I don’t like crocheting or knitting in front of people, just because I lose focus. I prefer my house/my room hands down .-.

I crochet if I have to sit for a while (dr. appointment, car ride,) If you’re around strangers u’ll have to answer ?’s about what u’re making

I don’t think its strange, but I made a habit out of crocheting at work b/c I had no time to do it at home in my last job. You’ll adjust! :]

I love taking my crochet with me to church :D helps me keep my hands busy during the sermon.

I knit everywhere. My kids have music lessons strewn over the week so I bring my hats/mittens/socks along and knit.

I have knitted/crocheted in the WIERDEST places, trains and stores and while I was walking around campus once. Let your freak flag fly :)

I crochet in public now, usually at a local coffee shop. It can be weird at first since people look at you but you meet new poeple too!

At first I thought it would be distracting but I realised, I’m one of those awful people who doesn’t count stitches, I just go with it. My recent project has an extra stitch now and I unravelled a big chunk of it, still couldn’t find where I went wrong so I just re-stitched it back up with this extra stitch. xD

It gives me some happiness there are so many people who 1) replied to this and 2) craft in public.

It’s just…. where I stay there aren’t too many people who do it. Every single person I have encountered hasn’t even heard of crochet. The day I meet someone who crochets or knits I’ll melt and be-friend them instantly.  Anyways, because like no one does it I just feel funny about whipping my gear out and getting to it. I think I’ll start small. - in the car- then build up until I don’t mind doing it at lunch time in college.

I guess as some of you said, it’s weird at first but you get use to it.

I also want to thank all you lovely people for replying to this! It’s made me feel a little more confident about the matter.
