5. ARNICA SALVE (soothes bruises, aches, and pains)
What you need:
dried Arnica, .1 ounces 4 ½ ounces grapeseed or olive oil ½ ounce beeswax canning jar optional: peppermint essential oil
Pour oil over arnica flowers in a jar. Turn on the oven to 300 degrees. While it warms up, place the jars with arnica flowers/oil into a loaf pan or casserole dish. Add water to the bottom of the pan so it comes up the sides of the jars (about an inch or so).
Once oven is preheated, place this dish with the jars and water in it, into the oven. Turn OFF the oven. Leave for 3 hours.
Place arnica infused oil in top of double boiler, add ½ ounce beeswax (this will make a slave consistency. If you want this to be more like a balm, add extra beeswax – this will make it thicker and firmer). Warm over medium heat until beeswax is melted. Remove from heat, add 10 drops peppermint essential oil, if desired. Pour into jar and allow to cool completely before closing with lid. Note: Arnica salve should be not be used on skin that is broken, or on open wounds. It is intended for use on bruises, bumps, sprains, and aches.

¼-½ cup honey 1 T ground licorice root ¼ cup slippery elm
Place slippery elm into a bowl and add a few tablespoons of the honey. Stir to combine and add more honey until the consistency resembles playdoh. (During this time, the plantain/oil mixture on the stove top should be ready to turn off. Remove from heat and allow to cool). Use approximately 1/8 inch of the ‘playdoh’ mixture to roll a small ball to create a lozenge. Roll this ball in ground licorice root and place lozenge on parchment paper. Repeat until all of the mixture is used. Let air dry to harden.

That is it for your herbal remedy cabinet must haves!
I went to a class last night and we made our own smokeless incense sprays! I wanted something for psychic awareness because I have sensed that my 3rd eye is trying to open and I believe this spray will help as well as for any divination work.
What You Need:
Orange Essential Oil
Yarrow Essential Oil
Nutmeg Essential Oil
Moonstone Crystal Chip
Rutilated Quartz Crystal Chip
Clear Quartz Crystal Chip
4 Oz. Blue Glass Spray Bottle
How To Make:
- First pick your oils. In my case I chose Yarrow, Orange and Nutmeg for a few reasons. Firstly, I picked the oils based off of The Complete Book of Incense, Oils and Brews by Scott Cunningham. In the back he had a section where you can pick herbs and oils to infuse for a specific purpose. I chose these three out of the options because it smelled nice and it gave me a buzz.
- Next, get a little cup (as shown above) and fill it ½ with Vodka. (We used the brand Absolute Vodka but any will do. Make sure it isn’t flavored.)
- Then put in the oils. 30 Drops max should be enough for all three scents selected. In this instance, I put 5 drops Yarrow, 12 drops Nutmeg & 13 drops Orange.
- Test out the mix. Smell it and see if it resonates with you. Here add in a few more drops if needed. If not, you don’t have to.
- Then pinch the edge of the cup so that it creates an edge and pour the mixture into the bottle.
- Place your crystal chips into the bottle as well.
- Once everything is in the bottle, fill it to the bottom of where the cap will lie (in the first picture, it is filled to the bottom of the black cap). The reason for this is so that when you put your spray in, the bottle won’t overflow.
- Lastly, charge your bottle with your intent. I also infused reiki energy but that isn’t required.
How To Use:
Use this spray as you see fit. I will personally use this spray for any divination work, meditation and possible 3rd eye work.
A perfume spell to protect the user from negative people and their presence and instead attract positive people.
You Will Need:
💟 A spray bottle or perfume bottle (you can find them on amazon)
💟 Carrier Alcohol (vodka is usually most common but I have used rubbing alcohol with success)
💟 20-30 drops Rose Essential Oil (depends on your preference and bottle size)
💟 5-8 drops Sweet Orange Essential Oil
💟 1-3 drops Vanilla Essential Oil
💟 Amethyst, Angel Aura Quartz, Fluorite, Rainbow Obsidian, and/or Rose Quartz
💟 In your bottle fill it about half with your alcohol and then add in your drops of oil. Shake well and test. If not strong enough add more (do know that you will be adding water to it so it will be distilled a bit)
💟 Once you are happy with the scent add your water and shake well to mix
💟 Place in a window over night encircled by any of the crystals above to charge.
