⤷ Description: As a young girl you dreamt of hearing the bells, the ones that signaled you had found your soulmate, the missing piece everyone was so desperate to find. After falling in love with Jimin you abandoned the search, hoping you would come to never hear the bells, preferring to continue your life with him uninterrupted. You’d soon come to learn the harshness of fate, and that it doesn’t care about your hopes, feelings, or you.

“How could you do this to me?” he asked as you met his eyes, a sob breaking through his body as he looked at you through tear filled eyes, the memories of you beginning to taint in his mind. You could almost feel the bitterness that he was starting to layer your memories with, times that were beautiful, so much more beautiful than this.

           “Jimin, please, I—

“You said I didn’t have to worry, you said you wouldn’t leave, you said—

“I said a lot of things I didn’t mean,” you whispered coldly, forcing your voice to be as calm as it could possibly be. If there was a time for you to be unemotional it needed to be now, for all three of your sakes.

“Don’t…don’t lie to my face and tell me what we had wasn’t real. Don’t pretend you’ll just forget about me when I’m gone,” he cried as he took a step closer to you, extending his arm out. You backed away just as he was about to touch you, knowing that if he did you’d break, break as much as you were breaking him.

You fought back tears as you looked at his face for what you hoped would be the very last time, knowing that even if you tried to forget, his expression would forever be etched into your memory.

           “Goodbye, Jimin.”

The pennycandystore beyond the El
is where I first
                fell in love
                            with unreality
Jellybeans glowed in the semi-gloom
of that september afternoon
A cat upon the counter moved among
                          the licorice sticks
               and tootsie rolls
       and Oh Boy Gum

Outside the leaves were falling as they died

A wind had blown away the sun

A girl ran in
Her hair was rainy
Her breasts were breathless in the little room

Outside the leaves were falling

Today in Middle-Earth: Frodo, Sam and Gollum pass the Cross Roads on the way to Minas Morgul (March 10th, 3019 T.A.)

Suddenly, caught by the level beams, Frodo saw the old king’s head: it was lying rolled away by the roadside. ‘Look, Sam!’ he cried, startled into speech. ’Look! The king has got a crown again!'

The eyes were hollow and the carven beard was broken, but about the high stern forehead there was a coronal of silver and gold. A trailing plant with flowers like small white stars had bound itself across the brows as if in reverence for the fallen king, and in the crevices of his stony hair yellow stonecrop gleamed.

'They cannot conquer for ever!’ said Frodo. And then suddenly the brief glimpse was gone. The Sun dipped and vanished, and as if at the shuttering of a lamp, black night fell.

The mornings upstate were always so beautiful, especially the sunrises. Thomas would sneak out of the Schuyler’s summer home and go to his little hideout he went to when he wanted to be alone. From the rock he sat on, he would witness the most beautiful sunrises he’d ever seen. They were even more fantastic than the ones he saw from the bay window in Monticello.

Puppy? - Solangelo

“But Nico!” Will Solace whined to his boyfriend of two years, Nico Di Angelo. The two of them were sitting across from each other on Nico’s bed in the empty Hades cabin. The blonde was hounding the son of Hades for a puppy - something he did more often than not - and he was pretty sure that he was close to getting what he wanted.

“If we get a puppy, we both know that you’re not going to take care of it.” Nico said bluntly, briefly glancing up from the novel he was currently reading to look at his boyfriend’s pleading blue eyes. Will’s jaw dropped comically wide as he jumped up on the bed, pointing an accusing finger down at Nico.

“Take that back!” He gasped, knocking the thick novel from Nico’s hands with his foot. The book flew across the room and landed under one of the many vacant beds that lined the walls of the cabin. “I’m the son of Apollo, the God of healing! If I can take care of multiple patients at the same time, I’m pretty sure I can take care of a little puppy!”

Nico, glaring up at Will, raised an eyebrow. “You said the same thing when we got that goldfish a couple of months back, and do you remember what happened with that?” The younger boy paused to look over at his dark wood nightstand, which had a faint circular imprint of where their goldfish bowl used to sit. “Percy was heartbroken when we told him Captain Gills had passed.”
“Hey, he had a good run! Besides, it’s not like goldfish are supposed to last that long…”

“Good run? Will, we only had him for three days, two of which you forgot to feed him when you promised me that you would.”

