I sat at a table in the student lounge by myself, waiting for my best friend Jughead. I had my sketch pad out, messing around and trying to keep myself busy.I didn’t really like sitting alone, because usually Reggie and his gang of man-children would take the attention of the student lounge, and I would be subjected to the torture that is their awful and offensive banter.I glanced around the room, uninterested, until my eyes caught the gaze of another, Chuck Clayton.

Chuck was caption of the football team, formerly co-caption with Jason Blossom before he was killed. I had never heard anything bad about him, and he sat next to me in my math class. I helped him out a bit with his schoolwork once in a while. He was actually a really kind person from what I could tell.
Chuck stood up, walking towards me. I froze, wondering why in the hell anybody like Chuck Clayton would give me the time of day.

“Hey, y/n.” Chuck stood in front of me, smiling brightly.

“Uh, hey Chuck, are you having any trouble with the geometry homework?” I asked him, beginning to pull out my textbook from my bag.

“No, uh, I actually wanted to ask you something.” Chuck stopped me.“I was wondering if, maybe you’d like to uh, go to homecoming with me?”
I froze again, taken back at his question.

“Me?“I looked around the room as if he may be confusing me with someone else.

“Yeah, you.” Chuck confirmed, chuckling a bit.

“Uh, o-ok, yeah, I’ll go with you.” I blushed, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear. I didn’t see the harm in saying yes, he was a nice guy, and it wasn’t like anybody else would ever ask me.

“Great! Uh, are you free tomorrow? Maybe we could meet up after school and hang out or something?” Chuck offered.

“Alright, yeah, I can do that.”

“Cool, I’ll see you then.” Chuck grinned, walking back to his group of friends.
——————

“Hey, Juggie.” I smiled warmly at my friend, sliding in to the booth next to him. I laid my head on his shoulder, his screen open as he typed.

“Hey, y/n.” Jughead pressed a quick kiss to the top of my head before returning his attention to his novel.

“How was your day?” I asked him, looping my arm around his and scooting closer to cuddle in to his side.

“Oh, same old same old.Nothing interesting.” Jughead hummed, leaning his head against mine. Jughead wasn’t huge on showing affection in public, but he put up with me always cuddling in to his side.“How was yours?”

"Well, it was…interesting, to say the least."I sighed, taking a sip of the Jughead’s root beer.

"How so?”

“Well, Chuck Clayton asked me to homecoming.”

I felt Jughead tense before looking down at me with a shocked look on his face.

“What did you say?”

“I said sure.” I shrugged, taking another sip of his root beer.

“Are you feeling alright?” Jughead placed his hand over my forehead, as if he was checking to see if I had a fever. I swatted his hands away and slid over to the opposite booth seat.

"Quit it, Jug."I warned.

"This is a big deal!"Jughead fired, his hands waving wildly.

"It’s not!” I shot back.

"It’s the captain of the football team!”

"And?”

And?Y/n, he’s only one of the biggest players at our whole school! You know about The Playbook!”

“Jughead, that’s just a silly rumor."I argued.Jughead slammed his laptop shut.

"I can’t believe you’re actually going to go to homecoming with that….that….that imbecile!”

Jughead!Just because “that imbecile” is on the football team, doesn’t make him a bad person!“ I stood up, grabbing my backpack.

"Wait, y/n."Jughead reached for my wrist but I pulled away.

"I won’t be here tomorrow, I’m seeing Chuck after school.“ I paced out of the diner, ignoring Jughead’s protests.
——————–
I hadn’t talk to Jughead all day, or Betty, or Veronica. The girls, Jughead, and Kevin seemed to be on some kind of mission, and I wasn’t going to talk to them anyways. I was sure Jughead told them all about Chuck asking me to homecoming.

When school was over, I waited in the library, where Chuck had texted me, asking me to meet up with him. I sat at a table in the corner, working on a book report until he showed. 10 minutes passed, which turned in to 20, then 30, then an hour, and I soon realized that I had been stood up. I gathered all my stuff and compiled it in to my backpack neatly, before zipping it up and swinging it over my shoulder. I pushed the bridge of my glasses up my nose and began to make my way out of the library. Jughead was going to gloat in all of his glory when I told him about what happened.

As I turned opened the door of the library, cold liquid was thrown in my face, drenching my front from head to toe. I gasped loudly, my eyes burning as I wiped the slush-like substance from my face.

"How’s your slushie, freak?!” I opened my eyes to Reggie holding a slushie cup, with about 5 or 6 guys laughing at m, one of them being Chuck. One of the jocks was holding a phone, recording the whole scene.

“Do you really think Chuck would ever ask a weirdo like you to homecoming?"One of the jocks laughed.

"News flash, nobody would ask you out even if you were the last girl on earth, you frigid bitch.”I looked at Chuck, hurt in my eyes.Chuck just smiled, before opening his mouth.

“Don’t take it too personal, y/n, it’s just-” Chuck kicked off the wall he was leaning against, strolling over to me.He leaned down so he was eye level to me."Nobody would ever waste their time on you. You’re not worth it.”

I shoved past Chuck, tears falling down my face. I ran down the hallways of the school, shoving the front doors open and running home as fast as I could.I swung my front door open, running past my mom and up the stairs.I heard my mother shout for me, but I just wanted to take a shower and crawl in to a hole and die.

I stripped off all my clothes and got in, rinsing the sticky drink out of my hair. After I was finished, I threw on some comfy clothes and wrapped a blanket around me, sitting on the edge of my bed.

“Honey.” My mom knocked on my door, opening it slowly.“You’ve gotta get ready, the football game is soon.” She took one look at me and knew something was wrong, sitting next to me on my bed.“Sweetheart, what’s wrong?"My mom rubbed my back soothingly.I fessed up, telling her everything, from yesterday when Chuck asked me out, to Jughead and I’s fight, to the slushie incident.

