Happy International Women’s Day 2015! (Insp.)

The Irish clan arrived first, and they were surprisingly easy to convince.

Siobhan—a woman of immense presence whose huge body was both beautiful and mesmerizing as it moved in smooth undulations—was the leader, but she and her hard-faced mate, Liam, were long used to trusting the judgment of their newest coven member. Little Maggie, with her bouncy red curls, was not physically imposing like the other two, but she had a gift for knowing when she was being lied to, and her verdicts were never contested.

hi. could you explain to me why is the show called orphan black? because i didn't understand it yet.

the show’s title is explained in a scene between mrs. s and sarah in 1x08 (gifset here). ‘orphans in the black’ are undocumented children that are kept outside of the state system (whether it be the adoption system or the foster system). its primarily referring to sarah because she was an orphan hidden away, in this case, because project leda was after her. and they explain the title again in season 2 when mrs. s is talking to carlton and says: twenty years ago, you brought an orphan to my door. “put her in the black,” you said. “as black as it gets.” hope that helps :)