Will pouted, dropping back down onto the bed in a cross-legged sitting position. “But that’s not fair, I had like, twenty thousand patients to take care of that week and hardly any breaks! Actually, that reminds me, we need to set a rule against Reyna participating in capture the flag when she comes down to visit… Have you seen her fight? That woman’s insane! And with that Athena’s cloak thingy? My Gods, she’s unstoppable…” Apollo’s son shook his head, realizing that he was going off track. “Anyways, I promise I’ll take care of it this time, and I’ll walk it and wash it and it’ll give us more of an excuse to be together and I know you’ll love it… For me? Please, babe?”

Nico blushed at the nickname, his olive skin heating up to a warm, rosy pink that Will was proud to call his favorite shade of any colour ever. Even though his boyfriend often called him affectionate pet names like “baby” or “sunshine”, he still wasn’t - and probably never would be - used to such names aimed at him. “Will,” Nico started, but before he could deny his boyfriend any further, the blonde crawled across the bed and over to him, his large hand falling on Nico’s leg once it came into reach.
“C’mon, I know you want one too… I’ll even let you choose the name.” Will purred. He crawled forward until he was hovering over Nico, the younger boy’s dark eyes wide and surprised as they stared up at him.

Nico could hardly find his voice, his boyfriend’s comfortable but unusual proximity making a lump the size of Olympus form in his throat. “Who’ll even take care of it? We’re both pretty busy, and-”
Nico was cut off by the feeling of Will’s unbelievably soft lips pressing down against the corner of his own, and could feel his wall of resistance begin to crumble as his boyfriend continued to brush kisses anywhere but his mouth. This continued for a couple of moments, and although Nico wasn’t exactly always comfortable with kissing sessions with Will and was a blushing and nervous mess half the time, he didn’t like it when Will teased him. And by the smirk he would catch on Will’s lips when he’d momentarily pull away, the older boy knew exactly what he was doing to Nico.

“Will,” Nico groaned, his hands raising to Will’s cheek in attempts to force their lips together. Will resisted, instead nuzzling his face into the crook of Nico’s neck and kissing the sensitive skin of his collarbone.

“Nuh-uh. No kisses for you…” Will teased, and even though Nico could no longer see his face, he could tell that Will was still smirking.  “Unless you say yes to a puppy.”

Nico glared down at the blonde head tucked in between his shoulder and neck before rolling his eyes. “Fine. We can get a puppy.” He muttered, watching as Will lifted his head, his lips already pulled into a giddy smile that crinkled the corners of his eyes in the best of ways.

“Yes!” Will exclaimed, hands shooting forward to seize Nico’s cheeks and slam their lips together. The dark-haired boy squeaked in surprise, his arms flailing around until Will pulled away. Nico couldn’t help but smile at the childlike happiness that lit up his boyfriend’s sun-kissed face. “Thank you, thank you, thank you! I love you so much!” Will cried, his smile seeming to grow wider by the second.  “Now, we need to start thinking about this immediately!  We’ll have to get some supplies as soon as possible, you know the usuals - a dog bed, food and water bowls, a leash, some dog food, whatever else we need for a dog - but we’ll probably have to talk to Chiron first and hope he’ll say yes, but if he doesn’t we can just ask Piper to use her charmspe-”

Nico groaned, dragging his hand down the side of his face. “Oh Gods, what have I gotten myself into this time?”

Will giggled - a sound that sent skeletal butterflies into a flurry in Nico’s tummy. “Something that’ll make me the happiest boyfriend in the whole wide world?” He tried, but Nico just rolled his dark eyes, exasperated sigh blowing from his freshly-kissed lips.

“Whatever you say, uh” Nico bit his lip, debating whether he should say what he wanted to. “Babe.” He said hesitantly, but the little breathless laugh Will made at the nickname assured Nico once again that pet names were okay between the two of them.
“You called me-”
Nico waved his hand, cutting Will off before the older boy could make a big deal out of the rare name. “Nevermind that. Now would you get me my book back? I’d appreciate it not getting all dusty and gross under that bed.”

Will’s excited eyes softened, his lips pecking Nico’s quickly before he hopped off of the bed to retrieve the almost-forgotten novel. Nico watched as Will bent over to grab his book, but just as the older boy was standing up, he caught Nico’s eyes.
“Like what you see?” Will wiggled his eyebrows, shaking his hips jokingly. Nico’s face heated up once again.

“Just give me my book - if I’m not finished in two days, Annabeth’ll probably send the wrath of Athena upon me.”

Will chuckled, tossing the book at his boyfriend - who hardly caught the thick hardcover - before bouncing back onto the bed.

Nico resumed his reading, but couldn’t stop the involuntary grin that his lips pulled into when Will began to sing “I’m getting a puppy, I’m getting a puppy” under his breath, because the secret was, the son of Hades really wanted a puppy too. Not that he’d ever admit that to Will.

