Summary:After a month apart, Yoongi comes back home with the boys of BTS. After finding a surprise gift from him, you meet up with the boys for a celebratory dinner/anniversary party, but Yoongi has other plans for you.
A/N: This is my fic, I’m just re-posting onto my sideblog.
It was a gloomy day, rain streaking the windows of your small apartment. You were curled up in bed with your fluffiest blankets and your favourite book, when you heard a faint knock.
Confused, you walked to the door and opened it, only to find there was no one there. You looked down the hallway but no one was in sight. Something at your feet caught your eye, looking down you saw a pale pink box with white ribbons tied around it, and a pretty bow resting on top. An envelope sat on the box so you reached down to open it.
It’s been too long since I’ve seen you and I feel like treating my princess to a night out. I know this is last minute, but trust me and follow the instructions inside. All of them. Meet me at the restaurant.
Maybe like you show up unannounced to the wedding in Hawaii you are a gret friend of the groom and Harry gets attracted to you and wants to know you better
Okay so I decided to change this up a bit and make it so she’s good friends with the bride rather than the groom, but here ya go! Short and sweet my friends. ALSO, if ya’ll maybe want a part 2 let me knoooowwwwww.
The Bride and you had been best friends by association, in a way. You were her younger sisters best friend, and somehow she just sort of adopted you as her own sister. Even though all three of you had gone your own ways, you still kept in contact with them as if you truly were apart of the family.
When you found out about the wedding, you had ended up crying on Skype because you were so excited, but you weren’t sure if you would be able to go. At the time, you had just gotten a promotion and you weren’t sure where they would have you when the wedding was taking place. Regardless, you told her if it wasn’t any trouble, to save you a spot at the wedding anyway, just in case.
Now you were in Hawaii wearing a gorgeous blush dress that hugged your body beautifully and fell right off your shoulders as you hurried across the grass before the bride and groom came out. You had informed the groom you would be attending, but neither of you let the bride know, figuring it would be a nice surprise. You of course wanted to stay under the radar until after the actual ceremony, not wanting to distract her in any way.
Of course you knew where your seat was, because the brides sister had come out before anyone else arrived and showed you exactly where to sit, as well as bombarding you with hugs. She was also slightly angry at you for not just telling her sister, because you would’ve been a bridesmaid up there with her in an instant if you had. But alas, she understood the idea of the surprise and she was just ecstatic to finally be seeing you after a few years. So yes, you knew where your seat was, but you what you didn’t know was that it was right next to Harry fucking Styles.
You weren’t starstruck by any means, your job allowed you to meet some of the biggest names in the business, and you knew the groom was good friends with Harry and it would make sense for him to be at the wedding, but you didn’t expect them to sit you right next to him. He was undeniably the most attractive man you had ever set eyes on, and he just looked so good in his cream colored suit and blue Hawaiian shirt underneath. You slinked past him, the wind blowing your dress against his knees softly as you took a seat next to him, unaware of how his eyes followed you discreetly.
Harry had seen pictures of you before around his friends house; you seemed to be in every family photo his soon-to-be wife had displayed, and he had always commented on how beautiful he found you. But no amount of pictures prepared him for how stunning you were in person.
The ceremony went off without a hitch, and soon the crowd was working it’s way into the dining hall and you were being whisked into a million hugs by the wedding party. Once again, you were sat next to Harry, and Harry couldn’t shake the feeling that the groom had done this on purpose.
“M’Harry,” his voice finally floated into your ears, causing you to look up at him and send him a soft smile; this was the first time you two had talked tonight, and you couldn’t help the way your heart skipped a beat at the sound of his deep voice.
“Nice to meet you, Harry,” and you slid your hand into his awaiting one after you told him your name, and just by the spark you both felt the second your skin came in contact with one another you knew this night was going to be a good one.
As expected, the bride started crying and freaking out the second she laid eyes on you, her arms wrapping around you in a death grip as she yelled at you for keeping this a secret from her. You only laughed and shook your head, congratulating her on everything before the nights festivities began.
You were currently watching Harry dance with a little girl who was barely even up to his knees, and you couldn’t help the fond smile playing on your lips. You two had been talking the entire night through dinner, and were hitting it off wonderfully. If anything, you knew you wanted to keep him around even if it was only as a friend. The current song was coming to an end and the little girl he was dancing with ran off to her mother, her giggles sounding across the room as Harry laughed to himself and made his way back over to the table to take a long drink of water.