"Oh honey, I’m so so sorry."My mom pulled me in to her chest, embracing me tightly."If you don’t wanna go tonight, I completely understand.” My mom ran her fingers through my hair while my tears stained her shirt.

“No, I have to go, I promised Josie I’d sing with her tonight.” I wiped away my tears, taking a deep breath and calming myself down. After a few more minutes and my mom making promises to call the principal and “kick Chuck where the sun don’t shine”, she left my room so I could get ready for tonight.

I threw on the outfit I was wearing tonight and grabbed my coat, setting it on my bed with my purse and doing my hair.I did only a little bit of makeup, enough to cover up the fact that I had cried alone in my room for 3 hours, and then I slipped on my boots and went downstairs.

Archie was sat on my couch, swinging his keys around his finger. I loved on the other side of Betty, so he always offered to drive me to games, since he would be heading there anyways.

“Hey, Arch.” I smiled. Archie looked at me sadly before getting up and hugging me tightly.

“Okay, who died.” I joked, hugging my friend back.

“I know what Chuck did to you.” Archie whispered. My fingers clenched around the fabric of his varsity jacket.

“It’s okay.” I moved away so I could look at Archie.“Arch, it’s ok.”

“It’s not ok, it’s-” Archie began to yell and I caught his face in my hands, turning him to look at me.

“I’m.Ok.See?” I stood back and twirled a bit.“ No bumps, no bruises, just a stupid boy who thought he could get to me.” He had gotten to me, but I wasn’t going to let Archie, or anyone for that matter, know.

“Alright, well, Jughead and Betty are doing stuff for the blue and gold with Veronica and Kevin. They said they would meet us at the game, so…”

“Alright, well let’s get going!” I hugged my mom goodbye before leaving out my front door and climbing in to Mr. Andrews truck.
—————–
It was the third quarter of the game and the rest of my friends still hadn’t shown up, contrary to what Archie had told me earlier. I had long since performed on stage with Josie and was sitting alone on the bleachers.
“Wow, you’re pathetic!” A girl called out to me, laughing with her friend while she pointed at her phone. I saw a video playing of me getting slushied, except on a loop, and Chuck’s words repeating in the background.

Nobody would ever waste their time on you
You’re not worth it
You’re not worth it
You’re not worth it

I stood from the bleachers, running down the steps as fast as I could. Apparently, Chuck humiliating me in front of half the football team wasn’t enough?

I started hyperventilating, feeling everybody’s eyes on me as phones started to beep, the same video being sent to the whole school. People started laughing and whispering as they looked at me and I couldn’t stop myself from bursting in to tears. My vision was blurred and I started to feel trapped in a hole that was just getting smaller, and smaller, and smal-

“Y/n!"Somebody gripped my shoulders tightly, and I saw Veronica standing in front of me. she looked at me with concern on her face, her eyebrows raised as if looking for answers.

"Chuck…he…he…oh god, Ronnie, the whole school knows.” I wrapped my arms around her neck, collapsing in to her arms.

“Shhh, I know, I know.” Ronnie hugged me back, running her hand down my hair gently to calm me down as my body racked with sobs.

“We gotta go, ok? I don’t think Kevin can hold off Jughead much longer, and-”

“Wait, what?” I gave her the concerned look this time.

Listen, the reason we’re late is because we found the playbook. Its real, and it’s got almost every girl in it, you and I the newest victims.”

“Who put you in it?"I asked her.

"Chuck and I went on a date last night, and he sticky mapled me."Veronica explained.

"Sticky maple? What’s a sticky Ma-”

“Listen, I can tell you all about it later, but right now w-”

“We gotta go, like, now, Jughead is pissed.” Betty came running up the stairs.“I’ve never seen him like this, like, ever.”I followed Betty and Veronica down the bleachers, to the football fence where Kevin stood, his back facing us and his hands wrapped tightly around Jughead’s shoulders.Jughead himself looked like a raging bull seeing red, his nostrils flaring and his jaw clenched. When he saw me, he shoved Kevin out of the way, jogging towards me.

“Why didn’t you tell me what happened right away?!?!” Jughead cried. His palms went to my cheeks, wiping away the tears still falling down my face.

“I-I don’t know, we had gotten in to a fight, and I had left it off bad, and I-”

“Y/n, it’s ok, it’s ok, alright?I’m always here for you, always, I-”

“Well, well, well, looks like you can’t keep the freaks away from each other.Let me guess, it was you that helped him hide the body, right, weirdo?” Chuck leaned against the fence, helmet resting between his hip and forearm.

Jughead wrapped his hands around my shoulders and moved me gently so I wasn’t in front of him anymore before walking calmly up to Chuck, pulling his arm back, and clocking Chuck right in the jaw. Chuck went tumbling down, falling on his ass.

“Hey, freak show, wanna tussle?” Reggie came marching over, seeing the commotion.

“Listen, we all know you get your sexist views from the 50’s, but can you not use their lingo too? It kinda makes you look like a-"Reggie punched Jughead and I gasped. Jughead wiped the blood now coming from his mouth, spitting the rest at Reggie’s feet.

A tool.” Jughead finished.

Reggie shoved Jughead and I came running forward, trying to block Reggie from Jughead. Reggie pushed me out of the way and I fell on my back.Jughead was already knocking his fists in to Reggie’s face, Reggie trying to block him. I began to go in again and was lifted in the air by Chuck, being thrown over his shoulder.

“Time to take out the trash!“Chuck laughed, hauling me off.I started screaming and thrashing in his arms, kicking my legs and waving my arms.

"Put her down!” Veronica screamed, shoving Chuck’s chest. Chuck pushed her down and Betty yelped, running over to help Ronnie up.

