Evan just wanted to spend a day with his friends. He just
wanted to sit down, maybe watch some movies, and just hang out. Instead, he is
sitting in the back seat of Connor’s car, clinging onto Jared’s arm. The poor
boy is shaking in his seat, and continuously toying with his shirt. He would
occasionally run a hand through his hair, trying to get himself to calm down.
It didn’t work.
“Evan, if you don’t let go I am going to lose my fucking
arm.” Jared mumbled, shaking his arm.
“Wh-what? Am I really holding on that tightly?” Evan
spluttered, quickly letting go of Jared’s arm.
“Jared, let him cling, he deserves it.” You say, turning in
your seat to glare at Jared, who just rolled his eyes.
“Fine.” Jared said, holding out his arm. “Go nuts, Hansen.
Just… Try not to cause a blood clot, alright? I kind of need my arm.”
Evan grasps Jared’s arm, grasping it not as tightly. He
smiles at you and for moment, he seems a little less stressed. A little.
You turned your attention next to you, towards Connor. His
window was down, which allowed his hair to flow freely, and occasionally fall
in front of his face. His eyes were focused on the road, and his eyebrows would
furrow in concentration (or maybe in slight irritation). To say that he was
beautiful like this would be an understatement.
You fell for the boy hard.
Even if everyone thought you were smitten for Evan, that was far from the
truth. Sure, you might shamelessly flirt with the tree lover occasionally, but
it was all in good fun. Evan knew this, and he was okay with it. You were even
sure that Connor knew.
And now you sit here, watching his hair flow, and his eyes
reflecting the light of the sun.
“Hey, Y/N. Are you even paying attention?” A hand moved in
front of your face and snapped.
You turn your head towards to back of the car, and look at
Jared. “Sorry, what?”
Jared smirked and began snickering. “What? Were you staring
“What were you talking about, Jared?” You say, a bit
stricter. Its best if Connor didn’t realize you were staring.
Jared kept a smug grin, but dropped the subject. “Right…
What are we going to do after this? Should we stick Evan somewhere and see what
Evan froze up. “What- NO! No, please don’t do that.”
“What’s stopping us?” Jared said, his grin widening.
“I know where we could hide Evan if you really want to.” Connor added, glancing at the three of you.
You slap Connor’s shoulder. “Dude! Leave him alone! Besides,
I’m sure that your places suck and are obvious as hell.”
“I could show you after Evan’s appointment-“
“You are not p-putting me anywhere! I just want to get this
over with, please? And maybe we can all get ice cream or something?” Evan said,
rubbing his arm.
“Alright, fine… We’re here anyways.” Jared mumbles.
Connor parked the car, and the four of you get out. Evan
instantly grabbed you hand the moment you stepped next to him.
“Everything will be alright. We’ll be in the waiting room
when you get back.” You said, gently squeezing Evan’s hand.
You gently lead Evan into the doctor’s office, looking back
at the other two to make sure they were following.
Jared looked entertained, while Connor seemed agitated.
Maybe he was just tired.
While the three of you sat and waited, you rested your head
on Connor’s shoulder.
“If you weren’t so bony, you would be the best arm rest.”
You grumbled, poking Connor’s cheek.
He flinched slightly and looked over at you. “Why not lean
up against meme boy over there then?”
“Because he’s lame and won’t let me do that?”
Jared looked at you. “Who said I wouldn’t?”
“Oh hell no.”
It seemed like hours before the three of you could enter the
room that Evan was located. By that time, you fell asleep on Connor’s shoulder,
and clung to his arm.
Connor looked down at you. Your hair was pushed around, and
your mouth was slightly agape. He wasn’t sure if you were drooling on him or
not, but your gentle snores were adorable.
Jared looked over at the two of you, and carefully took out
his phone, taking a photo. “Wow, you are even more stalker like than L/N.”
Connor only glared at Jared, turning his attention back to
A lady opened the waiting room door, and peaked her head in.
“You three are here for Mr. Hansen, yes? Everything is done now, you can come
Jared stood up and glanced over at the two. “C’mon losers.”
Connor glanced over at you, and gently moved his shoulder.
“Hey, wake up. Hansen is done having his teeth ripped out.”
You groaned slightly, and opened your eyes. “Please tell me
Jared isn’t in there.”
