most lgbt movies you see recommended are rated r, sexually explicit, etc etc. while that’s honestly great to see and something i’m personally okay with, it leaves kids and people who DON’T want to see sex alienated.
*Please note that I have not seen all or most of these movies. I will be updating this list as I find more/watch unrated ones that can be placed here. Let me know if I missed any!

i see a lot of viktor pretending to be an amateur skater to get instructor yuuri’s attention, which is all well and good, but have you considered the opposite? alright so get this: viktor is doing some publicity event where he gives a masterclass in figure skating, and yuuri registers for it (all it says is you need a certain basic skill level, i.e. how good is your balance?) and afterwards he’s like oh god what have i done and freaks out and nearly doesn’t go. but phichit is like, “dude, come on, chase that tail,” so they schlep out together and probably have to travel cross-country or even across the border into canada to get to this damn thing, and by the time they arrive yuuri is like, so done with the whole idea already, because he’s an internationally acclaimed figure skater and he’s going to a basic class in figure skating and what if viktor recognises him and—oh, wait, that’s stupid, there’s absolutely no way viktor would know what he looks like, at least not up close, if at all. okay. that was a stupid anxiety. yuuri is fine. he’s fine. so he and phichit rock up to this event and it’s a pretty large class (they had to allow for as many of viktor’s legion of fans as they could) and yuuri thinks, it’ll be okay, viktor won’t even look in my direction, it’ll be—
and then the class kicks off and viktor skates up to yuuri with this look of poorly-disguised adoration on his face and says, “wow, you’re skating really well!” and because all they’ve done is one loop of the rink yuuri is like, “oh no, oh no no no, i can’t skate at all,” and as if to prove his point he falls flat on his face. he rolls over, and the first thing he sees his viktor holding out a hand. yuuri nearly freezes up colder than the ice, but then a voice at the back of his mind that sounds suspiciously like phichit tells him, you know what they say about the size of a man’s hands… ! so, god help him, yuuri takes viktor’s hand and lets viktor help him up. (viktor has very nice hands.) “an absolute beginner, huh?” viktor says. “we can work with that.” and yuuri doesn’t have the heart (nor the desire, really) to correct him, so he lets his anxiety takes over and skates so badly that celestino would surely drop him on the spot.
at the end of the session, viktor gushes to yuuri about how far he’s come, how he’s convinced yuuri could learn a jump or two if he put his mind to it, and meanwhile yuuri is still trying to make the fundamental leap of understanding that his idol is talking to him
(“flirting,” phichit corrects. “he’s definitely flirting.”) and it seems like he’s really enjoying their conversation, even though it’s just about mundane things like yuuri’s boring degree and boring part-time job and viktor’s flashy international stardom. afterwards, viktor offers to buy yuuri dinner, and yuuri has to concede that maybe he is flirting, but really that’s only because yuuri has been coming on pretty strong too, and he dreads what’ll happen when viktor realises he’s actually a loser with clinical anxiety. but, what the hell, you only live your dreams once, or something, so yuuri lets viktor wine and dine him and it gets less scary as the evening goes on. just as they’re about to part, viktor says, “i hope this isn’t too forward, but could i get your number?” yuuri considers that for a while. he considers it so hard he forgets to breathe, and passes out right there on the pavement. the next thing he knows he’s waking up in hospital, with a phone number written no fewer than six times (“just in case one of them rubbed off!” viktor will tell him later) all down his arms. he presumes the number is viktor’s, but he doesn’t want to take that chance. yuuri doesn’t call.
(five months later, he’s about to step on the ice at the grand prix final in sochi, when he passes viktor, and viktor gives him a curious look. yuuri stops dead in his tracks and nearly goes out cold again, but then viktor’s expression changes into a sly grin, and he says, “yuuri as in yuuri katsuki, huh? you said you were a beginner!”)
We slept in the same bed for space reasons but now we’re just waking up and there’s something about your bleary eyes and mussed hair
“Oh, no.” There was a light in Nikolai’s hazel eyes that was, frankly, obnoxious. “It seems that there is only one room left at this inn”
Alina elbowed him in the side, leaning past him to address the innkeeper. “We’ll take it.”
The innkeeper, a balding man in his late forties, looked dubiously at the both of them. Alina didn’t think she was imagining the judgment in his doughy face, and while the temptation to tear into him about his outdated morals was there, she wanted to faceplant into something resembling a mattress more.
So she wriggled her fingers at him, flashing the simple gold band that replaced the far more ridiculous green emerald when she and Nikolai were doing stupid things like travelling cross-country undercover.
“We’re married. Our coin is good, and we’re more than happy to take it elsewhere if you’ve got a problem.”
The man sniffed. “This is the only inn in town.”
Nikolai smiled, the effect dazzling their current opponent, and pulling a heavy eyeroll out of Alina as he leaned on the bar. “Please do not underestimate my wife’s willingness to camp under the stars out of sheer spite.”
Alina smiled as well, except the effect was more a baring of teeth than anything endearing. The innkeeper glanced at her before hurriedly returning his attention to Nikolai, the safer bet of the two of them. He swiped at the coins, grumbling about tourists as though anyone would be approaching the northern border of Racka for sightseeing.
“And a good day to you also, sir,” Nikolai said cheerily. He placed his hand on Alina’s lower back, and quickly removed it when she shot him a glare that very clearly stated don’t you dare steer me out of here like some kind of cattle.
They find the room, which was little more than a straw mattress and a chamberpot. Grudgingly, Alina had to admit that it was at least clean and neat.
“Should I request food?” Nikolai asks, throwing himself onto the mattress and tucking gloved hands behind his head. It has the effect of mussing his hair a little bit, and there’s a small chance that Alina’s thoughts start to wander. “Because you looked like you were about to eat that poor man.”
“That poor man was all too ready to judge me for taking a room with you.”
“I didn’t realise you cared so much about what idiots think, Alina.”
“I don’t.” She dropped onto the edge of the mattress, shoving at him until he shifted over for her. “But the next orphan travelling with a man to investigate her history might not have the luxury of a marriage to protect her.”
One of his arms abandoned his head, wrapping around her shoulders instead. Nikolai pulled her into his body, and she relished the heat of him as she slung one of her legs over his. Fingers traced a meandering path over his chest until she found his heart, flattening a palm over it.
“I’ll pass a decree,” he murmured. “‘Single female orphans seeking their past are to be venerated. Throw roses if possible’.”
“You’re a visionary.”
“It’s been said.” But he brushed a kiss over the top of her forehead, the soft touch a counterpoint to their banter.
Sleep rarely came easily to either of them, but there was something about being away from the palace that had made it a little more bearable lately. Enough that when Alina did wake up with the first rays of the sun, it was to find her husband still asleep.
It was a rare occasion, made that much more distinct by the way the lines of his face fell. There was no furrow between his brows, no tightness remaining in sleep. Alina’s fingers twitched with the urge to brush his hair back off his forehead to get a better look, but she didn’t want to wake him. Her throat scratched with the need for water; she swallowed the mild discomfort down and just watched, listening to the peaceful whistle of his breathing.
It was impossible to say how much time passed before one hazel eye cracked open. She felt the shift in his body, the brief tension before he remembered where they were and why the mattress was mildly itchy. It ran out of him like water, and he let the eye slide shut again.
“That’s very creepy behaviour, you know. I’m feeling a little stalked.”
“I don’t know why you think that gives you the right to watch me while I sleep, Mrs Lantsov.”
Alina, who had woken up more often than not to his gaze on her, didn’t bother with a response. Or at least, not a verbal one, instead giving into the urge to card her fingers through his hair now that he was awake. His lips twitched up, eyes still closed, content to let her do as she willed.
“Are you going to cut off a lock to keep in a necklace?”
“Shut up, Nikolai,” she sighed, and then did the work for him, lips easing softly over his.
He shifted on the mattress, rolling his body towards her. One strong arm wrapped around her waist, and she breathed in sharply through her nose as he tugged her flush against him. His teeth teased her bottom lip before abandoning her mouth all together, pressing kisses to the corner of her mouth, her jaw, that one spot behind her ear.
Alina’s fingers tightened in his hair, rolling her neck to one side to give him a better angle. “Have I mentioned lately that you’re terrible?”