A Thousand Lives

August 1469

Rosalinda hated thunderstorms. She felt unsafe in the wilderness, when the thunder clouds came rolling in and the thunder rumbling in the background. The feeling of running away from a storm was impossible, even if you were in your own home.

That night, She begged and cried for the storm to pass. To let the howling wind blow off the roof of her familia’s cottage. She couldn’t hear her cries of pain as the storm inside her stir. But she wished for this to end. Once the storm passed, she looked at her mother, beautiful with chocolate eyes and sun kissed hair, graced by the angels. “Mama?” Her mother’s smile lit up the dark room “Un niña, Rosa.”

But as soon Rosa opened her arms; her father came rushing in, taking the newborn in his strong arms. He was built like an Ox, dark hair with water eyes. “Papa!” Rosa cried out, demanding to see her daughter as she wailed for her mother’s touch. But she knew why her father declined for Rosa to meet her daughter.

She committed a deadly sin.

Rosalinda started to curse at her father, demanding him to stop before her mother dove in to catch her daughter, consulting Rosalinda in her mother’s arms. That was the last time she saw her mother and father.

When you walked out the door, the nice crisp winter air bit you in the nose as you wrapped your scarf tighter against your face. The sun shining down made it all the better. You decided to take the bus to work rather than drive. It was better than being stuck in traffic and wasting gas. Taking in the beautiful sight of the nice city view, you locked your door as you made your way towards the bus stop, a few blocks away.

All was well until you heard the low rumbling from the sky. Your heart immediately dropped and the smile you wore faded as your worried eyes glanced up. Dark, murky grey clouds rolled towards the city as it quickly devoured the sun, making you groan in frustration. You looked back at your house, which was too far away to make out, deciding you could make it to the covered bus stop before it pours. You were just too lazy to go back and grab an umbrella.

It was a mistake.

Have I entered an alternate universe or did you really just crack a smile for me? With natling;) or I'm pregnant with natling

Nathan has a hard time figuring out what the hell kind of face Sterling is making before he realizes that it’s a smile. It’s so foreign, so unheard of, so goddamn rare, that the sight of it doesn’t even register at first.

When the realization hits him, his heart skips a beat. Hard.

“Have I entered an alternate universe, or did you really just crack a smile for me?” Nathan asks, grasping for anything that might tell him this isn’t some whacked out dream he’s having in the middle of his study hall period.

Sterling rolls his eyes, the smile disappearing. “I didn’t if you’re going to be weird and nerdy about it.”

“Look, I’m just in a state of disbelief, man,” Nathan shrugs, turning his eyes away to stare down into the silver opening of his energy drink. “Can’t blame me. You’re moody.”

“I smile plenty,” Sterling insists, making a face as Nathan raises his can and tips it back to take a swig.

“Lies!” Nathan cries out as he swallows the drink. He grins at Sterling, leaning over the picnic table, a breeze kissing his sun-browned face nicely. “I’m not leaving you alone until you smile at me again.”

“I’m not smiling.”

“Guess you’re stuck with me then.”

The Chosen

I watched the storm raging outside my window, the flashes of lightening illuminated the dark sky, the rumble of thunder sounded ominous. I wrapped my arms around myself, thinking the night’s weather fit my mood, another heartache.

My boyfriend of the last six months had broken it off with me, telling me that he’d found someone else. I’d decided that maybe I wasn’t suppose to find love, that maybe I wasn’t worthy.

I moved away from the window, going to the kitchen, poring myself a glass of wine. Sitting at the bar in the kitchen, there was another flash of lightening, and a rumble of thunder so loud and strong the windows in my house shook.

The lights flickered and then faded out, sitting in the dark, I let out a groan. “Just when I thought, things couldn’t get any worse!” Moving around the kitchen I found a flashlight.

Taking my glass, I moved to the living room, letting out a startled scream when I saw a form of a man standing in the dark. He slowly turned around, a gentle smile appearing on his face. “Don’t be afraid (Y/N), I’m Castiel, an Angel of the Lord. You’ve been chosen..”

“Look buddy I’ll give you all the money I have, if you promise to leave and not hurt me.”

“I’m not hear to hurt you (Y/N), you’ve been chosen” His wings appeared behind him, that’s the last thing I remembered seeing.

Wonho X Reader

“Isn’t it sweet!” The young nurse whispered to her co worker as the handsome man walked past their counter and down the corridor.