Connor doesn’t respond.
You instantly stand up. “Alright, I am up.” You grabbed
Connor’s hand, pulled him up, and tugged him towards the door. “Come on,
Huffing, Connor stood up and followed you. “Stop pulling on
my arm, and maybe I’ll follow you.” He didn’t let go of your hand.
When you walked inside the room where Evan was seated, Jared
was near tears.
“H-holy shit… Dude, are you okay?”
Evan slowly looked up at the three of you. The way his eyes
were narrowed made it seem like he was concentrating on something. Not only
that, but he just kept mumbling something over and over again.
“Evan, dude, you alright?” Connor asks, raising his eyebrow.
“…Hey… I think… I think I died… What… What the hell are you
guys?” Evan muttered, and looked quizzically at the three of you.
You just stared at him. “Evan, do want some nuggets?”
Evan looked up at you and smiled. “Hell yeah, Spruce.”
Jared almost pissed himself.
The four of you sat in Connor’s car. However, Jared decided
it would be a great idea if he drove (he does not trust Connor’s driving, even
if he did drive all of you to the dentist), and Evan sat in the passenger seat.
This would then leave you and Connor in the backseat, kicking the other’s seats.
“Hey… Spruce! How… How did I die? Am I part tree? Wh-wh…
What if I didn’t die, but you died.
Maybe you – or the fluffy dude – are all a fragment of my imagination. Maybe
none of us are real.”
Jared glanced over at Evan. “Hansen getting deep. Never do
this shit ever again, thanks.”
You just smiled and gently pat Evan’s head. “Then you are a
super cool fragment.”
“Super shitty.” Connor mumbled, rolling his eyes.
Evan just continues to smile for a few more minutes.
Suddenly, his eyes lit up, and he gently gasped.
“Spruce! I… I have a secret!”
You laughed and tilted your head. “Yeah, what is it?”
“Okay, so you know my friend, Connor?”
At the sound of his named, Connor instantly snapped his
attention towards Evan. “What the fuck are you-“
Evan interrupts him. “Shh! Spruce won’t tell! Anyways, I
have a friend, Y/N! They are also Connor’s friend, and Jared’s!”
“Oh, I like where this is going. Go on, Evan, please inform
Spruce.” Jared urges, a wide grin began to form.
“Evan, shut the fuck up.” Connor said as his eyes began to
“Spruce, this is top secret okay? Do not tell anyone!” Evan whispered, a sly smile
began to form.
You nodded. “I, Spruce, will not tell anyone this ‘secret’”.
By this time, Connor was beginning to suspect what Evan was
going to say. You, however, had no idea what Evan was going to say. You were
hoping that maybe you would be able to get some dirt on Jared or Connor, and be
able to blackmail them later. Hell, you’ll take anything as long as you can
blackmail one of them.
Evan slowly leans in closer to where you are, and Connor
just watches, hoping that Evan is smart enough to not say shit.
“Look… My friend, Connor, really likes Y/N! But, you can’t tell them! Connor will be an angry
bean pole.” Evan laughed at the end of his sentence, and looked over at Connor.
“Evan. What the fuck.”
Connor hissed, nervously glancing between you and Evan.
Evan just smiled. “Spruce won’t tell Y/N!”
“Spruce won’t have to tell Y/N, Evan. You did the deed for
them.” Jared said between laughs.
You looked over at Connor, and he didn’t meet your gaze.
Instead, he opted to turning nearly his entire body away from you. His hair was
pushed in front of his face, and he made damn sure that Evan could see him
Evan sits there, confused about the situation, but Jared
distracted him. Which left you ‘alone’ with Connor.
You couldn’t help yourself, you just began to laugh. You
tried to hide it, but it just wanted to fall from your lips. The moment he
heard this, Connor tensed up.
He thought you were laughing at him, and how could he possibly think that he has a
chance with you?
The moment your laughter died down, you gently brushed some
of Connor’s away from his face, causing him to flinch. His entire face was
burning, including the tip of his ears. He looked utterly adorable.
“What?” He hisses,
a bit harsher than he meant to.
You smile falters slightly, but instead of saying anything,
you gently press a kiss to his cheek.
“You are super cute, y’know that?” You murmur nonchalantly.
