{6/30} A book that makes you sad → Socrates in Love by Kyōichi Katayama

“Your birthday was July 2nd. That means I was born into a world with you already in it. I was waiting. I was waiting all along in a world without you. I was waiting for you to be born. You only had to be alone for about three months. Isn’t that unfair?”

Crying Out Love, In The Center Of The World

I watched this film tonight, and wow… it really made me cry .
It’s not a conceptual film, it’s a dramatic one .

I can’t quite write down an interpretation of it, since all the feelings in this movie are very clear .
What I can do is ephathize one of its great aspects: Duration .
The key scenes had the right durations, in the right times and with the right moments .

The film’s photography was also great. I’ll put some good photographs from the film in the end of the post .
I would say it is a good film to watch when we’re feeling less human and want to recognize that we still have some sense .
