Kiyomizu at sunset. It was actually not as busy as what I had anticipated which made for a nice change instead of crazy touristy crowds squashed together lol. The koyo is just breaking through here at the temple, still slightly early yet, but the colours were lovely.
When we got back to my house we were completely exhausted and decided to have a nap. I woke up around 18:00 and looked outside as the sun was setting. I asked Nomu if he wanted to go and watch the sunset by the river but we both thought the sunset wasn’t going to be anything particularly spectacular. 30 mins later we looked outside to see what looked like a painting in the sky. We ran outside and began to chase the sunset all the way down to the river. By the time we got there it had completely set. This is what I managed to capture on the way down. I was a little bit sad because I haven’t really seen a decent sunset since being back here. Moral of the story.. Always say yes to watching the sunset lol.