This completely caught Connor off guard. “Wh-what the hell
are you talking about.”
“And you’re stuttering? Who are you, and what have you done
with Connor Murphy? Is this Connor Murphy going to ask me out or do I have to
ask him out?”
At this point, he is just staring at you, a very small smile
gently tugging at his lips. Connor gently cups your cheek, hand shaking. He has
never done anything like this before. What the hell is he even doing?
You just smiled and tapped Connor’s nose. “We can go hang
out at McDonald’s or something tomorrow, yeah?”
Connor nodded slightly, and gently pressed a kiss to your
lips. “Yeah, sure, whatever.”
Fresher’s flu is a thing. It’s an actual thing. It’s not a myth to scare upcoming students out of college; it’s a real, live illness that smashed into Lance like a giant ocean wave that’s been building over him for days.
One day he was fine, the next he’s laid up in his tiny dorm bed, shivering through a fever that’s leeching warmth from his body and hacking up a lung every few seconds. He’s convinced that one of these times, he’s actually going to cough up one of these damn organs necessary for survival.
There’s a faint, chilling feeling lingering around his room; it feels almost as if the Grim Reaper is creeping in a shadowed corner and waiting for Lance to breathe out his last, dying breath.
At least, that’s what Lance told Shiro, but his very reasonable boyfriend assured him that his nasty fever was playing mind tricks, and then he left to get medicine, leaving Lance alone in the grips of his darting thoughts.
The San Antonio Railway Ghost Children - Texas’ most famous ghost story, arguably, is that of the ghost children that supposedly haunt a San Antonio railway track. An intersection of roadway and rail road track, which is located near the San Juan Mission, is the scene of this mysterious tale. As the tale goes, in the 1930′s, a school bus filled with children stalled on the rail road track. Tragedy struck, when an oncoming train crashed into the bus, killing all of the children and bus driver. Legend says that any car that stops in the same area, will be pushed by unseen hands over the train track until they reach safety. People believe the ghosts of the children haunt the area to protect people from another misfortune like the one that cost them their lives. Many curious people have driven to the area in an attempt to see if the famous legend is true; there have even been numerous reports of tiny fingerprints being left imprinted on the car and claims of ghostly children’s voices and laughter being heard in the area.
I think degrassi did such a good job at developing Maya’s character. I know people were upset that Maya didn’t seem to show/care about Cam’s suicide but she was affected much more than everyone else. It gave her extreme anxiety. Eventually, combined with the bus crash, it gave her severe depression that led her to do what she did. It cut so much deeper and was so much more realistic; instead of showing how a major event/disease impacted someone for like 2 episodes, which is usually what degrassi does, they showed how one single event impacted Maya for years. I think this is one of the most powerful things degrassi has done, and I really applaud Olivia for playing it so well.
HP Challenge Day 1 - Favorite Book: “Prisoner of Azkaban”
“When the Knight Bus crashes through the darkness and screeches to a halt in front of him, it’s the start of another far from ordinary year at Hogwarts for Harry Potter. Sirius Black, escaped mass-murderer and follower of Lord Voldemort, is on the run - and they say he is coming after Harry.”
Request:hello! I dont know if you do any marauders oneshots but if you do can you write one where the reader and sirius are dating and they get in a huge fight and remus is the one to push the reader back to sirius????
A/N: This was hella fun to write
“No, you’re right Sirius! It’s always my fault! I’m always the bad guy!”, you yelled tears threatening to pierce through your eyes as you slammed the palm of your hand against Sirius’s chest.
“I never said that! This is what I am talking about! You always jump to conclusions without consulting me first!”, He yelled back not daring to break eye-contact. All you saw was blue. Blue like the tears streaming down your cream-colored face, like the stone necklace that Sirius gave you for your first anniversary that seemed to now burn at your throat, and like the roses Sirius would give you after whispering ‘I love you’. You distinctly remembering the first time you two admitted your feeling towards one another. It was during the fifth year, somehow the two of you went from talking about how you managed to fail your potions class to confessing your acquired adoration for each other. With him asking timidly at the end, ‘can I kiss you?’.
Tightening a grip on Sirius’s jumper, you held him close to you.