💟 Spray onto self before leaving your home to protect yourself from negative people and attract positive people. Store at room temperature.
So, like last year, I was once again lucky enough to have a Jared Meet&Greet, and got to be close to a tired yet focused Jared Padalecki (who’d just woken up from a nap in between his autograph session and his M&G).
Before anyone began asking questions, there was a knock on the door but no one entered. Jared looked at a staff member and asked her “Is it Ackles? Is he fucking with me again?“ - then laughed. Apparently, it wasn’t Jensen who then joined us for Jared’s M&G, but Jensen’s stunt double. Why he was at the convention I have no idea, but he sat down and observed the M&G (as well as a few panels, I noticed later that day) - and confirmed a few facts when Jared asked him about something.
Jared’s chapter in ‘Family Don’t End With Blood’ was mentioned and whether or not he would consider writing a book. His answer was no. He said he’d spent a whole year writing that chapter and, besides not having a lot of time on his hands, he’d had some anxiety writing it (I guess because he was afraid it wasn’t good enough). However, Jared said he felt like he owed it to us to be honest about it all. I admit I was struggling not to tear up at this point, having not only read his chapter but had been in Rome during JIB6 when Jared had gone through his breakdown.
A fan mentioned her reason behind telling Jared a funny story during his solo panel (the beenie/penis story - I’m sure there’re videos of it if someone doesn’t know what I’m talking about), that it was because people often tell Jared sad stories and she therefore wanted to make him laugh instead. She also said that he took on too much on his shoulders, that he was not alone in this, and that we were all there to carry some of the weight with him. Jared appreciated that.
He also got some questions about his love for watches, his ‘Venatore’ wine (Jared said he could talk forever about his love for both watches and wine) and his favorite author.
By then, the M&G was almost over but Jared luckily picked me to ask the last question. My question was: “When you do emotional scenes on the show with Jensen, do you think of something sad? Or does the emotion come natural to you after working together for so long and being so close in real life?“
I got really distracted by the fact that Jared was looking straight at ME and answering MY question, but this is what I remember of his answer:
Jared said it was a great question. He said that he, in the beginning of the show, did think of sad things to bring out that kind of emotion, but proceeded to say that he doesn’t do that anymore. Jared said that he hates when the script says “Sam cries“ (which is something Jensen also mentioned in his solo panel) because he doesn’t wanna cry unless he feels like the scene calls for it. So if someone writes that in a script or if a director tells him to cry, he’ll say “I appreciate you saying it but I’ve known this character for 12 years, so please don’t ever tell me that again”. Jared mentioned the scene in 12x22 where Dean and Sam had to break through the wall in the bunker. It wasn’t supposed to be an emotional scene, but he and Jensen had felt like the scene called for it. Jared then said that he couldn’t remember if Sam cried during that scene, and I remarked “Well,I did!“ which made Jared laugh.
He mentioned the church scene between Dean and Sam in the episode “Sacrifice“ and how it was originally scripted that Sam should be all tough about it and practically yell his words at Dean. However, that wasn’t what the scene called for. When they’d gone through the scene, Jared (as Sam) had felt the emotion and had teared up, so that’s the direction he had to go with the scene (and thank God for that since it’s one of my favorite scenes!) He continued to talk about how the brain knows the emotion isn’t real but the body doesn’t, so it’s tough having to do emotional scenes - especially when 5 minutes in a scene takes like 14 hours to film.
Jared then talked about how Sam is a tough guy who, nine out of ten times, tries to hold back his tears rather than show them because he wants to be strong. Jared remarked that crying is not a sign of weakness - that you’re also strong when you cry - but that Sam tries to hold it in. Which, Jared said, was also an emotionally draining thing to do. Both for him and Sam.
Note: During his talk about the church scene and how Sam always tries to be tough and not cry, I swear Jared’s eyes turned wet for a second (as well as my eyes did). Whether it was because of what he said or because he was just tired, I can’t know for sure - but I was sitting pretty close to him and he was looking straight into my eyes at the time.