Archie began pulling Reggie off of Jughead, and he turned around to see me thrown over Chuck’s shoulder.Jug ran towards Chuck, doing anything he could to grab me from his arms.He kicked Chuck in the stomach, which caused him to stumble backward, and took the opportunity to grab me from his arms and pulling me away from Chuck.

“You’re fucking insane!” Chuck screamed.

“Says the one who tried to haul off with y/n!” Betty screamed back. Betty, Jughead, Kevin, and Archie now stood protectively around Veronica and I.

“What the hell is going on?” Principal Weatherbee hollered from the football field gate, Coach Clayton and the Mayor behind him.

“Chuck, you are in serious trouble!” The coach spoke to his son in a loud tone.

“Dad, they were the ones who-”

“Son, I know about the playbook.” The coach interrupted.“ And I’ve seen the video of what you did to that poor girl.Come on!” The coach grabbed Reggie and Chuck by the shoulders, dragging them back inside the football field and towards the school. The mayor and principal Weatherbee followed.
—————–
After the whole commotion at the game, Archie was benched, because he had a bloody nose after the fight with Reggie. Jughead had it way worse, a black eye now adorning the right side of his face and a swollen lip, as well as a busted nose to match that of his best friends. He had a few cuts and bruises on his upper body, but nothing a little first aid couldn’t help.

Jughead now stood in front of me in his pajamas. Archie had drove everyone back to Betty’s, and I immediately dragged Jughead to my house to clean him up while the girls and Kevin set up an impromptu movie night/sleepover to make up for the shitty events earlier on in the night.

“You’ve been eerily silent."Jughead broke the silence as I wiped the cut on his chin with hydrogen peroxide.Jughead hissed at the discomfort.

"I’m just-” I sighed, setting down the napkin in the counter next to me.“I’m an idiot.”

“Y/n, you’re not an idiot.”

“I should have listened to you though. You were right about Chuck and I still went through with it anyways and-” I trailed off, not wanting to relive this afternoon.

“As much as I love hearing you say I was right.” Jughead smiled proudly. “What you need to know is that, everything Chuck said about you is a lie.”

“It’s wasn’t, Jug, he was right."I shook my head, beginning to cry once more.

"No, y/n, don’t say that.” Jughead rested his hands on the counter by either side of my thighs, capturing me in his lean and firm frame.I looked up at him, my eyes red and puffy.

“Jughead, I’m not worth it. None of this was worth it. You getting a black eye and a busted lip and a bloody nose wasn’t worth it!I’m pathetic! I’m a freak, I’m-” I waved my hands around wildly, and Jughead caught my wrists with my hands, holding on to them firmly but gently.

“Hey, hey, hey!” Jughead spoke softly, yet loud enough to get my attention.I stopped, looking at him.“You are worth it, ok? In my mind, in my..my everything, you’re worth it.You have always been worth it and you always will be worth it.” Jughead’s hands went around my cheeks, his thumbs stroking the sides of my face lovingly.

And then I was kissing Jughead.

My fingers were tangled in his hair, his beanie cap knocked off and long forgotten on the tile floor somewhere, his arms pulling me flush to his body. My legs wrapped around his waist, pulling him even closer, and the only time we stopped was to catch our breath for a second before kissing again.

A muffled shout was heard and I tore away from Jughead, to see the girls standing at Betty’s kitchen window, their phones in hand, taking pictures of us. Archie appeared behind them, two thumbs up being thrown in the air.

“We have an audience.” I hid my face in the crook of his neck, my nervous laughs muffled.

“I noticed.” Jughead flipped them off and they giggled, shutting the curtains quickly.

“When we get over there, they’re in for it.” Jughead mumbled, dipping his head back down to kiss me again.

so i’ve been making monthly fic recs for a full year now! that’s so insane to think about honestly. thanks for all the support! my first monthly fic rec was for april 2016 and it had 10 fics on it. now they have upwards of almost 30 fics. that’s character development. anyway…

here are a bunch of fics I’ve enjoyed and loved reading throughout the month of march. I recommend that you read these great fics in april, if you haven’t already.

(all fics with a star are my favorites and if there are two stars then it was a favorite favorite)

1. Perfect Storm (80k)*

What do you do when your best friend asks you and your (now) ex to be the best men at his destination wedding? You can either tell him the truth, tell him you’re not together anymore, and deal with the consequences, or you can pretend you’re still together and roll with it, just pray you don’t spiral. Fake it ‘til you make it. You know, for the sake of the wedding.

Harry and Louis choose the latter.

2. The Night Sky is Changing Overhead (124k)**

Harry is a tattoo artist, Louis is a drama professor, and they meet during an argument at a café.

3. All I Wish Not to Remember (71k)**

What happens when all you had, all you loved, all you held dear is viciously ripped away from you? When your inner core, once filled with love and hope and light, blackens to raw, dark hatred?

What happens when your soul is hopelessly consumed and no matter how hard you try, no matter how hard you attempt to shake yourself out, to rid your tormented mind of the opaque feelings that plague you, all you can see, all you can feel, all you can want is…

Revenge.

A modern adaption of The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. A tragic tale of timeless undying love, merciless revenge, and selfless sacrifice.

The Gatewatch Have Failed Each Task So Far

There’s been a lot of talk on my feed about how the Gatewatch are just waltzing through the challenges they face like a home-made banner at a pep rally. While they are all currently whole in body, and the perceived threat from each plane is no longer actively threatening, follow me down this line of thought.

The Gatewatch have failed at what they have set out to do, every time.

Their name is synonymous with failure.

Dangerous - John Shelby

You had moved to Small Heath from Newcastle two months ago when your grandfather wrote to your mother to tell her that he was sick. He had left his dowry, which he had accumulated after years of work and saving, to you (his only grandchild) and your father felt it was important that you go down to be with him in his last months as repayment for his generosity. So you had packed a few belongings and travelled down to Small Heath.

