN IF THEY’RE INCREDIBLY ANNOYING. I guess he was cruel to Dumbo afterwards? Still. Adam. Harsh). Has a daughter named Hermie.
  • Tick Tock: Attempted murder I guess? Has a bunch of baby crocs, apparently refuses to eat Harry’s hand.
  • Ursula: Attempted coup, dark magic, abuse of power, attempted murder, false imprisonment if turning people into weeds is illegal. Has several daughters, most of whom are violinists, but one of whom is Uma, a pirate captain. These days she only sits on her couch watching soap operas and occasionally chasing out Ratigan, leaving the store to her ‘useless’ child, Uma (I’m bitter, can you tell?).
  • Yzma: Attempted coup, attempted murder, dark magic, faking a death, scamming. Has two children at least, a girl called Yzla and a boy called Zevon.
Rise of the Isle of the Lost Spoilers

So spoilers are below if you are planning on reading the book.

Our Little Land Lover - Part Two (Harry Hook x Uma x Reader)

Warning: Polyamory

It is a normal day. Or at least it is a normal day for you. But, you decide that your hair is not enough. That you want it to be different to represent who you are. It is also going to be a surprise for your two lovers, they love your natural brown curls but you need a change. It will be fun surprising them after the three of you have been together for a couple of months now.

Walking into Curl Up and Dye, you smile as you see young Dizzy sweeping and cleaning. She smiles as she sees you walk through the door.

“Hi, Y/N!” she says cheerfully and puts away her broom.

“Hey, I need a favor,” you say and she grins happily.

You sit in the chair, telling her what you want. You close your eyes and let Dizzy work her magic.

After an hour or so, your chair turns and you try to see your new hair in the cracked mirror. Your calm face quickly turns into a large grin as you see your straight burgundy hair. It is gorgeous and you know that Uma and Harry will love it. You hand Dizzy her money and she hugs you happily.

Speaking of Harry, he walks in arrogantly as Dizzy walks over to the cash register.

“Hand it over,” he says with a somewhat insane grin on his face.

You sigh and roll your eyes.

“She will do nothing of the sorts, Harry Hook,” you say and he quickly turns to look at you.

“Y/N! You look gorgeous, my love,” he says in shock, walking over to you to wrap his arms around your waist.

You roll your eyes and shake your head.

“I told you that you could not steal from DIzzy anymore, she doesn’t deserve it,” you say and push him away.

He pouts and looks at you with a fake innocent look.

“You know I can’t do that, Uma needs the money,” he says and takes your hand, kissing it endearingly.

You pull it away and roll your eyes again.

“You don’t need the money, you just like the money,” you say, crossing your arms.

He sighs and hands the money back to Dizzy.

“Is that better?” he asks, annoyed.

You nod and smile slightly.

“But you still don’t get to touch me. And you ruined my surprise!” you say before grabbing your bag and walking out.

Harry chases after you, a small smile on your face as he yells out apologies.

“I’m sorry, love! I have to! I’m a pirate!” he says as he walks behind you.

You grin as you realize the amount of power you have.

“You don’t have to do anything,” you say, continuing to walk toward the docks to surprise Uma.

“I’m sorry, Y/N’ he whispers in your ear sweetly, stopping you from walking forward by wrapping his arms around your waist.

You keep your arms crossed, tempted to place your arms on top of his like you do usually.

“You’re not forgiven,” you say softly and Harry smiles, knowing that he has won.

“Oh, but I am,” he says and kisses your cheek.

You smile and roll your eyes, turning around and wrapping your arms around his neck. You look up at him and kiss him sweetly before a familiar voice interrupts the two of you.

“Your hair,” Uma says and walks into the alleyway.

Harry and you separate, a small grin on your face. You wrap your arms around her neck and she wraps her arms around your waist.

“Hey, beautiful,” she says and pecks your lips.

You smile and then glance at Harry.

“My hair was supposed to be a surprise,” you whine slightly. “But Harry ruined it.”

Uma turns to Harry with a questioning look on her face.

“What did you do, Harry?” she asks, slightly amused.

Harry huffs.

“I didn’t do anything to her.”

You raise your eyebrows and let out a dry laugh.

“You wish you didn’t do anything,” you take Uma’s hand and start off to the chip shop without Harry.

Harry looks like a sad puppy as he follows the two of you to the chip shop. There, the crew is sitting happily and munching on their mediocre food.

They all cheer brightly as their leader enters. It is a good life.

You walk around, stealing and telling fortunes. Today is a somewhat special day, but you happen to forget. It is your birthday. Of course, you do not remember because of the fact that your father has been working you way too hard recently. Harry and Uma decide that you need a break, and they have something special for you on your birthday.