“And you, you bastard never take my side! You’re always so kept to yourself! Never once have you came to me with a problem! I trusted you enough to let you in, but you couldn’t do the same! The only thing I ever needed was for you to need me, Sirius! That’s all I ever needed! Because I deserve somebody who gives a shit!”, you screamed even louder on the top of your lungs, causing your voice to crack. Sirius tried to take a step back, but you held onto his jumper even tighter not letting him leave. Straightening up his posture, Sirius glared at you, a hard cold glare. A glare he would give to someone like Bellatrix.
“Don’t you even dare Y/N! I loved you through everything, and you don’t even care! And you know what Y/N! I deeply wish that I never met you!”, Sirius screamed at me even louder with each sentence, his body trembled as his voice croaked with broken cries, before ripping your hand off of his jumper and running away. All you could do was stand there, sobbing loudly to yourself, grasping onto the single chair for support afraid that you might fall to the ground.
“Go after him Y/N”, You heard a raspy, cool voice of Remus lupin. Turning around to face the werewolf that you have became close mates with, you realize that you could barely even see him through your teary eyes.
“You know that it only hurts more when you stop pretending. ”, Remus continued on not bothering to move from the staircase that lead to the boys dorm, “So stop pretending that what Pad-I mean Sirius said hurt more than what you are letting on. Go after him and I predict that when you see him it’s going to hit you. Hit you like a muggle bus just crashed into your body breaking your soul into pieces and your heart in shattering glass fragments.”
“W-What are you talking about Remus”, you choked on your sobs trying to make process on what the lad was saying.
“I’m saying that it’s always been you and Sirius. Always. Ever since first year when you hated each other, no matter what you two will always love each other, so I don’t see why you are forcing him away, and him visa versa. But knowing how stubborn the both of you are, I am not telling-I am demanding that you go after Sirius and tell him. Tell him how you are feeling now. Or else I will drag you by your hair to him”, Remus didn’t say another word before storming back up the stairs.
Numbly you moved forward, towards the portrait that would lead you out of the common-room. Once outside the sound of a broken cry filled your ears. Sirius. He was more then crying, he was cursing to no one but himself. There he sat at the top of the moving staircase cursing and cursing to himself, and crying even louder. That’s when it hit you, it hit you harder than a muggle bus crashing into your body. It hit you more painfully than the curico curse. You collapsed down to the cold stone floor, clenching your chest above your heart. The pain was unbearable. Seeing Sirius the way he was puffy eyed, tear stained cheeks, messy destroyed locks of crow black hair, paler skin than the snow falling outside, and the look of death itself shadowing over his handsome face. Your heart was smashed, beaten, crumbled, torn apart, and shattered to the base of your chest like fine china.
“No-please. Please don’t leave me”, you cried broken and torn like your vocal cords yearned for fresh cool liquid, “Please Sirius, you’re the only good thing I have. I can’t-Don’t leave me”
You didn’t know if he could hear you and you sobbed on the hallway floor, it wasn’t until you felt those cold strong arms around your body. engulfing your body in a cold chill. The cold chill you have grown custom to after so many years of hugging, holding hands, colliding in the middle of the hallways, and sneaking kisses at midnight. Moving your body around so you would be able to hold onto the person who was your first kiss, your first love, your first friend, your first enemy, and the first person who you beat the crap out of when they accidently called you a ditzy little girl.
“It’s okay, I’m here. I’m sorry.”, Sirius’s wobbly voice spoke almost like the wind in the summer, soft and almost unnoticeable, “I will never leave you. Never. Just promise you won’t leave me”
His grip grew stronger around your body pulling you closer to him. Crying into his shoulder, all you could do was nod.
“Never, I would never leave you. Never. I love you”, You whispered over and over again. I love you.
You love Sirius the same way how the moon loves the sun, dying each day so the sun can live.
Venezuela’s opposition blocked streets in Caracas on Tuesday to denounce a decision by unpopular leftist President Nicolas Maduro to create a new super-body known as a “constituent assembly,” a move critics say is a veiled attempt to cling to power by avoiding elections.
After a month of near-daily protests by opponents demanding early general elections, Maduro announced on Monday he planned to set up a new popular assembly with the ability to rewrite the constitution. Some 29 people have been killed, more than 400 people have been injured and hundreds more arrested since the anti-Maduro unrest began in early April.
