If you guys want a great glute/hamstring/quad burn, try this combo! I’ve been dealing with some lower back issues that make squatting and deadlifting difficult right now, so I got creative and found something really efffective.
Grab a kettle bell or dumbbell (or just use your bodyweight) and perform a single leg deadlift, then immediately step back into a reverse lunge. Try not to rest your foot on the floor as you transition, though that would be a good start for beginners!
This challenges your core stability, balance, glute activation (including the often forgotten glute med), and some quad work too.