You walk into the chip shop, though it seems to be rather vacant at the moment. Gil is sitting in the corner, eating away at the eggs on his plate. You frown and walk over when you do not see Harry and Uma.

“Hey, Gil. Where is everybody?” you ask him.

He looks up at you and his eyes widen.

“I-I don’t know,” he says, sounding untruthful.

You frown and place your hands on the wooden table.

“Gil, where is everybody?” you ask him sternly.

He is saved when Harry and Uma walk through the front doors of the chip shop with almost dead flowers in their hands.

“Happy Birthday, love,” Harry whispers and realization takes over your face.

“Oh my gosh, it is my birthday isn’t it?” you ask and Harry smiles, wrapping an arm around your waist and kissing your cheek.

“It is indeed, pearl,” Uma says and takes your hand, kissing your knuckles.

“We have a lovely day planned, so let’s get started. Shall we?” Harry asks and smiles.

You nod and off the two of you went.

The two of them planned out an amazing day. You three ate food and spend time together. The last thing all of you did was a dinner.

“I don’t want to go on the boat,” you say softly as you look down at the water.

Harry takes your left hand and Uma takes your right.

“You’re not getting into the water at all, and we’ll keep you safe,” Uma says.

You look at them reluctantly before stepping onto the bridge. You walk out onto the deck where a nice dinner has been laid out.

“I love you two,” you whisper and they smile at you.

The night winds down and your two lovers bring out two small boxes. You frown and shake your head.

“You two did not,” you mumble and put down your napkin.

Harry hands you his gift first and he smiles.

“I made it myself,” he mumbles a bit shyly and you open it up to see a small hook charm on a necklace.

You look at him in awe and smile, leaning over the table to kiss him lovingly.

“This is amazing,” you remark and put it on, looking at it adoringly.

Uma hands you hers.

“Open mine, I made mine too,” she says and intertwines her hand with Harry’s.

You open Uma’s and find a bracelet with a shell charm. This is when you start to tear up, knowing that this really meant that you were theirs and they were yours.

You put on the bracelet and then get up abruptly, hugging the two loves of your life.

Our little land lover,” the two of them say softly and you feel your heart warm.

Gil x Reader - “I’ve Always Loved You” (Part One)

Request: “Hi I was wondering if you could do a Gil imagine where your Evie’s sister and when you go back to the isle you and Gil like each other and Evie, mal, Carlos, jay, Ben, Uma, and harry try to get them together and in the end it’s all fluffy thank you so much 😊 and I love your blog so much”

Pairing: Gil x Reader

Warnings: None

A/N: So I’ve decided to split up this imagine into two possibly three parts as sort of a series partly because I have a lot of requests to do and I want to get out as much content as possible and I want to make this one have multiple scenes to it!

Your POV

“Y/N? Are you even listening?”

You turned and looked toward your sister Evie as she held up two dresses, both blue of course, in front of you.

“Sorry E, I was distracted.” You blushed turning back to her.

“As I was saying, which one do you think I should wear to my date with Doug when we get back?” She questioned placing both outfits in front of her figure. You studied the dresses and pointed to the one that was medium length and made of a sort of leather kind of fabric.

“That one, you look good in leather.” You smiled. She squealed and enveloped you into a tight hug. “I was hoping you’d pick this one! Thanks sis!”

You chuckled softly as she skipped away, eager to start accessorizing the dress.

Once your sister was out of sight, you went back to watching Uma’s crew train. The swords clashing and sounds of boots pounding on the docks made you smile as you thought of your memories on the Isle.

Evie was your younger sister by merely a year, she was always the more confident and fashion forward sibling.

You had taken up the role of being the shy individual who would rather stay inside on a rainy day and read books, much to Evie’s dismay.

She always tried to set you up with a multitude of boys in Auradon, thought maybe you were more into the prince-y type. But you never found a connection with those boys, because of him. Gil, son of Gaston, the object of your affections and your crush for as long as you could remember.

Your families had lived across the street from each other, and your friendship blossomed. You had always helped Gil with his homework when he struggled, and he taught you how to defend yourself from creeps on the Isle.

You had also bonded over being the less favored sibling of your parents. Your mother always resented you for not caring about marriage and royalty, so she gave more attention to Evie.

Gil was thought of as stupid by his father and was basically shunned for wanting to be a part of Uma’s crew. You snapped out of your thoughts as training had just ended. “You gonna tell her scaredy cat?” Harry Hook grinned as he and Gil walked up to you.

“Tell me what?” You questioned as Gil’s face turned a dark crimson. “N-Nothing, come on Y/N.” Gil said glaring at Harry and leading you out of the area.