“Everyday at 3 he comes by to visit her! Even though she has no idea who he is and refuses to talk to him, he still comes and sits by her bedside, telling her stories and–”

“Everyday she tells him to leave and to not come again, yada yada I already know.” The older nurse told the younger. “Why are you so interested in their lives?”

“Because it’s tragic!” She responded not letting herself be deterred. “Imagine losing your memory but your love never letting you go! It sounds like a novel!”

Wonho could hear the gossip of the two ladies as he passed, but he tried to pretend that he couldn’t. It was tragic wasn’t? Him thinking that maybe if you saw him everyday your memory would restore and everything would go back to normal.

But what if this was the new normal?

Would he able to accept it? He asked himself, already knowing the answer.

He couldn’t lose you. He refused to. No matter how many times you turned away or closed your eyes, he wanted to make sure that he would be there when your mind came back, and nothing else was more important.

So this wasn’t tragic. It was just the third day, of the fourth week that he hadn’t let you go.

“Y/N?” He said softly as he knocked on your door. “Are you awake?”

Your deep sigh of frustration answered his question and he came meekly to sit by your side.

“What is it this time?” You prodded, already annoyed.

“What story are you going to tell me? What little picture are you going to magically produce out of your pocket? How many minutes will you last before you finally leave me alone?!” You asked, your voice elevating and breaking slightly.

You hated this.

You hated that your mind was a scrambled mess of loose ends and blurry edges.

You hated that hopeful look on his face that was begging for you to fix yourself.

Like you hadn’t already tried.

Like you weren’t still trying.

It wasn’t fair.

Wonho broke through your thoughts and you were confused as he shook his head and leaned back in the tiny hospital chair.

“I’m not going to sing a song and I’m not going to show you any pictures.”

He fell silent and watched you closely. His scrutinizing stare made you feel uncomfortable and you became all to aware of your present situation. Had you showered yet today? Brushed your teeth? You had gotten mad when your mom had busted into tears again and threw her out before she could help you out of bed to do your daily hygiene. You were to proud to utilize the nurses. They were nothing but a bunch of gossips anyway. Frittering around corners and shooting meaningful glances to each other right over you. Your brain was a little confused, true. But you could still hear and see. Something those dumb nurses couldn’t seem to comprehend.

Another minute passed and Wonho continued to stare at you with those beautiful eyes.

“I’ve got some advice for you kid” You spoke suddenly, hoping it would break the power of the gaze that he was wielding.

It didn’t work.

“What?” He asked still watching, but cocking his head to one side with interest.

“You’re a good looking guy, and I know you know that. Why don’t you go find a pretty girl out there with stars in her eyes, and do everything for her that you’re doing for me.”

“A girl…with stars in her eyes?” He repeated.

“Yeah” Gee was he deaf too? You wondered internally. “A pretty girl with stars.”

“I knew a pretty girl” He said softly. “A girl who wanted more than the stars and dreamed of the sky. She was light as air, and radiated warmth. She was feisty and strong, always wanting to show her independence. She knew how to change a tire, but would call me over to change a light bulb just because it was a waste of her time. She thought that this town was too small and wanted to see the world. I promised her we would sail the seven seas and be back by lunch.”

He choked up a little then and you tried to interrupt but he brushed you off and continued on.

“..She knew all the secrets of the universe and I trusted her completely. A moment with her would leave me breathless, and more alive than I knew was earthly possible. She was different. She was more. She cried when no one was looking because her dad was gone, but to all who knew her, she was the rock of her family, never letting her mother down.”

His words were making you feel anxious. The pure emotion injected into them by him was making you look away. You didn’t know who he was describing. But she sounded familiar. She sounded like someone you once knew.

“And when she kissed me….The birds hung suspended in the air. The clouds rolled back, fading away, and the sun itself descended onto our lips, bathing us both in the pure joy of loving and being loved.”

He leaned forward in his seat and grabbed your hand, and you turned your head back to face him.

“She was my only. And I miss her. I miss her so damn much.”

With that the tears he had been holding back ran freely down his cheeks and his shoulders began to strain under the weight of his invisible burden.

“I’m sorry” He whispered, laying his head down on your side. “You always saved me yet I wasn’t there to save you.”

The room was quiet as he cried beside you. Even the various buttons and levers seemed to lessen in sound and brightness. You didn’t know what to do and awkwardly pulled your hand out of his grip and began to stroke the back of his head.

He shot up and his hopeful eyes bore into you once more.

“Do you remember?” He asked, voice filled with desperation.

You offered him a regretful smile but shook you head. “That was beautiful, but I don’t know that person.”

