coral shores

Feeling like it’s a long week already?

Take a deep breath and enjoy this shoreline view of National Marine Sanctuary of American Samoa! This beautiful sanctuary protects more than 13,500 square miles of coral reefs and open ocean waters – an area bigger than the state of Maryland.

Meet photographer Amber Mozo, and capture some amazing beach shots from Hawaii and Tahiti in the process.

From Hawaii to Tahiti, Lumiére takes us behind the lens of North Shore photographer Amber Mozo, to find what the ocean gives to her inspite of what it took away. Lumiére is an emotional distillation of the story of Amber Mozo, daughter of iconic North Shore photographer Jon Mozo, who passed away from head injuries sustained photographing Pipeline when Amber was just 9 years old.

Tahiti - French Polynesia

Tahiti, the largest island in French Polynesia, is one of the most exclusive island destinations in the world. Hawaii receives more visitors in a single day, than Tahiti receives in a year.

On land, Tahiti is mountainous, with deep valleys, clear streams and high waterfalls. Off shore, coral reef’s are perfect for diving and snorkeling. The island is also famous for its world class resorts, shopping boutiques, restaurants and spa’s.
