anonymous asked:

Potentially, could Ollivander use an imported core?As in,a small batch of them and not permanently, but only as a one time thing.

Hmm… doubtful. A wood, yes, I can imagine him using a wood that a family member gave to him or that a wandmaker who’s judgement he respects even if he frequently disagrees with (Gregorovitch) gave to him. But core… no. He’s settled into the three he prefers (and given what we see of the American wandmakers, three cores in one shop seems to be unusual) and from my understanding of what makes a wand core better able to channel magic - what makes it stronger -  well… Ollivander’s made a very good selection.

However, this does not preclude him still having wands in stock from his father’s time or from his early experimentation which use other wand cores. He states that he finds Veela hair to be a temperamental core - presumably he worked with that at some point, perhaps for a custom piece, or perhaps just for experimentation - and he says that Thestral Hair is hard to work with - again, he’s presumably worked with them during his experimental years in order to come to these conclusions.

So while I doubt he’d make any such wands now that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have any such wands in stock from when he did use such materials.

Here’s Sho!

Sakurai Sho

Both work and relaxation is done outside of the house, basically.

Spending time with similar-minded colleagues is the best.

about SHO’s Life

I don’t spend much time at home at all really.  Ever since I was a child, whenever I stayed home I would get a headache.  That’s why in the morning after I wake up I leave the house in 15 minutes.  To make sure I am definitely never late, I wake up to an alarm clock that is seriously just as loud as an emergency alarm, and then leave the house right away.  Same at night, when I get home all I do is eat dinner, take a bath, and go to sleep.

On days off too, basically I’m out somewhere.  Ideally, after having lunch at a café or something, I go to do some core training and then shopping, I guess.  I’m not very materialistic but lately, I’ve been impulse-buying clothes more and, the other day, I opened my closet and it was filled with nothing but similar-looking clothing (laughs). That’s why nowadays I am trying my utmost not to buy any more clothes but again, just the other day, I bought a vest without thinking.  Even though I already have 4 or 5 (laughs).  Even with a casual style of a T-shirt and denim, when you wear a vest with that I feel like you make your style look a little more formal.  At night, I end up going out drinking with friends from my school days.  We talk about work sometimes but usually we spend the time without thinking too hard, I enjoy this time as much as I always have.
