Hooded eyes can be a tricky subject when it comes to makeup, but it doesn’t have to be! With just one simple sweep this technique can give your eyes lift, and definition whilst making them appear more elongated.
Step 1. After prepping the eyelids and tightlining the eyes sweep a shimmery, pigmented shade over the eyelid
Step 2. With your eyes open work a matte dark brown shade through the crease and blend
Step 3. Taking a darker shade than the one you originally used, hold the brush at the outer corner of the eye
Step 4. Gently drag the brush upwards towards your eyebrow to create a winged shape
Step 5. Blend out the eyeshadow following that same shape
Step 6. Take the same matte dark brown along the lower lash line
Step 7. Smudge a dark, black eyeshadow along the upper lash line as an eyeliner
Step 8. Smudge that same dark black shade along the lower lash line
Step 9. All that blending can take away the first shade you apply so reapply it to the center of the eyelid
Step 10. Curl your lashes and apply mascara to both top and bottom lashes.
If you haven’t already seen the editorial image for the new ‘Neo Noir’ collection from KIKO cosmetics then Google it now!!
It’s all about the eyes and subtle glowing skin, simply captivating! The PR company for KIKO contacted me and asked if would like to sample some of the new collection and naturally I said ‘YES’.
I just had to recreate the eyes from that image, and of course, I filmed it.
Fluffy, textured brows are all the rage nowadays and are a major beauty trend. I’ve personally always loved the look of brows that look natural and full, with the hairs moving all over the place and each one looking perfectly soft and defined. Fluffy, textured brows can take some work, and so can filling them in bit by bit, but there is an easy way. All you need is a tinted brow gel (I used *Benefit 3D Brow Tones) + a clean spoolie and you’re good to go!
It’s an easy technique that anyone can master, but you’re going to want to make sure your face is free of any makeup as it can get a little messy! Keep some makeup remover handy to clean up afterwards and if you like you can go in with a little concealer to really polish the brows off. Makeup wise I like to keep the rest of the face pretty neutral with just a little mascara, a hint of concealer and a bright coral lip. Keep reading to see the picture tutorial!
Stila Heaven’s Hue Highlighter Swatches, Review, Demo
Stila Heaven’s Hue Highlighters are a relatively new and incredibly popular highlighter and one that I’ve received many questions about. It’s a product that risks being gimmicky, but somehow manages to combine all the great elements of highlighter into a cool, new and interesting product.
