If you listen closely, you can hear George Michael’s “Careless Whisper” playing off in the distance.

I did this earlier but I forgot to post it. It started off as a facial expression practice then turned into a comic *shrugs*

I wanted to focus on making each facial expression depict a specific feeling.

I have a sketchbook-hoarding problem, i.e. I’ll get a sketchbook, fill 3 pages with lopsided circles and half-erased head drawings, then get discouraged by my fear of “ruining” a nice clean book with crappy scribbles and stash it away in my Drawer of Shame™.  Gotta fix that.  ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

Power Rangers Cookies

  • ¾ cup almond meal
  • 1 ½ cups + 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 8 ounces butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon almond extract
Equipment
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Medium mixing bowl
  • Electric mixer
  • Whisk
  • Rubber spatula
  • Circle cookie cutter
  • Cookie sheet lined with parchment paper
  • Rolling pin
  • Plastic wrap
Decoration
  • Red, yellow, blue, green, pink, and black royal icing in decorating bags
  • #2, # 4 & #12 tips
  • White & black fondant
  • Metallic bronze food paint
  • Mini football cookie cutter
  • Small fondant rolling pin
  • Fondant roller
  • Wax paper
  • Paintbrush
  • Tape

Let’s get started!

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk almond meal, flour, baking powder, nutmeg and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one a time, mixing and scraping in between each addition, and then add extracts.
  5. Combine wet and dry ingredients and mix well.
  6. Divide the dough into 2 discs, and wrap tightly in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 1 to 24 hours.
  7. Roll out the dough to ¼ inch thick and then use a cookie cutter to cut out circles.
  8. Place the cookies onto lined cookie sheets and bake for 12 to 13 minutes.
  9. Cool for 2 minutes on the cookie sheets and then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Time to decorate!

  1. With a #2 tip, outline each cookie in a different color of royal icing and then let them dry for a few minutes.
  2. Use a # 4 tip to fill in each cookie with the same color as its outline. Use a toothpick to smooth the icing.
  3. Use your fingers to flatten out bits of yellow fondant and then use the small end of a #12 tip to cut out circles. Pinch two sides of each circle to make it an oval.
  4. Roll out black fondant and cut out mini football shapes. Cut off the pointed ends of the footballs.
  5. Paint each of the yellow ovals bronze and then use royal icing to attach each oval to a black “football”.
  6. Roll out white fondant and cut out small squares. Use a fondant roller to cut out white belts.
  7. Arrange the fondant pieces on top of each cookie and then use a circular cookie cutter to cut the excess fondant. Remove the excess.
  8. TaDa! Go Go Power Rangers Cookies!

Healthy vegan chocolate chip cookies ✨

Recipe:
Mash 3 large bananas in a Bowl. Add 2 cups of rolled oats, and stir with a spoon to combine - add more oats if the mixture is too runny. Add cinnamon, chocolate chips and other ingredients after taste ( be carefull not to add to much extra, because then the mixture wont stick together ) Scoop the mixture onto a baking sheet and bake for 15 min on 350 (180 c) ✨ enjoy❤️

y’all remember that SU episode idea i posted about where steven, amethyst, and peridot form an edgy 80s-styled rock band, right?

i just thought of a perfect ending for that episode, like if it actually became a real episode on the show

steven, amethyst, and peridot decide to break up the band for Generic Kid’s Show Moral Reasons™, but they throw one last concert in beach city to say goodbye to their fans

in this concert, the three of them get with pearl, lapis, and garnet and the six of them all play one song together. pearl plays guitar along with steven, lapis plays bass, and garnet plays a keytar

and, like peri, ame, and steven, the three of them are now dressed up in gaudy 80s rockstar costumes. lapis’ hair is styled like it was in the new crystal gems

the song ends with peridot yelling “KILL THE LIGHTS” and pearl just fucking. throws her spear up into the stage lights

you know, there’s this weird vibe i’ve gotten from rescues that i just don’t experience with breeders and i think i finally figured out what it is.

breeders ask questions to find out what kind of owner you are so they can place the right dog with you.

rescues ask questions to find out what kind of owner you are so they can make sure you’re the right kind of owner.

breeders understand that there’s a million different ways that people raise and handle their animals, and rescues just don’t. they want your dog to be a pet and nothing more, they want a fenced in yard because obviously the only way to exercise a dog is to let them in the yard unsupervised. they want you to be a homeowner because obviously having a conversation with your landlord is impossible((also?? people move??)). they have this rigid view of what a “good” dog owner is and they’re completely unwilling to bend on any of their views, then pat themselves on the back for sending away people who were genuinely interested in giving a dog a loving home.

tl;dr

breeders want their dogs to go to homes that match the individual dog’s needs. rescues want their dogs to go to homes that match their cookie cutter idea of a Good Home.

The Best Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies

“An old character sheet tucked in the back of a drawer… must’ve been scrapped by Joey.”

Well, I caved and made a BATIM character.

Fannie was to be a character in an episode called “Bendy in the Carnival Flim-Flam”. However, as SillyVision went down hill, the episode was never aired and thus Fannie was scrapped. Her cartoonist notes the character was based off their daughter, and would describe Fannie as having a “playful, yet fickle two-faced personality”, which would’ve played a notable factor to her role in the scrapped episode. I’ll work into more detail about her eventually.