He sighed and sat back in the tiny chair again, looking at the ceiling and sucking back in his tears.

“Okay how about if–”

Wonho’s words were cut off by the sudden appearance of a man in the doorway.

Wonho didn’t recognize him, but he felt a sense of darkness and unease.

“Y/N” The man called out as he made his way deeper into the room. “I came as soon as I found out! I lost your number and it took me forever to find the directions, but I made it! I’m here!” He continued brushing past Wonho and standing close to the bed.

“Junior?!” You screamed in excitement “Are you really here?!!”

“Woah, woah, woah” He chuckled. Stretching a hand out and caressing your face lovingly. “I haven’t heard that name in years. It’s Jinyoung, just like when we were young.”

Wonho watched in terror as Jinyoung leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on your lips.

His stomach flipped more as he watched you reach up and pull the stranger down by the neck, kissing him harder.

When the kiss ended, Jinyoung smiled and looked back at Wonho  who quivered silently in shock and anger.

“Who’s the pretty boy?” Jinyoung asked, his voice mocking and rude.

“Um..” You started. “I don’t actually kno–”

“I’m Wonho!” He said tightly. “I’m her boyfriend.”

Jinyoung gave him a pitying glance and a “tsk tsk tsk” emitted from his throat. “Ah that’s where you must be mistaken Wahwoe. I’m Y/N’s boyfriend and we’ve dated for the last 5 years.”

Bells and alarms began to sound off in Wonho’s head. He knew this dude! This was the creep that Y/N had dated before they had gotten together. She had said that he had been obsessed with her and hadn’t taken their break up lightly. There was no way he was going to let this reject idol look-alike steal his precious girl.

Especially not when he was this close to a miracle.

“Look here you pervert freak!! You can’t just walk in here and start kissin–”

“Leave Wonho!” You told him, desperate for the madness to end “Just go!”

“ But Y/N he’s not you–”

“You heard the lady” Jinyoung interjected, cutting Wonho off. “Leave.”

You screamed out in panic as Wonho hollered and charged Jinyoung, knocking him down to the floor and reigning down blows, which Jinyoung dodged throwing in his own.

What.

Was.

Going.

Summary: After selling his soul in exchange for immortality, Jeremy’s been alone for decades. When he hears about a gang of criminals who are like him, he leaps at the chance to join them.

But integrating into the Fake AH Crew is harder than he expects. Faced with tangled relationships, ongoing tensions, and a group chat filled with a ridiculous amount of drama, things only get even more complicated when a fight between Michael and Gavin goes too far and Jeremy finds himself caught in the middle of a feud with far too much history behind it.

Part 1  Part 2  AO3

Gavin’s floating face-down in the swimming pool. From this angle, it almost looks like he’s drowned, but Jeremy knows he’s resting on a paddleboard.

There’s something so tranquil about this place. The isolated island, lined by stretches of thick jungle and empty beaches - the big cabin house that Jack built. The noise and bustle of the city long behind them - just the gentle lap of ocean waves and the trill of cicadas lingering in the warm tropical air.

Gavin’s alone down there. From up on one of the cabin balconies, Jeremy can’t see his face. Just the bare, tan skin of his back against the bright turquoise water of the pool, the sun glinting off his skin and his hair - bottle blond again now - and his sparkly, gold bathing trunks.

His gaze lingers. He remembers what it felt like to kiss warm skin, to let his hand trail over the sharp ridges of Gavin’s spine, and swallows hard.

“Gav loves swimming,” a voice behind him says, and Jeremy jumps a mile before spinning guiltily around. Great, now he feels creepy.

Jack’s standing behind him, smiling softly. He’s holding a frozen orange, and passes half to Jeremy, who accepts it gratefully. It’s stupidly humid out here - summer’s set in and everywhere outdoors is just constantly warm.

“I remember him telling me about all the ‘swimmy bevs’ we’d do in the summer,” Jeremy says, and Jack laughs.

“We will,” he assures him. “Don’t worry, this will pass.”

“Doesn’t feel like it,” Jeremy mutters.

The soft sound of chirping birds could be heard through the paper thin walls of Goth’s bedroom. He tried to keep himself from waking up but failed when the sun glared through his ragged curtains and landed right on his eyes.

He stifled a groan and sat up, stretching his bony arms that shivered slightly due to sleeping in just his t-shirt and having to sleep on the hard floor with a sack full of plastic bags that he called a pillow.

Standing up slowly, he grabbed his hoodie that was draped on a rickety wooden stool. Goth put the hoodie on and felt instantly warmer and safer. The last thing he had to grab was his black pistol that was laying right next to his pillow, as it always does at night.