So I'm writing a story about a vampire and a human couple, but I'm not quite sure how to introduce them to one another. Any ideas?
As I’ve mentioned with other asks about characters meeting, there are many different ways you could go here and they don’t have to be anything special, it depends on what you’re going for in the scene and for the characters. You could have a totally normal introduction like where they meet in line at the grocery store or share a class, or you could go the other way and have something that is super specific to your characters (since this obviously depends on your characters I can’t give examples). A piece of advice would be to think about what would make for a likely introduction that goes beyond the fact that they are human and vampire. Here are some completely random examples:
The human loves bird watching and is out in the forest one day when they discover a cave and decide to venture in. Cue a sleeping vampire cuddled up with some bats.
The vampire is trying to do a cross country road trip, travelling at night of course, but gravely miscalculated the distance from one motel stop to the other and now the sun is close to coming up and oops, they know this human’s random BnB is full right now but like they will pay anything to just sit in the living or something…please.
The vampire doesn’t know they are a vampire and is seeking medical help from their GP or alternatively their roommate’s sibling who is in med school.
The human has read way too many vampire stories and is worried they may actually be one so they go to a vampire support group where they meet an actual vampire.
So again, these may not work because they are specific to what’s going on with the characters and the plot but that’s the kind of idea you want to work towards :)

Hello all you beautiful people! Just wanted to share that I have officially graduated UCF with my B.S in Health Science! My degree was approved just now and I’m excited to receive my diploma in the mail soon. Been waiting for this moment for quite some time and I’m very proud of myself.
The next move will be in about 3 weeks time. I’m home on the beach right now in florida, prepping for my cross country travel. Yep! Something I’ve wanted to do since I started going out to California was to make the drive from florida to California and it’s happening in 3 weeks :) I’ll be working for JAMZ a professional cheer company. I worked for them last year as a rookie and fell in love with teaching summer camp, so I’ll be out there again traveling the state, surfing, lifting, meeting new people, and working as scheduled.
I’ll be active on here with pictures, videos, and stories of the trip/ experience. Very Excited to share this special time with all of you.
“When I was your age I was a known fugitive, travelling cross country and blowing things up to try and get away from my captur. I’m pretty sure you can figure out what 5 time 7 is.” ~Percy’s way of trying to tutor mortal kids. It’s very effective.
