This shot right here is what breaks my heart. It physically illustrates something we’ve known about Sara all along: she’s always been alone. The only time that ever changed was when she was accepted into her CSI family, and even that is being questioned now. The only time she hasn’t spent alone was her life together with Grissom, who isn’t here right now.
And that leaves Sara to be what she always has been: alone. And then this guy that Basderic has paid to approach her shows up, and she begins to think that maybe tonight won’t be as miserable as she first thought. She doesn’t want to sleep with him. She’s not after physical intimacy. She wants the emotional, intellectual closeness of being around someone genuinely interested in her. Not someone from the lab; someone away from work.
I know I’ve said this before, but I wanted to make another quick post before Forget Me Not airs tomorrow.
I know everyone’s worried about the fate of GSR, and I don’t know it probably doesn’t sound very reassuring when someone tells you not to, but… don’t worry, guys. Seriously.
Billy and Jorja both fought so hard for GSR. Grissom is never going to be killed off. Billy made it a point to tell them he didn’t want Grissom to die, and he wouldn’t have invested all that time of including ad-libs and suggesting scene changes to specifically include GSR, just so they could split them up in the end.
NOW. All this being said… they may do a trial separation or decide to have them “take a break” for a little while. But this is NOT going to be permanent, and when you really think about it, it makes perfect sense. The long distance relationship has taken a hard toll on both of them, and has been for a long time, and something had to give eventually, right? It would make perfect sense for them to take a break and figure out how to make things work, especially given the events that are going to take place in Forget Me Not.
But just remember: even if they’re separated, it is only temporary. They will never split up for good. This is just to shake things up, and to show how much the long distance is affecting them.
But we’ll get a happy ending when it’s all said and done. Trust the writers, guys, and trust Billy and Jorja’s judgment… they’re not going to steer us wrong. So sit back and enjoy the ride that is Forget Me Not… and fangirl away :)
the phone call actually made me really happy. I mean, I knew– and know–100% they’re not going to break up GSR anyway, but at least Sara finaLLY ANSWERED THE FREAKING PHONE UGH that was starting to drive me a little crazy even though sara’s my bby and i understand the srs f e e l s my girl is having right now but that doesn’t change the biznizz she has wit her hubs and at least they didn’t torture us with having it end like him saying “Sara what’s wrong do you want a divorce” and Sara just being all:
GURRRRRL YOU ARE NOT FINE i mean you are fine in the sense that you are a beautiful life-ruiner but YOU ARE NOT FINE OKAY
I DON’T KNOW HOW LEGIT THESE ARE BUT THESE WERE POSTED ON TALKCSI

Well, I can honestly say that after last night, and after watching the promo on my HD TV earlier after my class (I recorded the ep last night but didn’t get to watch it)… and rewinding several times… I am still a flailing fangirl over Forget-Me-Not.