Goth isn’t usually scared of anything, but he can never shake the feeling that one of these days, one of his parents, most likely Death, would come in drunk as hell ready to kill him. He hopes that day will never come, but just to be safe he keeps the gun right next to him, always ready to shoot, ready to kill.

Goth shook his head trying to clear that thought as he scooped his pistol up and headed out the door. He did live alone, inside an old abandoned motel on the outskirts of the city, but he never really minded it. Geno doesn’t live far from him, and he barley sees Death around, so he chooses to live here out of all places. I mean after all, what better place can you get when you’re hiding in the shadows?

Walking through the parking lot of the motel, Goth sees a few other monsters that he recognized who lived in some of the rooms of the motel as well. He didn’t really want to talk to them though, they weren’t exactly a very trusting group, but you can’t trust anyone out on the streets anyway.

Sooner than later, Goth was back on the alleys of the city, hearing the bustling cars and footsteps of all the citizens out doing their own thing. He tried looking around to see if he could find some food in a garbage can, or maybe snag something from someone walking by, but he couldn’t find anything or one with food on them. He was about to walk out of the alleyway when he hear a familiar voice.

His voice.

“Bring it on! I can take you down any time, and any place!”

Goth hid behind the wall of the alley he was in and looked over toward the voice trying to stay hidden. He couldn’t believe it! It was the same asshole from the night he shot those birds. What was his name again? Wait, it was Palette! A light blush came to his cheeks remembering what happened, but he then shook his head again, he really wanted to forget that time and just stop blushing. His thoughts were cut off though when he saw who was with him.

“Stop talking shit! A runt like you could never take all of us on!”

There were 3 monsters towering over the form of Palette in the back of a gas station parking lot. One was a dog monster with wicked sharp teeth, and the other two were cat monsters who were the same size as the dog. They each had knives strapped to their waists and smirks on their faces as they came closer and closer to their target. They looked ready to kill Palette.

Goth gripped the side of the wall a bit as he watched them all getting ready to pounce on Palette. What was that idiot doing?! Why isn’t he running?! Goth’s hand, almost on instinct, went straight for his pistol and pulled it out, ready to shoot one of the monsters.

But, as Goth watched Palette, he became confused. He noticed that even though his hat was covering his eyes, his shoulders were moving slightly, and Goth could hear a faint chuckle from him. My god he was laughing! Is he insane?! Does he want to die?!

The dog monster was only a few inches in front of Palette and was about to bring his knife down on him, but before the knife touched Palette, he looked up at the monster, smirked, and sent his fist straight into the monsters jaw. In a flash, the monster was seen flying through the air then landing hard in the open trash bin of the gas stations trash. The other two monsters had their eyes wide open with surprise and fear as they looked back at Palette. Goth’s mouth was agape as well, seeing how strong Palette really was.

With a wide smirk still on his face, Palette raised his fists towards the other monsters in a fighting stance.

“Now which one of you are next huh?”

In an instant, both of the cat monsters turned and ran with their tails between their legs. The monster in the trash bin climbed out slowly and ran after them, whimpering and covering an obvious black and very swollen eye. Palette began to laugh as he watched them run.

“Yeah keep running ya chumps! I hope ya learned your lesson!”

Goth stood in his hiding place feeling very impressed. Palette was obviously a very confident monster, who definitely shouldn’t be taken lightly. Goth turned and was about to walk away until he heard him again.

“So, did you like what you saw, sweetheart?~”

He jumped slightly realizing that he had been caught watching. Goth turned towards him slowly and saw that Palette was smirking again, showing off the fangs he had. Did he know that he was there the whole time? Goth blushes lightly again then scoffed and turned away trying to hide it.

“Keh, hardly. You just got lucky with that one hit”

Goth heard him chuckle again then saw that he began to take a few steps towards him.

“Aww, were you scared that I’d get hurt? That’s so sweet of you~”

Goth felt the blush on his cheeks get brighter as he took a few steps away from the skeleton coming towards him.

“W-What?! No! I-I don’t care if you get hurt! I just….I-I just…”

Goth mentally cursed himself for not being able to think of anything to say. Suddenly, Palette was right in front of him, lifting his chin up the same way he did the night they met.

“You don’t have to be shy with me Gothy, even though it’s adorable when you are~”

Goth could do nothing, feeling frozen in place and not being able to trust his voice with the skeleton being so close to him.

A low grumble broke the moment as Goth placed his hand over where his stomach would be, if he had one. Palette chucked softly looking at him.