The government has responded with shows of force by security forces and counter-demonstrations by Maduro supporters. At least 13 people were killed and 37 injured when a bus crashed while carrying state workers back to Bolivar state after a May Day rally organized by the government, according to the state governor.
While many details remain unclear about the constituent assembly, Maduro said political parties would not participate and that only up to half of its 500 members would be elected. (Reuters)
The Egos notice that Amy hasn’t been by for a visit in a
really long time. They know that she was supposed to be at a convention for a
few days, but she should’ve been back by now. And after a ton of pestering from
the other Egos, Dark decides that they’ll simply have to find out what the
Google tracks her phone, with good reason of course. Amy could
be in trouble, after all. But regardless, he finds out that she’s at Mark’s
place and has been since they got back from the convention. He advises that
they take a small party of the Egos closest to Amy and pay her a little visit.
Warfstache says this is preposterous, and yes, they are all
definitely going. Granted, this is some of the Egos first time out of Ego Inc.
in a while.
Public transportation is therefore a blast.
A bus loaded with over
half a dozen different (somewhat deadly) versions of Mark Edward Fischbach is
practically an LSD trip.
Dark smolders in the back, and there are several seats
around him that are empty because nobody in their right mind wants to get near
him. Wilford is at the front flirting with the driver. Google took all his
weapons before they left because he didn’t want to deal with any of Wilford’s…
accidents, and he stands next to the Host who is muttering narrations to
himself, a nervous tick he employs when under great stress.
Dr. Iplier and Ed are discussing the likelihood of the entire
bus crashing and killing everyone, as a result of Wilford leaning sensually across the dash
with a wink. The driver asks him—yet again—to please go take a seat, when they
finally get to their stop. Bim has the directions for some reason, and so they
get lost several times before finally ending up on Mark’s doorstep cursing and
glitching and… Wilford Warfstaching.
Imagine Mark’s surprise when he opens the door, and all the
Egos pour in at once at different levels of concern for their favorite alien-loving
sweetheart. Dark hangs back just to give a snide smirk to Mark and a, “Oh,
should we have called first?” in that creepy, ringing voice. Mark tries to
chase after them and tell them that there is no way in hell they are getting
anywhere near Amy, that she’s sick with convention flu, and they have to leave
This doesn’t help the issue at all.
Host starts preparing tea in the kitchen, while also hiding
all the knives from Wilford. Bim Trimmer is close to tears. Dr. Iplier is quite
ecstatic (but of course, still concerned). Google searches for household
remedies to the flu. And Dark finds a comfy chair to lounge in while he watches
the frustrated looks on Mark’s face and chuckles menacingly.
Amy is actually happy to see the Egos, if a little bit
green. She thankfully accepts the Host’s tea and gives him a little boop on the
nose that makes his cheeks turn a deep shade of red. Google and Dr. Iplier give
her a quick look-over, but she assures them that Mark is doing everything he
can to help her feel better.
Warfstache pokes his head in, trying to casually check on
his Miss Peebstache, and greets her with a, “Well, at least you aren’t dead… yet.”
While she’s happy to see them, Amy gets tired quickly and
falls asleep to Bim humming her a Taylor Swift song he’s probably had on repeat
in his changing room for a week. And, wow, he has Mark’s same angelic singing
Once she’s asleep, Mark shoos them all out of her room and
out of the house as quickly as he can, locking the front door behind them and
sliding down it onto the floor with a huff. He rubs his eyes, groans, and is
about to get up when he hears something smash into the backdoor. He goes over
to investigate only to find a smudge of peanut butter on the glass door and a very confused King of
the Squirrels looking up at him and saying, “I came to
see Princess Amy!”
First of all, it’s worth mentioning that House MD was inspired by ACD stories therefore it wouldn’t be odd for Mofftiss to take inspiration from the series. Also, it’s the only modern Sherlock series except for their own.
Gregory House - Sherlock Holmes, James Wilson - John Watson, Amber (aka Wilson’s dead gf) - Mary (aka Watson’s dead wife).
