cordy connor

Oy, yeah. You reminded me of Cordy and Spike. Yep, those were terrible. I was squicked out about Cordy and Angel and Connor. God that was awful. And Spike. Omg. I could never ship Spuffy because to me that was just a violent, toxic relationship. I liked Buffy/Angel but going with what would have been best for Buffy I'd actually have picked Riley before they ruined him. I know JW said he's a Cap fan, but I really didn't see it. He may have been a fan but I don't think he did Steve a service.

No, he really didn’t. And the weird thing is he’s a comic fan so if he’d actually read Steve’s comics he should know better? Granted Steve has had over 50 writers for just his solo books and each author has had a different take on Steve, of course, but Whedon’s take was particularly horrible. Fun fact, even Kirby and Simon’s 1940′s Steve was a little shit who pulled pranks on his superiors in the Army, no joke. Also, Steve LOVES technology. Like loves it. It was one of the things that made his adjustment to coming off the ice tolerable for him, he actually marveled at all the cool stuff in the future. “I think it runs on some kind of electricity”… whatever Whedon. Moreover, Steve is the first one to make an old man joke. Like, he loves them. And he loves, loves, loves messing with peoples perceptions of him as a man out of time. He legit trolls people with that crap. He is totally able to take the piss in that regard.

Ye-eah, Whedon can bite me with his characterization of Steve. Honestly!

As for Buffy… I could never get into Riley, probably because Buffy wasn’t really into Riley. True he might have been the best choice for her safety-wise, but then he also couldn’t take the heat of her lifestyle, which is ultimately what separated them. He felt inadequate next to her. So I think having support for her position as Slayer and having someone she could count on to have her back and match her strength is just as important. Poor thing, her love life really was a mess and yes, that was all on Whedon.

How the fuck does Darla become pregnant? I still don't understand it. Was it ever explained? It's fucking stupid and makes no sense

Jasmine implies that it was her doing, having Angel and Darla conceive Connor so that Connor and Cordy could then conceive her. But not, it’s never satisfactorily explained how Darla got pregnant.

  • 7. Friendship that never felt real to you.

I really love this relationship in all its nuances and i definitely want it to be explored again but like - Sansa/Margaery is not a friendship. Margaery is using Sansa as a pawn just as much, if not more, than everyone else in King’s Landing. And the fact that she wraps it up in affection and kindness and that makes it easier for Sansa to swallow doesn’t make it any less manipulative. I can definitely see Sansa reflecting back on their interactions and seeing the manipulation there and learning from that and then when they (hopefully) meet again they’ll be on equal footing and maybe even be the only people who fully understand each other’s roles in the game of thrones (arianne, cersei and dany are all playing completely different queengames, but sansa and margaery are very similar imo).

  • 10 Least favorite season long storyline

THE AMY POND’S EVIL PREGNANCY BODY AUTONOMY STEALING CHARACTER REDUCTIVE BULLSHIT THAT WAS DOCTOR WHO SEASON 6. Fucking ATROCIOUS and coming straight after the excellence that was season 5 it was even worse like I still cannot believe that happened. Why terrible? Such disappointment.

Similarly, the season 4 Angel arc. CORDY/CONNOR GROSSSSS, CORDELIA BEING LIKE POSSESSED/VIOLATED FUCKING GROSSSSS, JOSS WHEDON’S WEIRD WOMEN HANGUPS GROSSEST OF THE GROSS. Angel was never my favourite show but that was a low, man. That being said I quite liked the changeups they made for season 5, it’s probably my favourite season of the show. Spike and Illyria definitely helped.

There’s a lot of like, subpar storylines (i watch a lot of cw smh) i can think of but those two are probably the worst. OH AND ALL OF THESE LAST TWO SEASONS OF SONS OF ANARCHY HELL NOPE

  • 11. Talk about a character with a bad story or character arc.

L E A H  C L E A R W A T E R.

DONNA NOBLE. AMY POND. CLARA OSWALD. EVERY WOMAN ON SUPERNATURAL BUT MOST ESPECIALLY MEG MASTERS. JULIET FROM LOST. ADDISON MONTGOMERY. ALLISON ARGENT. LYDIA MARTIN. DEBRA MORGAN. SANTANA. BELLE FROM OUAT. MAJORITY OF NON-CHARMING FAMILY FEMALE CHARACTERS IN OUAT. CHO CHANG. ANDROMEDA BLACK. BELLATRIX BLACK. Like I could literally sit here and talk all week about women whose arcs and storylines have been steamrolled or pushed to the side by their showrunners/creators and it’s like YOU THINK I DON’T SEE WHAT YOURE DOING?? I SEE YOU. [sauron voice] I SEE YOU