“You hungry? I have food over at my place, I can feed you”

Before Goth could protest, his stomach went off again and he couldn’t ignore its cries for food anymore. Feeling defeated Goth rolled his eyes then crossed his arms looking away from Palette.

“Fine, it’s not like I have anything better to do”

Palette just smiled and wrapped his arm around Goth pulling him close.

“Alright! Let’s get going then!”

Palette began to walk away with his arm still around Goth, ignoring his protests to get his arm off of him or to stop walking so fast. Goth just sighed and gave up on his protesting and followed Palette to wherever he was going.

Maybe next time, he’ll just sleep in and ignore the sun.

(Wow, this was a lot longer than I meant it to be, but oh well! I just wanted to make a second part of the fanfic that I made because, well, why not?
I hope you all like it!)

“Behind you!”

Garnet swatted away the Cirtine lunging towards her. Her gauntlet caught her attacker in the jaw with a loud crack, and Citrine disappeared in a puff of smoke. Garnet called out a thanks as Pearl’s form flashed past her.

She barely had time to pause when another gem - Tanzanite, she decided - came at her.Tanzanite slammed into her back and knocked her to the ground. Garnet drove upwards, but her attacker only wrapped her arms around her neck and fell backwards, dragging Garnet onto her back. She twisted, trying to break the gem’s grip just as she began to choke her. Garnet slammed her head back into Tanzanite’s face, dangerously close to her Gem. She cried out and released her, and Garnet rolled away.

Lord of the Rings Reread: Journey To The Cross-roads

Standing there for a moment filled with dread Frodo became aware that a light was shining; he saw it glowing on Sam’s face beside him. Turning towards it, he saw, beyond an arch of boughs, the road to Osgiliath running almost as straight as a stretched ribbon down, down, into the West. There, far away, beyond sad Gondor now overwhelmed in shade, the Sun was sinking, finding at last the hem of the great slow-rolling pall of cloud, and falling in an ominous fire towards the yet unsullied Sea. The brief glow fell upon a huge sitting figure, still and solemn as the great stone kings of Argonath. The years had gnawed it, and violent hands had maimed it. Its head was gone, and in its place was set in mockery a round rough-hewn stone, rudely painted by savage hands in the likeness of a grinning face with one large red eye in the midst of its forehead. Upon its knees and mighty chair, and all about the pedestal, were idle scrawls mixed with the foul symbols that the maggot-folk of Mordor used.

Suddenly, caught by the level beams, Frodo saw the old king’s head: it was lying rolled away by the roadside. “Look, Sam!” he cried, startled into speech. “Look! The king has got a crown again!”

“They cannot conquer for ever!” said Frodo. And then suddenly the brief glimpse was gone. The Sun dipped and vanished, and as if at the shuttering of a lamp, black night fell.

Father’s Day // Nate Maloley

Hey guys! I hope you enjoy this special Father’s day imagine ;D Also, I was wondering if you guys want me to start writing a fanfic? Or just do imagines? I would still be doing imagines too and maybe just have a certain day to upload the fanfic chapters?? Lemme know what you guys think<3

I woke up to the bright sun shining in through the open curtains. I rolled over and saw that the other side of the bed was empty, which meant Nate was already up. I opened my phone and looked at the date, realizing it was father’s day. I sighed as a tear slid my cheek. I wiped I away with my sleeve. I stood up and trudged to the bathroom and washed my face as I cried again.

“Stop crying,” I whispered to myself as I pulled myself and trudged down the stairs. I saw Nate in the kitchen and he turned around to see me.

“Hey baby,” he smiled as he walked over and pulled me into a hug.

“Good morning,” I said, my voice cracking slightly.

“You okay? Were you crying?” he asked.

“Uh, yeah,” I said honestly, not wanting to lie to him because I knew he’d figure it out eventually.

“How come?” he asked.

“Just thinking about my dad,” I sighed.

“Oh baby,” he mumbled as he hugged me again.

“It’s just hard, I replay that day in my mind over and over,” I mumbled.

“I know it’s hard, but you’ll be okay. You’re a strong girl, he’s a total dick and you do not deserve him even though it’s hard. I’m here for you no matter what,” he said.

“I know, thank you,” I smiled widely.

“I love you,” he grinned.

“I love you way more, you’re a better dad than he ever was,” I said.

“Don’t flatter me,” he smirked.

“Not flattering,” I winked. I heard feet come bustling down the stairs and I turned to see our daughter come running. I picked her up in my arms and kissed her forehead.

