Highways, airports close as blizzard hits U.S. Northeast
NBC News: Travel bans have gone into effect across the U.S. Northeast on Monday night, banning all cars other than emergency vehicles from roads as a blizzard threatens more than two feet of snow.
With the worst of the storm expected to hit overnight, airlines are warning that practically nothing will take off or land in New York, Boston and Philadelphia. More than 7,000 flights have been cancelled already.
