Apple Crisps

The things you’ll need

Ingredients
  • 4-6 Gala or Fuji apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 4 ounces unsalted butter, cold and cut into small cubes
Equipment
  • Cutting board & knife
  • Small mixing bowl
  • Hand mixer
  • 6 ramekins
  • Baking tray
  • Rubber spatula
  • Scoop for topping

Let’s get started!

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  2. In a medium bowl, toss chopped apples in flour and then place into ramekins.
  3. In another medium bowl, combine sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.
  4. Use your hands to work in butter to create the crumble topping.
  5. Scatter the crumble over the apples and then place the ramekins on a baking tray.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.

It’s hard right now. I can’t stand social media, I can’t stand what they’re looking at. I can’t stand what they think is reality. Unfortunately, kids don’t care. They don’t care. They have to see something that’s going to scare them. They need to see something that’s frightening. I want them to understand it. I would do anything to be able to have a good influence on this generation but I definitely relate to everything that was going on.