There were a few things that your grandfather was eager to tell you about Small Heath when you first arrived. It was his home and he was proud of it but he cautioned you against some of the neighbors. The Shelbys, according to your father, were devils. He told you to stay as far from the Shelby family as you possibly could but, if you were to see them, be polite.

“Are they really that bad?” You’d laughed at the stories your grandfather told you.

Suga: You were just enjoying your day off together when the door bell rang. On the front step was a big bear and a basket of fruit. It was from one of your friends back at home. He was sending you your birthday present a few days early. Yoongi would notice and become very quiet. He knew your friend liked you and would be rather annoyed whenever he heard his name. You would ask what was wrong and he would ignore you. He would leave the house instead and come back three hours later with a bigger bear than the one you got from your friend.

“Let’s see him top THAT.”

Jin: You had been having a pretty rough time lately but didn’t want to bother Jin about it since he was busy with his own stuff. Your friend noticed and took you out to your favorite restaurant and got you tickets to a concert that was playing downtown. Jin heard from Suga that you friend had done this all for you and it struck a fire within him. When you got home that night, Jin would be there with tons of flowers filling up your apartment. You’d be rather confused as you walked down the hall into your bedroom. Jin would be there, smiling while holding roses.

“I know you’ve had a hard time and it was nice of your friend to do that but you’re mine. Come to me next time.”

J-Hope: You had just gotten a new promotion at work and your co-worker had decided to surprise you with flowers. It was a small gesture but once Hoseok showed up to congratulate you and saw that someone already beat you to it, he would be rather upset. He would make his way past your desk and right to your co-worker.

“Hi sir I know it was a nice gesture but don’t get my girl flowers again. Thanks.”

Taehyung: He would be very subtle about his jealousy. He wouldn’t make a scene or call out the guy, instead he would make sure to be really handsy with you. He found out that your co-worker was the one who sent the flowers that said “from a secret admirer.” When ever you two would be around your co-worker who was obviously into you, he would make sure to kiss you in front of him and made sure he was looking.

“He needs to know you’re mine and doesn’t have a chance with you.”

Jimin: I feel Jimin would be a bit more sensitive to the subject. He would give you the silent treatment, trying to hide his jealousy. When you got into the car with the flowers your co-worker got you for your birthday, he wouldn’t talk until you guys got home. That’s when he would take the flowers from your hand and set them on the table. He would intertwine you’re fingers, kissing the top of your knuckles gently.

“I’m bad at being jealous because I know at the end of the day, you’re mine.”

Jungkook: You hadn’t seen your friend since high school and had the plan of going to catch up with him. Jungkook was very uneasy about the situation but just let it slide. When you showed up to your lunch date, your friend had flowers with him to give to you. Before you had the chance to accept them, Jungkook would jump in front of you out of nowhere and hold out his hand.

“Hi I’m Jungkook, y/n’s boyfriend.”

Gif not mine.

All you had to do was pick up the tissues and get into your room without being noticed by Sherlock, who was at the kitchen table looking into his microscope. Luckily, Mrs Hudson and John were not in so you didn’t have to talk to them. You loved the pair of them dearly however now wasn’t the best time to speak to them. Today was an off day to you. You woke up not in the best of spirits. Nothing had triggered your bad mood, it was just one of those days. Work had been a bummer too. You had been given a lot of paperwork by your boss and your co-workers had not been pleasant to you. You had left your oyster card at home so you couldn’t catch the bus or tube. You had to walk back to the flat. Normally, you wouldn’t mind a walk but it was raining hard. You just broke down when you got to the door of the flat but had wiped away your tears as you climbed the stairs into the living room of 221B. Sherlock was engrossed in his work so you thought that he would not notice you because he normally does not when he is working. Oh how wrong you were.

“Y/N,” Sherlock said. “I’ve found out what poison…” He trailed off when he saw tears in your eyes as you picked up the box of tissues from the coffee table. “You’ve had a bad day. You tried to sneak in without me noticing your arrival. You had been gloomy this morning so your bad mood had starting this morning. Also, you were happy yesterday evening so nothing big had triggered this. Your mood has worsened throughout the day.” You cried after your boyfriend had finished his deduction. You were tired, drenched by the rain, and you just were not feeling up to anything. Sherlock cocked his head slightly. He had seen you cry before however it was not as bad as this. You were normally bright and happy whereas today you had just completely broke down in front of him. He could tell you felt weak and that you did not want to cry in front of him but you did. Sherlock himself felt a bit disappointed that you were scared to weep in front of him because he was your boyfriend. However he knew that he wasn’t the best person when it came to comforting crying women. He stood up and walked over to you. He wrapped his arms around you and you cried into his shoulder.

You found yourself lying in Sherlock’s arms on the sofa while he absentmindedly played with your hair. You were both drifting off to sleep when John walked through the door.

“Oh sorry!” He exclaimed. “I’ve woken you up! Um… tea?”

“Please,” You replied smiling. Sherlock had fallen asleep. Your mood had definitely lifted though.

What a Time

Relationship: Jason Todd x Reader

Summary:  (Request) Congrats on the 100! You deserve it and more because your writing is so amazing!! Could I request something with Jason again? This au with him as the sorta famous one and him and the reading ending up together please? “You’re sort of famous and we vaguely know each other through bumping into each other all the time but the media thinks we’re dating”

Key: Y/N= your name, L/N= last name, H/L= your hair length, H/C= your hair color, E/C= your eye color

Years ago, when you were still in school, you knew a boy named Jason. He was slightly shallow and brooding, but you knew him none the less, through a series of interesting events. It began when the boy had his first day. The school was one for more troubled kids and you went there occasionally to tutor and help teachers. He walked into your classroom, no supplies or anything.

