correct and care cream

What's the difference between a BB and CC cream? And are they worth purchasing?

BB Creams and CC Creams are generally the same thing but usually CC Creams have more skin care elements. Many CC Creams are color correcting meaning they fade age spots, acne scars, etc.

BB Creams (in North America at least) are mainly just tinted moisturizers or light coverage foundations. CC Creams tend to be more creamy and moisturizing and have more added benefits. Different CC Creams will have different claims either moisturizing, anti aging, dark spot correcting, anti blemish, etc. You can find one with claims that fit your skin needs!

If you have dry skin i’d recommend looking for a CC Cream because those are generally more moisturizing. If you have oily skin you may want to try out BB Creams because you can find quite a few semi matte finish BB Creams or try a CC Cream if you have discoloration.

So, if you like a lighter coverage then they are great! I have quite a few CC and BB Creams and I love them for days I want my makeup to look more natural! However they arent very long lasting or great in coverage so if you have oily skin, tend to wear makeup all day or like full coverage you may want to pass :)
