The other day I mentioned how when I would play a new Nancy Drew game as a kid I would become so interested in whatever it was about that I would totally immerse myself in it by doing extra research on the various subjects once the game was over. I’m not sure if this was something everyone else did too but I thought it’d be fun to make a resource post about it. (All links are for videos)
This small lidded wooden cup fits in the palm of a creatures hand. As a bonus action, a creature can remove the lid of the cup to expose smelling salts. The color of the salts can be determined by a d% roll.
[d%1-50]WHITE/CLEAR: Rarity: Rare These salts calm emotions and center the mind. A creature who uses this item cannot be charmed or frightened, has advantage on all Wisdom ability checks and saving throws, and has resistance to psychic damage. The creature cannot be affected by spells or abilities that would cause it to become charmed or frightened. This effect lasts for one minute. [d%51-89]GREEN/BLUE: Rarity: Uncommon These salts purify the body. A creature who uses this item is no longer affected by status conditions, and cannot be the target of status conditions for the duration of the item’s effect. This effect lasts for one minute. Any status conditions lost when using this item do not return after the minute duration. [d%90-100]]RED/ORANGE: Rarity: Very Rare These salts conjure a vision of war and conquest. A creature who uses this item becomes ‘enraged’, and functions as the Barbarian ‘Rage’ feature. The creature also gains proficiency with martial weapons, and can make two attack rolls every round. This effect lasts for one minute.