Anyways, Jared also talked about how guest stars often get something (I don’t remember what he called it. Crystallized something) sprayed into their eyes to be able to cry. Jared has only tried that one time, and that was when he was in House of Wax. His character had to cry but Jared couldn’t do it because he had to sit completely still in the scene (where he’s been waxed) and couldn’t use his facial expressions. That was the only time he’d ever needed help to cry in a scene.
Jared then repeated that it was a really good question, but time had run out by then and he had to leave the room. I was more than a little stoked to get such a long and detailed answer to my question - and more than a little awestruck to have Jared’s eyes on me throughout almost his entire answer.
I am, at my core, a witchy person forever in search of low-spoons ways to woo. This is probably one of the lowest-spoons things I’ve ever done. The way I use it, is I either mist it over the area that needs cleansing, or else spray it on a rag and wipe down whatever surface I want to clean up.
A word of warning, though: Don’t use this on any surface that can be damaged by salt water, because that’s mostly what it is.
A spray bottle. I got mine for $1 at the Dollar Tree.
Salt. This is also easily available at the dollar store.
Water. Generally available from a tap.
A quartz crystal small enough to fit in the spray bottle. I got mine from my boyfriend, the crystal king. You can use other crystals or stones, but be sure that they are safe in contact with salt water and won’t be damaged or rendered toxic.
I also threw in some of the eclipse water I made during the solar eclipse.
Here’s how you make it:
Pour some salt into the spray bottle, using a funnel if necessary. I made a funnel out of a spare sheet of paper.
Drop in the quartz crystal.
Fill the spray bottle with hot water, cap it, and shake it around to dissolve the salt.
Bless/dedicate the bottle for cleansing and purification in your preferred manner.
By sheer coincidence of me not wanting to waste anything I made a spray that smells just like potting soil/mulch! And I love it! It’s such a deep earthy scent and it’s great! Seriously I wish you guys could smell this! If you love the smell of dirt like me you will love this spray.
I mostly use it for cleansing my room, namely my bed, (and just as a nice scent), but all the ingredients are also good for protection and healing so you can use it for that too. And its ultra simple, with only three ingredients, and pretty cheap!
- tea tree oil
- rose water**
*i let this steep until the water was cool so a really really long time because I was just going to use it for a spray also its not pickle juice I promise I just reuse pickle jars after cleaning them!
**this rose water was the water that was actually boiling my rose petals not the distilled water you can catch (hence the color), i just wanted to find a use for it aside from just adding it to my garden so I kept it.
-I just used a 16 oz spray bottle I have and filled it with about 2-3 oz of the rose water, filled up the rest with the peppermint tea, and added 4-5 drops of the tea tree oil. I eyeballed these but its about a 1:5 rose water to peppermint tea ratio with 1 drop tea tree for every 4 oz.
-Shake and spray! Seriously that’s it!
-Pair it with any sigils you have (I have a cleansing sigil on the bottom of my bottle) and any crystals(tho i cant recommend spraying the crystals or keeping them in the water, just next to, or a pendant wrapped around the bottle is recommended)
Different inflection when you say my name Kiss me, but your kiss don’t taste the same Is it real or am I going out of my mind? Curious ‘bout the company that you keep ‘Cause I hear you talking 'bout her in your sleep And now you’ve got me talking 'bout her in mine

I am laying down next to Stiles whom is asleep while I am trying to focus on the book in my hands.“So, I love you because the entire universe conspired to help me find you,” I read out loud, and smile a little. I stare at the boy next to me, and repeat the quote again, adding at the end, “I really love you.” That’s when I hear it , “Lydia,”Stiles mumbled and I felt my heart broke in million pieces right there. “Lydia,” he repeated again.
I decided to ignore what just happened, maybe I was overreacting. “Yeah, i am overreacting,”I tell myself, “You are overreacting about what?,” Stiles says with a sleepy voice, “Ehh, about something i just read.” I answer rapidly. He looks at me with some doubt, but I am fast enough to change the topic. “Do you feel better?,” He nods and places his hand on my cheek ; “Thanks, thanks for staying with me.” I grin, and peck his lips. “Well, it’s kinda late,” He says looking at his watch. “Yeah, I should head back home. Mom must be freaking out.” “Well, I am sorry for her but I won’t let you go at this hour. We already know how dangerous Beacon Hills is.” “Yeah, but you only had to say that you wanted me to stay,” I tell him. “I know how much you love stating the obvious.” Stiles says staring directly into my eyes. I laugh a little, he kisses me. Every time our lips touched, it felt as if time stopped. “We should sleep, almost 2 in the morning,” I say and he nods and makes me cuddle up with him. I didn’t realise until that moment how tired I really was, I had been so focused in the book. I closed my eyes, and muttered “Goodnight.” “Goodnight,” Stiles replied back.