“Don’ think I’ve met anyone with as much energy as that lil’ one,” he let out an exaggerated breath, leaning over the table and grabbing at his back as if he was an old man who needed a moment, causing you to laugh up at him.
“Hm, might need to take a seat before you end up passing out, old man,” you raised an eyebrow at him and he shot you a mock offended look, his hand resting over his heart.
“M’only two years older than you!” He defended, trying to hide the smile that was fighting to break through. You stood up then, gesturing your head to the dance floor.
“Well then come on, prove you’re not as old as you look,” you shot him a smirk and made your way to the dance floor, looking at him over your shoulder as he stood at the table and watched you for a moment, a matching smirk playing on his lips.
So, the night was spent with you two laughing, drinking, and dancing like absolute idiots, and you both ignored the knowing smiles the now married couple kept shooting the two of you.
It was well past midnight and you were both out of energy and full of alcohol, your body leaning against his as you made your way to the elevators, about to part to your own rooms.
“Ya goin’ to the breakfast thingy tomorrow?” He slurred slightly, his arm wrapping around your waist as you stumbled slightly.
“Don’t have a choice, think if I’m not out of my own bed by 8 the bride will send reinforcements to drag me downstairs,” you were whispering, acting as if the bride was some hotshot big wig with people who could actually sneak into a hotel room, and Harry’s laugh filled the lobby as you approached the elevator.
“Well, think y’should sit next t’me during breakfast,” he nodded his head as he spoke as if he was approving of what he was saying, hitting the up button as he kept a tight grip on your waist, “Think I’d like t’get t’know you a bit better, love.”
“Think I’d like that, too,” you smiled as you stepped into the elevator, both of you hitting your floors.
Like the true gentlemen he was, he walked you to your suite and made sure you got in safely, sending you off with a kiss to the cheek and a promise to see you tomorrow morning.
A/N: This is a ‘soon to be dad’ Jason fic! Gotta love some nervous dad Jason. He’s precious. <3
Today was the day, a very important day. Not only was it your family reunion where you will be seeing family from overseas, of whom you haven’t seen in years. But it will be Jason’s first time meeting them, and you both had a huge announcement.
“What if they don’t approve? We weren’t planning this! What if your family thinks we’re not ready?” Jason was freaking out about your pregnancy announcement.
You took his hands “Jay take a deep breath, you’re stressing yourself out. My family will be ecstatic. My mom’s been on me about having kids since we got engaged” laughing before pecking his cheek.
He let out a sigh before placing his hands on your stomach. “I’m just so excited but I want your family’s approval. I don’t know I guess I’m just nervous about meeting the rest of your family this afternoon.” gently moving his thumb under your shirt.
“Hey don’t worry. My family already loves you. If you can win over my brother you can win over anyone.” Beaming up at him. Leaning down he kissed your lips, then kneeling and kissing your not yet showing stomach. Giggling at the gesture. “You’re going to be an amazing father”
“Think so?” he asked while standing back up to meet your eyes. “I know so“ before pressing a smile filled kiss to his lips. Of which he returned happily.
Later that afternoon you and Jason got ready to go to a nearby cafe where your family reserved for the night. It was a simple event so you just wore a comfortable pair of jeans and a leather jacket that of course Jason had gotten you.
Slipping it on he snuck up behind you. “I love that jacket on you” wrapping his arms around your waist. You laughed before intertwining your fingers with yours. “I just hope it will fit when the baby starts to develop” pulling his arms tighter around you.
He chuckled, “That’s not something I can guarantee. We won’t know until we know the gender”
“Do you want a boy or a girl?” you turned to face him. Wrapping your arms around his neck. “I don’t know. A girl I guess, I always wanted to have daddy’s little girl. But I will love any child we have. How about you?”
“I don’t care as long as they take after you” sweetly pecking his lips. “You’re too good for me”
“I know, now lets go we don’t want to be late” Teasing whilst tugging his arm as you went.
You both decided to walk to the cafe despite the cold because it was only a few blocks away. Though it soon turned into a jog when it started snowing. Neither of you prepared for it.