“What was that about?” You asked glancing back at Uma and her first mate as they giggled in your direction. “Just the usual teasing.” He said with a smile.

You smiled widely and took his hand as you made your way to “Curl-Up & Dye” to meet up with Mal and Evie.

Third Person’s POV

“So, you think she likes him?” Mal asked Evie once she had explained the situation that had just gone on.

“Of course! Heart eyes were practically popping out of her head once she saw him training. And they’ve been best friends forever, I know my sister and she cares about Gil just as much as she does me.” Evie answered with a focused expression.

The pair were currently sitting in Lady Tremaine’s salon while Dizzy was toying around with different shells she had found for her necklaces.

“Hey guys!” Y/N exclaimed waltzing into the room with her hand intertwined with Gil’s tightly. Mal looked with wide eyes and Evie nodded at her in a sneaky fashion.

“What’s going on here?” She asked gesturing towards the couple’s hands. Gil and Y/N immediately pulled apart and started shooting down her accusations.

“Come on E, Gil and I? No way.” Y/N laughed nervously.

Mal and Evie saw the physical deflation of Gil’s figure as the words left Y/N’s mouth.

But they knew she didn’t mean what she said, and they were going to need all the help they can get to make these two admit their feelings.

When Mal and everyone comes to recuse Ben they find out that their sister is dating Harry or Gil. (Mal or Jay) aren’t happy at first but they see how happy their sister is with Harry or Gil and eventually warm up to them dating. earth girls are easy

“Holy shit, there’s a giant hairdryer in the pool,” Darcy exclaims. She drags her headphones off, wincing at the strands of her hair that go with it.

The hairdryer is yellow and red, a few shades off from Natasha’s hair color–this week anyway. It might not be a hairdryer–they didn’t normally come without a cord–but it definitely isn’t a car. And definitely, definitely isn’t real.

“Okay, Darcy, it’s fine, just chill out. It’s just an illusion. Bad energy from Ian. Totally not real,” she says to herself. Ian wasn’t evil, not like that neo-nazi Spencer working at the Vape Lounge by Curl Up & Dye who kept asking her tits out. But he was a controlling douche-nozzle who was too busy boinking everyone but her to go on a third date. Gaslighting walnut. “Right, positive thinking, D. The hairdryer isn’t there and you can jump in and swim right through it.”

She drops her phone and headphones onto the lounger and dives into the pool head-first. It’s not her best decision.

The hairdryer is very, very, real and very solid. Just like the lump on her head.

“Oh my gawd,” Darcy screeches, scrambling back from the blue furry thing hovering over her. “This is not happening. Is it?”

“Ziz zit,” says the blue alien.

“Sizzz it,” echo two more furry figures, one red with a shiny yellow arm, the other Big Bird yellow.

“Oh gawd, it is. I’m on a spaceship. I’ve been abducted by Teletubbies. This is all banana-balls. I mean, why would you wanna abduct me? My roommate Jane maybe, she’s like super smart, or Helen down the block, who’s, like, just as smart. And me, I’m just a manicurist with an awesome music collection. Oh gawd, you’re gonna probe me aren’t you? I’m super not into furries, so, like, yanno, your kink is not my kink?”

“Miii ink-k,” says blue.

“My kink-k,” says the yellow alien.

“Kink-ee,” says red.

“Wow, you learn quick. Yeah, I just wanna go home and not be in a magazine next to an article about the Jersey Devil and Bat Boy having brunch with Elvis,” Darcy says backing up slowly. “Wait, are we still in my pool?”

“Okay you guys, what’s the plan for tonight?” Natasha asks as she twists a lock of her red hair around her finger.

“Whoa, Natasha, reality check. We can’t go out with these guys, they’re aliens!” Darcy protests.

“So? They can still be dates,” Nat says. The corner of her mouth turns up as she eyes the three alien men standing for them. “You should know that, after all, it was your roommate that ran off and married one.”

“Thor is not a space alien! He’s from Ikea? No, Iceland, ugh, I don’t know. Anyways, there’s a difference between illegal aliens and the outer space kind!”

“But look at them, Darcy. They’re hot.”

“So, hot,” Darcy agrees. Sta-eeev turns his head towards her, eyebrows arching up on his fur free face. Embarrassment heats Darcy’s face and she jerks her eyes over to where Zam and B-uk-ee are trying on sunglasses from Natasha’s vast collection.

“Come on it’ll be fun,” Natasha says. A predatory smirk works its way across her face. “Not-So-Little-Boy-Blue for you…and I’ll take Sam-”

“Zam,” Zam says across the room.

“…and the one with the metal arm too,” Nat says, a smile sharp as her best hair scissors lighting up her face.