I woke up to the sound of Stile’s alarm, I get up being careful enough to wake him up that’s when it happens again. “Ly-dia, Lydia…Don’t leave me,” He mumbles and this time I couldn’t let it pass. “Stiles, wake up,” I shake him softly. He yawns a little, sits downs in the bed, and open his eyes then gives me that cheeky smile of his. “Good morning,” He says and tries to kiss me, but I stop him. “Did you any interesting dream?,” I mention. He stares at me a bit confused but answers “Well, I did have a dream. Why?” “You were sleep talking,” I try to choose my worlds wisely. “But…” I begin to say; he stops me mid sentence, “But what?.” “You mentioned Lydia’s name both times. You begged for her to not leave you…” My voice kinda breaks a little at the end. He sighs, noticing what is going on. “In some way… I always knew it, I knew it. It’s not your fall at all. Blame it all on me, I was silly enough to fall for you. Everybody could see it, they used to say it was obvious. Still, I decided to cover the world with one finger,” I say, it was notorious how much each world was destroying me inside. “Every time you look at her, it’s with admiration with love. You love her, not me.” “Y/N, let me…” Stiles begins to say ; “Stiles, there’s nothing to explain. I always knew. Lydia, she’s perfect. She’s beautiful, smart, almost every guy is after her. She, is some way, has the world at her feet. That’s the way it is, but I can’t hate her either. She’s my best friend, and I love her for being her too. I’m between the wall and the sword. Trapped,” I said almost in tears. “Let me talk!,” He said already exasperated.
-“Y/N, I won’t sugarcoat things for you. It’s true, I did have feelings for Lydia. I was crazy for her, all that is true. But do you know what else is true?.” I stay quiet waiting for him to say that he still was crazy in love for Lydia. “I met you, in the most unexpectedly way and I fell for you. I fell so hard, out there we can find so many girls that are ¨perfect’, but they are not you. I don’t want Lydia, I don’t ask for any of those ´perfect girl´. I only want my imperfectly perfect Y/N. Y/N, I love you. My heart belongs only to you,” Stiles tells me, tears were rolling down my face. Tears of joy, by the way he said I knew he meant it. “Lydia, is my friend. She’ll always be my friend, and I love my friends. But the way I love her, and the way I love you, it’s very different. Like I said, the only one to break my heart are you.” I lay my head in his chest, and he puts his arms around my body. Stiles cups my face and kisses my forehead, then wipes the tears of my face. “I love you, Y/N.” “Remember that wherever your heart is, there you will find your treasure,” He quotes the book I was reading. “My heart is with you, you are my treasure.”
So you’ve definitely heard of the easiest way to preserve whole flowers by just letting them sit there to dry out. But plenty of us have no idea how to do it correctly. It doesn’t sound so hard but somehow most of us just end up with brittle stems and no petals left. I can’t imagine submerging a flower in melted wax would keep its original shape and there’s no way I’m sticking a whole daisy in the microwave. So here’s the REAL way to preserve flowers (easily)
*You have to dry out your flowers BEFORE they start to wilt to preserve them in their most beautiful state. Do this by putting your cut flowers in an EMPTY, DRY vase or container until they’re crisp and dry as a bone. If you want to display the fresh flowers for more than a couple days, you may put them in water but at the first signs of withering petals, empty out the water, let the stems dry off, then hang your bouquet upside down to avoid drooping flower heads. A way to keep the flowers upright without hanging upside down is by spritzing them with hot, heavily salted water. When the water cools the salt with crystallize just a bit to add an extra crunchy layer to the petals. Bonus: to crystallize your flowers, spray them with a super-saturated solution of some hot water added to enough epsom salt so that not all the salt fully dissolves