Ok let’s start with S4E15 ‘’House’s head’’
Summary: House has a short disjointed vision and presumes that “somebody’s going to die”. Back at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital, House is diagnosed with a concussion and post-traumatic retrograde amnesia. Chase performs a medical hypnosis on House to stimulate his memory. While the team investigates several pathologies to fit the bus driver’s condition, House overdoses on his Vicodin and starts to hallucinate.
In a renewed attempt to retrieve his memory, House has his team reenact the bus crash. House overdoses on physostigmine, a medication against Alzheimer’s disease, and his mind flashes back to the bus scene before the accident. “The answer” reminds House that since he values reason above everything else, there must be one for her presence in his mind. She keeps asking House what her necklace is made from, until House realizes that it’s made of amber. “The answer” transforms into Amber Volakis, and when Wilson and Cuddy manage to resuscitate House from his overdose-induced cardiac arrest, House immediately informs Wilson that Amber’s life is in danger as he now remembers the crash.
This one is going to be pretty messy because this episode parallels HLV, TAB, and T6T. The most important thing is that Sherlock/House overdoses to solve a case in his mind, turns out it has to do with James’/John’s wife.
In an attempt to remember exactly what he saw that caused his initial concern and help definitively diagnosis her (Amber), House decides to undergo deep brain stimulation with Wilson’s urging. The crash caused such extensive anatomical and physiological trauma to Amber that she ended up suffering acute renal failure. This damage to her kidneys made them unable to adequately filter out the amantadine, causing her to overdose, and thus causing all her unexplained symptoms. Wilson suggests dialysis as a treatment, however House tells him during the memory of the moments leading up to the bus crash that when unfiltered, amantadine binds to proteins in the kidneys, and therefore dialysis is unable to clear it from the blood, and ultimately there is no treatment for Amber. House and Wilson begin to cry, and House goes into a seizure while still connected to the Deep Brain Stimulation equipment. The seizure causes the equipment to shift, thus causing House’s brain to bleed, leading to him falling into a coma. An unconscious House has a vision of Amber who persuades him not to give up on life and die, telling him that he “can’t always get what he wants”.
Wilson returns home and finds the note Amber left him in their bedroom saying she went to pick up House and would return home soon, causing him to breakdown in tears.
“Dying Changes Everything”
House then enters Wilson’s office and offers an apology in a final attempt to make him stay. Wilson tells House that he does not blame him for Amber’s death, as much as he wanted to, and tried hard to. However, when House starts to assume that everything is fine, Wilson tells House that Amber was never the real reason why he was leaving. Wilson says that he has realized that House is rude and malicious to everybody he knows, including him, and throughout their entire friendship, he’s been enabling his behavior. Wilson claims that as long as the two remain friends, he will always continue this negative atmosphere. He then begins to say that he should have been on the bus that crashed, but then pauses and says that House should have been on it alone. “We’re not friends any more, House; I’m not sure we ever were,” Wilson says as he leaves his office and leaves House in the room alone.
(cont. Wilson: I don’t blame you. I wanted to-)
“Under My Skin”
Summary: […] House must solve this daunting puzzle, even while going to extreme measures to rid himself of his continuing hallucinations of Amber.
House confides in Wilson about his problem, and they create a list of potential diagnoses, ranging from MS to schizophrenia. While House tests for and eliminates diagnosis after diagnosis, Wilson consults on House’s case, serving as a monitor to make sure House does nothing that goes beyond “House-radical” to “House-out-of-his-head-radical”. Meanwhile, House eliminates all possible diagnoses but severe mental illness and Vicodin addiction—both prognoses bleak, as House would be unable to practice medicine if taking anti-psychotics, or if in continuous pain after detox. In desperation, House gives himself insulin shock as an alternative to anti-psych drugs or ECT. After recovering from the insulin-induced coma, House finds himself free of his hallucination and eagerly returns to the diagnosis of his patient. Returning to the case, House finds Penelope’s boyfriend’s devotion suspicious, and believing it to be guilt-induced, tells his team to test him for gonorrhea. The test returns positive, but it becomes evident that the boyfriend was shocked by this, and that Penelope had been cheating on him, not the other way around. As House realizes that he reached the correct conclusion by accident rather than through accurate observation, he once again starts to have hallucinations of Amber. This leaves House’s Vicodin addiction as the final diagnosis for his hallucinations. Rather than go to a clinic or check into the hospital under a pseudonym, House reveals his situation to Cuddy and asks her to personally help him. Cuddy spends the night at House’s home, destroying any caches of Vicodin and monitoring him as he detoxes, with Amber eventually disappearing. The episode ends with House and Cuddy kissing passionately and disrobing.
