Celebs celebrate creativity before White House dinner

Stars traded out Hollywood for “Poli-wood” a night early in the name of creativity. A-listers are in town for the annual White House Correspondent’s Dinner Saturday night, but they got the party started early Friday with the Creative Coalition dinner at Georgetown’s Neyla, hosted by the non-profit and Lanmark Technology Inc.

Sharon Stone, Tracy Morgan, Sam Trammell, Kevin McHale, Giancarlo Esposito, Tim Daly, Patricia Arquette, Leslie David Baker, Josh Radnor and Beth Behrs were among celebrity guests advocating the importance of funding for the arts.

Kevin McHale, who plays singer Artie on Glee, was just elated his Fox show was just picked up for two more seasons. “The most surprising thing is how the show’s been through so much and has gained so much popularity, but nobody’s changed,” he said. “I don’t know what I’ll do when it’s over, if I’m working I’ll be happy. TV, film, music, dance, I love it all.”