“Good morning princess,” I smiled.

“Good morning mama,” she giggled.

“Daddy made you breakfast,” I smiled as she sat in her chair and began eating. I sat down next to Nate and we all ate together. Nate had his hand on my thigh, comforting me because he knew I wasn’t feeling too amazing right now.

“Wait! I have to go to my room!” Autumn screeched as she jumped down and sprinted upstairs. She came back down and handed Nate a card.

“Did you make that at school?” I asked her. She nodded enthusiastically and Nate opened it. I leaned on his shoulder so I could read it too and couldn’t help but smile at the writing along with her little drawing of the three of us at the bottom of the page.

“Thank you princess,” Nate said as he leaned across the table and kissed her cheek.

“I love you daddy,” she smiled.

“I love you too baby girl,” he said. After we all finished eating I began washing the dishes while Autumn dragged Nate to her room. I finished cleaning up and walked quietly up the stairs as I peeked in and saw them both on the floor, with barbies in their hands and spread across the floor. I smiled at the sight and took out my phone to capture the moment. I posted it on Instagram with the caption “Walked in on these two! Happy father’s day everyone<3″ I locked my phone and opened the door slightly.

“What are you two up to?” I smiled.

“We’re playing with barbies,” Autumn smiled widely.

“Can I join?” I asked.

“Yeah yeah yeah!” she squealed. I laughed as I sat down with them and she took a few minutes to decided which barbie I needed to be. We began playing around and eventually she decided she didn’t want to anymore. We all put our stuff away and she took both our hands and went downstairs.

“Can we go to the park?” she asked.

“Of course,” I smiled. I helped her get on her sandals and we began walking to the park, the three of us hand in hand. When we got there she went straight for the swings and Nate went over to her, lifting her in. He began to push her as her loud and melodic laughter filled the air, making me smile. She was the best thing that ever happened to us and I was so proud to call her ours. She had dimples just like Nate that appeared whenever she laughed or smiled. I looked up at the sky, remembering the day my dad walked out on us. I remember blaming myself and crying because my dad didn’t love me or want anything to do with me after all this time. It hurt, and it still hurts. It made me glad to know that Autumn would never have to deal with that same heartbreak in her life because she is everything to Nate.

“Mommy come!” she said. I smiled as I stood up and walked over to her and Nate and sat on a swing as well. Nate walked over to me.

“You okay?” he asked lowly.

“Yeah I’m fine,” I smiled up at him.

“Okay,” he said as he kissed my forehead. It began raining and we started to walk home. Autumn was on Nate’s shoulders, holding his large hands in her tiny ones, a permanent smile on her face. One thing I love most about her is that she’s always smiling and always enjoying every single moment. She’s so happy to be alive and her happiness rubs off on everyone around her. She has an award winning smile just like her dad. It began to rain harder.

“Daddy we need to run!” she screamed. We began running through the pouring rain. We barged through the door and laughed as we caught our breath.

“Time for you to get changed my love,” I laughed as I changed Autumb into her pyjamas, me doing the same thing, as well as Nate.

“What do you want for dinner darling?” I asked her as we walked downstairs.

“Chinese food!” she yelled.

“Alright,” I laughed as I picked up the phone and ordered the food. The three of us cuddled on the couch and watched movies while eating chinese food until I heard light snores coming from beside me. I turned and saw Autumn, her head on Nate’s chest, sleeping soundly.

“I’ll go put her to bed,” he whispered as he picked her up and walked upstairs with her to tuck her in. After a few minutes Nate came down and took my hand, leading me up the stairs. He opened the bathroom door and I saw a bubble bath running.

“Aw babe,” I cooed.

“I feel like you need to relax,” he said. We stripped down and climbed in and I leaned against his chest as he ran his hands lightly through my hair.

“Tell me about your dad, let it out, only if you want to though,” he said.

“Well he basically just walked out, said he wanted nothing to do with us any more. There was absolutely no warning. But at this point I’m more pissed than I am sad. I can’t believe he just stopped caring and I wish he could say how I am now because I’m so happy and doing so well and he’s not around to see,” I shrugged.

“You know I’ll never ever do that to you and Autumn right?” he asked.

“Of course,” I smiled.

“You really didn’t deserve to go through that, no one does,” he said.

“Well what can I do? He’s a dick and I don’t care about him,” I said.

“Yeah he’s a huge dick,” Nate added which made me giggle.

We spent a few hours talking in the bath and then put on our pyjamas and cuddled in bed, falling asleep after a very good and relaxing day that was much needed for all of us.