“Young man, are you in the right room?” Your teacher scanned her list. “You don’t seem to be on my roster.”

“Well,” he scoffed, “I should be, my father told me this is were I’m supposed to be. I’m Jason Todd.”

“Oh, Ms. Tran, he is supposed to be here,” you pipped in. “I’m supposed to work with him. Mr. Wayne had called the other day.”

“Bruce Wayne? Oh! Oh, yes. Of course,” she blubbered. Then she returned to her attendance.

You walked over to Jason and reached out your hand, “I’m Y/N L/N, Mr. Wayne informed the principle you might need someone to help adjusting, so I was asked to come down.” You smiled, waiting for the boy to take your hand.

He dismissed your hand and turned away. “I don’t need a babysitter. And I certainly don’t need you!” He stormed off to his seat and slammed down into the chair.

You gave Ms. Tran a glace and rolled your eyes. She chuckled and began to teach her lesson. You went to sit next to Jason, but the look on his face told you to find a different seat. That was your relationship until three months had passed then you were sent to a new classroom and hadn’t seen Jason again.

Until recently.

You were walking home from your bus stop when you ran into a tall muscly man. He was older, much less chubby, and there was a white streak through his hair, but you knew his mannerisms anywhere. “Jason?”

Jason didn’t like to think of his past or his youth. Hell, most of the time he couldn’t remember there was a time before he was an adult. He couldn’t remember the time he went to school or the people who were there with him. So when he ran into Y/N, he had no clue who she was.

Jason had been avoiding the paparazzi that tend to find pleasure in annoying the Wayne family. He was on his way back from Wayne Enterprises when he decided taking the bus would be his best bet in getting home relatively quietly. He stood with a cap on and an old hoodie, one that he had been given by Roy, and waited silently for a bus that was almost 20 minutes late. But had it not been for those 20 minutes, Jason wouldn’t have run into you.

He felt a nudge, but didn’t acknowledge the passing person. That was until a small voice exclaimed, “Jason?” Confused and slightly surprised this person knew who he was, even in his disguise, Jason turned to face the mysterious someone who seemed to know him. It was a young woman with H/L H/C and E/C eyes. She looked so familiar, but Jason couldn’t put his finger on the exact person.

“Do-do I know you? I mean you seem familiar…”

“I would hope so, we spent three month together,” she giggled, “Come on Jason, think about it!”

“Three month…” Jason pondered his past for a moment delving into something he didn’t like to think about. Then he looked at her smile and remembered. “Y/N? Y/N L/N? From school?”

“Yeah! It’s been awhile. What’s new with you?”

Jason thought about his death, “Not much really. And yourself?”

“Oh, not very much. I finished college, got a teaching degree, nothing much really after that.”

Jason chuckled, “That’s not very surprising, you were very good with me. And I was a pain in the ass!”

“Ain’t that the truth! I’m guessing this is your bus,” Jason glanced behind him, “I should be going myself. Have a good day!”

Jason watched his past slipped away down an alleyway. He sighed and got on his bus, never expecting to see the young women again.

Everything in the Wayne family’s world was calm and quiet for two weeks. Not unusual, but it seemed almost to quiet. Bruce became skeptic about the circumstances and almost shut down the manor and held everyone captive within, but Alfred reminded him that was ridiculous.

Jason was the first to reenter society. He did it discretely, hidden within the shadows of bigger people. He walked down side road after side road, keeping out of sight as best he could. He strolled the streets calmly until he found himself nearing a main street then he began to tense.

He ducked his head further into his collar, he began to look over his shoulders at every turn. Distracted by a sense of paranoia, Jason ran into a small figure.

“Hey! Watch where you’re going,” she yelled. She flipped around to face him with her finger waggling. “Wait, Jason?”

It was Y/N.

“No way…” Jason trailed off. “I thought we’d never see each other again,” he laughed.

“I can’t say I didn’t think the same,” you chuckled. You two smiled at each other for longer than what would be acceptable, not noticing a man had begun to take pictures of the two of you. “Well, I don’t know if I should hope to see you again or be certain we will see each other again.”

Jason just grinned and waved you on your way.

The papers the next day were defiantly a shock to everyone. Tim was the first to find out. He was looking for a clue to one of his cases and came across the pictures. He was confused and he thought he was delusional from lack of sleep. When he was sure he wasn’t dreaming, Tim ran to find Dick, giggle like a school girl the whole way.

“Dick! Look! Look at this!” Tim flashed the paper in front of a half asleep. “I can’t believe this!”

Dick took a minute before understanding what he was looking at. “Hey, I remember her…” Dick thought back to one of the days he tagged along with Alfred in picking up Jason from his school. “She was assigned to help Jason! Wow, who’d’ve thought they’d end up together.

“Who ended up together,” a groggy Jason questioned as he stepped into the room. Dick chuckled as Tim bounced over to the older boy. He flashed the news paper in Jason face and he snatched the paper from him. After one look at the photos, he began to blush.

The headline read: “Brooding Son of Bruce Wayne Finds Darling Love?

Brooding Son of Bruce Wayne Finds Darling Love,” you read. You were in shock. You and Jason had only run into each other twice, but here were pictures of both encounters. How could they think that you and Jason were dating?

You didn’t know how bad this was until you went to work the next day. Your students and co-workers hounded you with questions, some of which you were very uncomfortable with. After that, you decided to actually seek out Jason. That ended up being a much harder thing than just running into him.

You almost had given up hope that you could ever find Jason again. You decided to make one last attempt. You hopped on a bus to the uppity part of town, hoping someone might be able to help you. You sat next to a muscly man, he seemed to be asleep. It was many stops before the man next to you began to stir.

“Sir?” You nudged his arm, “Are you awake? I don’t want you to miss your stop.”