“Both Sides Now”
I’d rec reading the summary, i know it’s long but it’ll make you realise how similar to TLD the ep is. And if i’d have to rec you one episode of house to watch from this list, it’d be this one.
House wakes up at his apartment after spending the night with Cuddy. He discovers that she has left her lipstick on his bathroom counter, as well as on his cheek. House pockets the lipstick, and goes to work in a cheerful mood and a remarkable lack of pain.
Meanwhile, Cuddy tells House that their relationship must be that of employer and employee. House tells Wilson that he kicked his drug habit and had sex with Cuddy; Wilson advises that he talk to her, advice which House ignores. Instead he begins a campaign to annoy and provoke her, an attempt to break through her composure. In a final attempt to provoke Cuddy into examining her true feelings for him, House announces to everyone in the main lobby of the hospital that he had sexual relations with Cuddy. Cuddy responds by confronting him in a hallway, and then firing him after he suggests that they move in together. Cuddy storms off but before House can do anything else. House then goes to talk to Cuddy in her office, and asks her if she could possibly be overreacting to the previous night. She finally admits that maybe she is, since he’s “said plenty of lousy things to [her] before.” House seems confused, as he assumed that she was overreacting to her and House having sex and what it could mean to their employer-employee relationship.
But he realizes that Cuddy’s reactions all day have been consistent, and in fact it is his own memory of the situation that is faulty. He turns his attention to the lipstick Cuddy let at his apartment, which he has been playing with all day, and is troubled that Cuddy’s coffee cup shows no lipstick smears; his memory of the prior evening included smears of lipstick on his face from kissing Cuddy, so he expects her lipstick is the sort that smears. He asks Cuddy whether she has another type of lipstick, one with a “sealing agent”, that might explain the discrepancy between his memory of the smeared kiss and the reality that now confronts him of the unsmeared coffee cup. House then has a flashback to the night (from the episode “Under My Skin”) before when he thought he told Cuddy that he needed her help with his addiction. He suddenly sees the reality of what has happened: he never told Cuddy he was having hallucinations that night. His final words of the evening were: “you can go suckle the little bastard child if that makes you feel good about yourself.” Upset by this remark, she left the office and went home, never accompanying him to his apartment.House snaps back to reality and tries to explain to Cuddy that that’s not what actually happened, saying “I told you I needed you, and you helped me.” He reaches into his pocket to remove the lipstick, but, to his shock, he discovers that it is actually a bottle of Oxycodone which states ‘not to exceed’. He drops the bottle on the floor and gingerly backs away from it. Cuddy, now realizing House is not joking, rushes to him and asks if he is okay. He doesn’t respond, but then has another flashback, and realizes what happened. The whole previous night was a complete hallucination, beginning from him telling Cuddy that he needed her to help him detox and her accompanying him home. His memory of Cuddy staying by his side at his apartment was not real, and, in fact, he spent the night popping pills by himself. Hallucinations of Amber and Kutner then appear and tell House that while the story he invented about himself is nice, it’s not true. House finally looks at Cuddy and is able to fearfully tell her that he is not okay.
House awakens in the Mayfield Psychiatric Hospital after suffering through the painful effects of Vicodin withdrawal.
Dr. Nolan tells House he cannot possibly treat someone so uncooperative. As Nolan leaves, however, House softly calls him back and says, “I need help.” He begins therapy with Nolan and House says, “I want to get better.”
House apologizes to Steve, and as he wheels him away, Steve breaks his silence and gives the silent Annie the music box he was holding. For the first time, she speaks to say 'thank you’. Lydia arrives and House takes her in to see the group watching her sister-in-law playing “Bach’s Cello Suite No. 1” on the cello.
Ah, I’ve forgotten to add this. It’s from the beginning of season six. House finds out that Lisa didn’t break up with her bf. = Sherlock didn’t ‘’break up’’ with the woman. Parallels the 221B scene in TLD.
(House: they didnt break up. Wilson: and youre ok with that? House: it is what it is)
