She’s one of my idols. She actually invited me to join her on a 4-day “bacon weekend”. Me, along with only 5 other people, out of how many thousands that read her newsletter? I would have spent the weekend hunting deer and pheasant, cooking them with her, and, obviously, making bacon–which is one of my favorite memories of culinary school.
I was so flabbergasted and honored that she invited me. She emailed me personally about it several times. The only problem was that I don’t happen to have $3000 laying around for airfare and the room at the ranch. She even worked a deal out to get me 40% off, but it still wasn’t doable. :(
One day…one day I will get to hunt and cook with her!!
I won’t be cooking Thanksgiving dinner this year, although I might make a pie or a few side dishes while staying at my sister’s. But if I were cooking, I’d buy a wild turkey, and make some of these recipes from my Thanksgiving article from last year (yes, this year I’m a lazy bastard).
This article is also going to be included in my very soon to be released eBook, which I hope will be out before Black Friday (makes a great cyber stocking stuffer). So let’s consider this a preview/tease for my upcoming “The Cooking Caveman: How to Lose Weight, Eat Healthy, Create Mouthwatering Paleo Recipes, and Piss Off All Your Friends!”
Your videos make me happy…. That’s pretty much all I wanted to say ;-*
Thank you! I take back everything I ever said about Anons (until the next time I say them about Anons). Just for you, here’s the 2nd video I made in the first series of 6 (next series is coming at the beginning of next year). Here it is again: Zucchini Pasta!
More music from the album “The Nerve of Jeff Nimoy.” Available on Jeff Nimoy’s computer, and selected friends and family’s CD players. Anybody wanna come fly with me? No reservations needed. My buddy Tony (on guitar) and I had fun recording it. I was riffing as Sinatra beforehand, but it’s the wrong set-up for this song. You’ll notice I call my buddy by his nickname, Toneyard. Enjoy!