“Y/N?” You knew that voice.

“Jason! I’ve been looking everywhere for you, have to seen the papers?”

“How could I not?” Jason chuckled then looked at you, “You know, you should probably start wearing a disguise.”

You scoffed, “Why is that? Am I going to be hanging out with you more often?” You watched as Jason began to blush. “Wait, you want to get together more?”

“Well…yeah. Maybe I can show you how appreciative I was of you, and put these rumors to bed?”

“How?” You gave the silent man a quizical look, “How do we put this ridiculous-“

“Maybe you will be my Darling Love?” Jason’s face turned bright pink as he asked. He didn’t know what you would say, you and him were never good friends but there was always a tug on his heart whenever he was near you.

The bus had stopped moving when you finished thinking it over. “Okay,” you grinned, “As long as you’ll be my brooding boyfriend.”

Jason just smiled and pulled you into his side, “If you play your cards right, I think that could be arranged.”

Prompt:  258? (Shit! Are you bleeding) Husband!Lin x reader? Please?

I may or may not be posting another story tonight….hmmm…

Word Count: 1636 (a tad bit short)

You loved the life you had at the theatre. It was a bit of a change from your last job, where you were a kindergarten teacher. You loved the kids, but this was a great change from the little ones. Of course, your husband could argue that him and his co-workers were like kindergarteners. And he was partially true. There were days that you had to yell at them during rehearsals.

“Lin! Don’t jump on Daveed’s back like that.”

“Anthony, Lin, Chris, what the hell are you doing!”

The total opposite goes to you.

You hated , no , you despised having company when you had a bad day. All of your friends and colleagues knew that , and when they saw you curse and close the laptop with a loud ‘bang’ , they stayed away from you. You set up the walls around yourself for 6 years of working , and everyone knew it was hard to break it.

Beauty And The Beast// Draco Malfoy: Part 2

Warning: Swearing

Word Count: 1300+

Pairing: Draco x reader

Summary: Y/N just found out Draco’s a death eater and he does some bad shit.

Requested: YEAHHHHH

fandomlover03 wanted to be tagged 🙂   Part one here

Some shit goes down in this

How could you be so badass you thought. You defaced Malfoy with your own words. His face seemed to echo shock back to you as you replayed the scene in your mind. You remind me of the beast you had just to him.
Of course, you weren’t wrong. Draco Malfoy was just as much as a beast as his father was. His father is a known death eater, what else could he be capable of. Plus, his aunt did kill Sirius Black. The apple never falls far from the tree.
Draco suddenly gave you a smirk, bringing you back from your thoughts.
“So bookworm isn’t as innocent as I thought,” He rasped. His demeanor changed from kind to ruthless in a second, it was quite scary. He leaned back in his chair and began to narrow his eyes at you.
“You are a beast,” You told him confidently. “Who else would stand by the side of his death eater father?” He knew you were right. He didn’t want the pressure, but that’s what he was given.
“On the contrary darling, you haven’t seen nothing yet.” You stiffened and pulled your hand away from his. He admitted his beastly self to you. You should have listened to Hermione. In an instant, the start of your weekend turned into a disaster. You should'ent of a started scene with Draco, his mother was equally ruthless as Hermione was smart. But Draco pressed on.
“If you hang out with me, I’ll leave Hermione alone,” He pleaded, he was very persistent. He was also very moody, how could he go from happy, mad, to desperate so quick.
“You’re beginning to get very desperate.”
“Take it or leave it,” he said And maybe somewhere Draco knew you would take his offer. And at that, it wasn’t desperation, it was arrogance. And he would be right because you did want to take the offer. So you opened your mouth and betrayed your friend.
“No.” And from being desperate, he got almost spoiled.
“What the hell do you mean ‘no’?” He looked taken aback. He began to get angry. “I just fucking asked you to go out with me, except the offer.” You had expected this from him. He was a rich and privileged kid that wasn’t used to the word no. He had his mothers money to fall back on. He’s spoiled, bratty and temperamental, just like the beast from your favorite book.
With his aloof and irascible personality, impatience was astir. You had to answer soon.
“Fine. But only for Hermione’s benefit.”
He nodded swiftly and got up from his seat. Nothing happened, it didn’t faze him that he just shouted at you in the library, in fact, it was almost as if he forgotten.
“I expect to see you tomorrow morning to go to Hogsmeade.” It didn’t occur to you until the next day what you had done.

Perhaps your mind was playing tricks on you, but the next day you were excited about going with Draco, a little nervous even. And you wanted to look so nice, just for him. How could you want to look nice for someone you don’t even like? You hated him, yet you felt the need to impress him. So you put the best thing you could find on, and pulled your jacket over your body and headed down to the entrance of Hogsmeade.

As suspected Draco was there with his little smug smirk and gelled hair. One thing was for certain if he ever thought you were going to ever date him, he was unquestionably as boorish and brainless as you thought. You walked up to him and reluctantly smiled Although you did want to see how this would turn out, the second you saw him, you wanted to go home and read. Nonetheless, you looked at him one more time and gave him a fake smile. It was easier that way, you were kind and complimented him when in real like you wanted to do the opposite. So as you walked down Hogsmeade, you had to look like you weren’t hating every moment of your life.

