crown braided hairstyles

Each house's favourite: hairstyle
  • Gryffindor: ponytail – practical, cute, dynamic
  • Hufflepuff: braided crown – pretty, fairytale spirit, requires patience
  • Ravenclaw: waterfall braid – sophisticated, artistic, free
  • Slytherin: bun – classic, elegant, customizable

It has come to my attention that many of my friends don’t know how easy it can be to get a super cute braided crown look! It’s definitely my favorite for when I want to do something fast that will look cute, and keep my hair out of the way.

Sure, there are a lot of complicated ways to achieve a similar look, but if you don’t have an hour to spend doing a lace braid around your head, you can still have something nice in about 5-10 minutes using only regular braids!

This also does well with second-day hair! Just spray in some dry shampoo before you style it.

If your hair isn’t long enough to get your braids to overlap, you may have to make your ponytails closer to the side of your head, rather than at the back of it.

I hope this is helpful to you, person with long or medium-length hair!

I finished drawing Kon. Except my modem is still dead so I just took a picture of the drawings with my phone. Sigh.

I should do some traditional art to pass the time instead. Then I can upload them easier.

Protective Style: Crown (Halo) Braid

My friend and co-worker wanted to try a crown (halo) braid on my hair, so I let her. I absolutely love it! She did such a great job. Before she braided my hair, I lightly finger detangled my hair with water, applied Karen Body Beautiful Sweet Abrosia leave in, and then sealed with my homemade shea butter mix. This will be my protective style for the week. I should also mention that she laid my edges for the gawds lol! She used Eco Styler Gel (the olive oil variety) to do so. There was some slight flaking and residue, but that is okay!