The Three Broomsticks Inn was a common hangout for the children at Hogwarts, it was your favorite place to go. The smoky, dingy and, cozy pub housed you when you needed warmth or a place to read. The butterbeer was unlike anything you ever tasted, and you hung out there so much everyone knew you.
You slid into the booth hidden from the others. He slipped in next to you, wrapping his arm around your shoulder and letting out a sigh.
“It’s cold out there isn’t it?” He asked you playfully, you could tell he was trying hard to make conversation, but it wasn’t working. Malfoy decides to be nice now?
“Sure,” You replied curtly. Draco wasn’t having it, he removed his arm from your shoulder and spoke one more time.
“You wretched bitch, do you understand how many girls would want this?” From the looks of it, you thought. Not many. But you let his ego rise.
“Maybe if you didn’t try so hard we would click better,” This time you smiled at him genuinely.
“You’re right,” He said sweetly. And almost as if a switch was flipped, he was himself. “Did you see Dumbledors new robe, he looks like a damn fool.” So you answered.
“I happen to like him, but I do guess he looks like a fool. He always looks weird, has a long beard.” Draco chuckled next to you, his arm pushed it’s way behind your shoulder again.
“That is true, but what about Madame Hooch, her eyes are so weird.”
“Her eyes do look weird, she’s human so I don’t know her eyes look like that.”

And you talked the day away. At times he would get angry if you disagreed with him. You still couldn’t stand him, but now you had grown a tolerance for him that would help. You looked up at him one more time and then checked the time.
“Draco! We need to go! I have homework to finish.” So as he began to get his jacket, you slyly grabbed his left hand and interlocked his fingers with yours. Not looking at you, and still grabbing his jacket he chuckled.
“I knew you would co-” But he stopped and looked where you were looking. He was just as bad as you thought, you got up quickly, pushing past him to get to the door.  He had the dark mark and you had to tell Dumbledor.
The little town was covered in a thick blanket of white. Footprints from all creatures remained in the snow, getting washed away by another layer that was falling. The wind howled, piling up snow in drifts, blinding the day with ice-white dust. You put your arms in front of your eyes and ran. You had to get away.
You ran out in the cold air as snow fell, you looked back, Draco was gaining on you. So you ran faster, sparking attention as people wouldn’t commonly see two Hogwarts student racing up to the school, while one was seemingly scared out of their mind.
There was so much snow that you couldn’t see.
“Immobulus!” You heard Draco yell. You couldn’t move, nor could you talk. You just stood there scared of what he would do to you. Soon he came into view and looked you up and down. “You won’t tell anyone, darling,” He smiled sweetly. “Because you’re coming with me.”
And you prayed to Godric Gryffindor and all the gods above, that you wouldn’t be killed by Draco the death eater.

“You wish, Nat,” you replied before ushering the next kid forward to take a seat on Santa’s lap.

With a frustrated huff, you considered your current situation. In addition to the awful red and white striped tights that were the bane of your existence, you wore a green velvet dress that fell to mid-thigh, a pointed green hat, and of course, the curly-toed shoes with bells attached. Just to add a festive touch of humiliation.

Imagine Chris finding you incredibly amusing.

It was a slow day at work, you probably only had ten or so patrons eating at the diner. You were so preoccupied refilling the salt shakers and pepper mills that you didn’t even notice your favorite actor, Chris Evans sitting by the corner window. This was the fourth time in a week that he’d been in because of you, yet you had not once spoken with him.

He always sat in your co-workers’ stations and made sure to slip his cap and sunglasses on when they spoke with him so no one would alert you of his presence. He knew you were a fan- from overhearing you swoon over him numerous times with your co-worker, Ally- and was afraid you’d lose your candid personality if you knew he was in the crowd; your brutal honesty, straightforwardness and sassiness was kind of what enticed him to keep coming back each day. You had no idea but Chris Evans found you incredibly amusing.

He enjoyed watching you work, listening to the way you’d interact with customers- both good and bad. You didn’t enjoy your encounters with the snobby and rude customers, but he enjoyed watching your encounters with them. It was interesting to him, hilarious even. He liked the way you’d come up with witty comebacks that flew right over the customers’ heads, the way you’d smile but roll your eyes the second they turn their backs on you, and the way you’d turn down douchey frat boys and the snobby business men who think they can buy you off with the promise of expensive things.

Your IDGAF attitude and your constant sass gave you the reputation of being cold and rude, but those who really knew you- those who really observed you knew you were anything but. Chris knew, he could tell you were actually an incredibly kind hearted person. He could see it from the way you’d draw adorable faces in a child’s hot chocolate; walk elderly folks out to their cars with an umbrella when it rained; confront customers that treated your co-workers unfairly; and wave those who deserved your kindness and didn’t have the spare change with a ‘don’t worry about it’. You were a good person and he could see that.

Chris watched you from afar, once again admiring how beautiful you were. He smiled every time he saw you conversing with yourself under your breath, wishing he knew what you were saying; whatever it was must have been pretty interesting if you had to constantly fight the urge to smile or laugh. God, you were a sight for sore eyes; he could just watch you forever. But he was done just watching, he wanted to talk to you and get to know you.

“Y/N,” you heard Max call your name as he slid an order across the counter. “It’s for the two ladies at table B, just make the latte first. Her friends wants the soy cappuccino after she finishes her meal,” he told you and you nodded, taking the order from him and walking over to the coffee counter. “Just so you know,” he followed you across with a smirk on his lips. “There’s a really cute guy that’s been sitting in my section for the past four days and-”

“I didn’t know you swung that way, Max,” you teased him and he chuckled softly. “Here I was thinking you always had a thing for me, guess I was wrong. It’s okay,” you reached for his hand and patted it endearingly, “whatever makes you happy.”

“One day, Y/N, one day I’m going to think your quick wit is no longer cute.” He told you and you laughed. “You’re lucky today is not that day otherwise I would’ve walked away and not informed you of your secret admirer.” He beckoned his head to the corner window booth and you rolled your eyes, not bothering to look. “He’s been here four days in a row and I think it’s because of you.”

“Me too, that’s why we’ve been talking so much in the last four days.” You responded sarcastically as you began to make the latte. “Honestly, Max,” you chuckled with a shake of your head. “I’m flatter you think every cute guy is here because of me but it’s getting a little old. Can’t you go and bother Ally? She’s cute, she might have a few admirers too.”

“Perhaps, but not this guy.” Max glanced back over at Chris who had noticed the attention he was getting and had now buried his head in his book; he had left his cap and sunglasses behind today. “This guy is definitely here because of you. Trust me, Y/N,” he turned back to you and you sighed. “I’m a guy, I know when a guy likes a girl and that guy likes you. Just- go over and say hello when you’re done with this latte? Humor me a little.”

“Fine,” you huffed and he smiled. “Why are you so eager to get me off the market anyway? Don’t you want me as a backup plan, or something? In case your current relations don’t work out and you realize I’m the girl for you after all?”

“You are far too special to be my backup plan,” he told you and you smiled. “If I want to be with you, I’ll fight for you when my current relations don’t work out. Until then- you’re more than welcome to date and be happy because you deserve that. I gotta go put this order in, go say hello to him when you’re done.” He waited until you nodded before he headed for the kitchen.

You finished making the latte and delivered it to Max’s table for him, since it was on your way to your 'secret admirer’. “Latte?” You asked the two ladies and was about to put it down in front of the lady that nodded when her friend yelled in your face.

“I said after my meal!”

You scoffed and calmly placed the latte down on the table before turning your attention onto her rude friend. “This isn’t your coffee,” you told her with a volume almost equal to hers. “Did you order a latte?” You quizzed, raising your eyebrows at her. “No, so how about you not yell in my face.” The words formed a suggestion but it didn’t sound like one. You turned back to her friend and smiled sweetly, “enjoy your coffee, ma'am.”

Chris watched that entire encounter go down and he chuckled behind his book; he didn’t realize that you were actually close enough to hear him. You looked over at his table and narrowed your eyes, a curious smile on your lips. You walked over and gently knocked on his table, he lowered his book and looked up at you. Your jaw dropped when you realized who was sitting in front of you.

“Oh my God,” you breathed, “you’re Chris Evans.”

“Hi Y/N,” he said your name with a smile and you felt the air knocked out of your lungs.

“You know my name?” A nervous chuckle escaped your throat. “Captain America knows my name.”

“It’s not my first time here,” he chuckled softly. “Plus- and don’t freak out when I say this,” he quickly added with his hands held up in surrender before continuing, “I kind of come here because of you.” Your eyes narrowed but your heart sang 'cause Max was right. “You’re very amusing to watch work.”

“So you just come here and watch me work?”

“You don’t have to make it sound so weird.” He chuckled nervously, the heat rising to his cheeks. “I have breakfast here, I don’t just sit and- Look, I’m not a stalker or anything,” he rambled and you suppressed the urge to laugh. “I just- you’re very pretty and you’re incredibly funny and- Oh God,” he ran his hand through his un-gelled hair, “I’m drowning here, aren’t I?”

“A little bit,” you giggled. “But you’re Chris Evans and I’m a huge fan so- all this is just cute to me.”

“That’s good to know.” He chuckled, scratching the back of his neck. “I’ve been wondering…” he trailed off, a little afraid you’d reject him like you’d rejected other guys before. “If you um-” he swallowed, the butterflies in his stomach being chewed by rats. “I was just-”

“Would you like to have dinner with me?” You asked before he could. “Or maybe grab a cup of coffee, somewhere where I don’t have to make it?” You suggested and his heart skipped a beat. “That way you can get to know me like a normal person.” You joked and he laughed. “Here’s my number.” You scribbled it down on your pad and ripped the page out for him. “Call me some time,” you told him and threw a smile over your shoulder as you made your way back to your counter.

“Well?” Max asked when you saw you.

Before you could tell him what had just happened, your phone buzzed in your pocket. You pulled it out and narrowed your eyes at the unfamiliar number. “Hello?” You spoke upon answering then smiled when you heard the familiar voice.

“Just me calling you some time,” Chris smiled and gave you a small wave as you turned his way. “Think you could squeeze me in for dinner tonight?” He asked and you smiled. “I know you don’t work nights, so…” He trailed off and you chuckled.

“And you said you’re not a stalker.”

Midnight Talks Obi Wan x Reader

request: “Sharing a bed with Obi-Wan, not necessarily smutty but like more like cuteness.”

warnings: none

word count: 337 (very short, sorry!)

a/n: hope you like it! enjoy!

Your day had been long and stressful. Your X-wing broke and you tripped down the steps in front of your coworkers. To top it all off, you ran into Mace Windu, who was not happy with you at all.

All you wanted was to wipe your existence off the face of the earth but alas you could not. It was late and you hoped a good nights sleep would fix your bad mood. You opened your bedroom door to see Obi Wan already laying down between the sheets. He rolled over and sat up to look at you.

“(Y/N)? Why are you getting home so late?” He asked you. You had been dating Obi Wan for a while now and you still were incredibly grateful for how caring he was about you.

You took off your shoes, not even bothering to change into your pajamas. “Very, very long day,” you replied lazily, plopping down on the bed. Obi Wan immediately wrapped his arm around your shoulder and brought you closer to him. He kissed your temple lightly.

“What happened?” He asked. You went into a long explanation about all the bad things that had happened all day. Obi Wan was vert attentive and didn’t interrupt until you finished. He frowned and you sighed, resting your head on his shoulder.

“I’m sorry. If its any consolation, I have embarrassed myself many times in front of Mace and my fellow co-workers. One time I was practicing with Master Yoda when I dropped my lightsaber. It doesn’t sound like a big deal but as a Jedi you are trained from day one to keep a firm hold on your lightsaber. Most people watch us train on their lunch breaks, so 15 people were also watching me.”

You stifled a laugh and hugged Obi Wan tightly, kissing him passionately. He ran is hand through your hair and you pulled away, laying your head on his chest. His heart was beating fast and you smiled, wondering how you got so lucky.