“Ahh, I hate the cold“ you squealed rushing through the doors. “I know I would’ve driven us if I knew it was going to snow. You didn’t strain yourself did you?” lightly placing a hand on your stomach.
Chuckling you answered, “I’m fine Jaybird” smiling at you before kissing your forehead.
“[F/n]! JASON! [F/n]! JASON!” hearing a young voice barreling toward you both. Seeing your younger cousin rushing over to the both of you.
“Hey kiddo” Jason scooped her up. You couldn’t help but smile at the exchange. He’s going to be a fantastic father. How’d you manage this stud?
“Hey sweetie” you said when Jason set the girl down and she rushed to hug you.
“Auntie Jen and Uncle Thomas are home! And they brought Sammy, Tyler and Clare with them!” She squealed excitedly. Telling you of the arrival of your out of country family members.
“Well lets go see them shall we?” You smiled at the girl before she sprinted into the restaurant. Beginning to follow her but noticing the missing Jason from your side. Turning you saw him nervously standing by the door still.
Softly smiling at him you went and wrapped your arms around him. “Don’t worry so much. I promise they’ll love you almost as much as I do. Because lets be honest no one can love you as much I do” grinning up at him.
Feeling his tense muscles relax. You always knew just what to say to calm him down.
After just embracing him for a while he smiled and tugged your hand, “lets go”
Interlocking your hands you both walked into the restaurant. Immediately greeted by your parents, along with your older brother and younger sister.
After greeting the rest of your family, your relatives from overseas came over. You hugged them all, swinging your younger cousins around. Making Jason a bit nervous about you straining yourself. Jason Todd ever the worrywart.
“And whose this?” Your aunt gestured to Jason. Extending your hand to him, he took it and met your side. “Guys this is my fiancé Jason. Jay this is my Aunt Jen, Uncle Thomas and their kids Samantha, Tyler, and Clare.” Introducing them all. Jason shook your uncle’s hand and your aunt hugged him, saying “We’ve heard so many good things.”
Tyler and Clare in awe at the giant in front of them. They were 10 and 7 meaning they were rather short and had never seen anyone so tall before. Sammy was 17 and was in awe by him in a different way. She pulled you aside as Jason was talking with your aunt and uncle.
“He’s so –” She started but you cut her off. “Handsome, gorgeous, amazing, I know” you whispered happily, making her laugh. You watched as Jason was kneeling down, talking to the younger kids.
“How’d you get so tall?” Tyler questioned enthusiastically. “I drank my milk everyday” he smiled at the young boy. “And muscly?”
“Ate my vegetables and I still exercise all of the time” Jason answered his grin widening. Making you even more excited to get to see these sort of interactions everyday after these following months. Your hand unconsciously moved to your stomach.
Looking over Jason noticed and came over to you. Your cousin having given you both privacy. “You okay?” concern laced in his voice. “More than. Seeing you with Tyler just made me more excited” you confessed. He let a beaming grin grace his face before pressing his lips to yours.
The rest of the afternoon and evening was filled with food, socializing, and games. But no alcohol for you, or Jason, as he promised not to drink until you can again.
Though as the night began to draw to a close you both had yet to make the announcement. “Should we do it now before everyone leaves?” Jason whispered. You nodded, “I think it’s a good time. Everyone seems to be unwinding”
You both stood up and went to the center of the room. “Excuse us guys!” You grabbed the attention of your family. Everyone quieting down.
“Uh.. Jason and I have an announcement to make and we wanted to wait until everyone was together” Saying as Jason wrapped a nervous arm around you.
“This can’t be good” One of your uncles cut in making your family chuckle. You chuckled as well, shaking your head.
“No, it’s actually good news” you paused as Jason pulled you closer.
Everyone was silent for about a half second before anyone registered. Your mother immediately hugged you, with your father right behind her. “Oh my god sweetie congratulations!” laughing happily as you hugged her.
Your father hugged Jason, a first for everything. “Congratulations” patting his back, “Thank you sir,” shaking his head your father chuckled, “What have I told you about the formalities Jason, just Jack is fine.”
After hugging your parents switched. Your father kissing your cheek. Your brother hugged you so tightly and your sister was squealing about being an aunt.
Everyone was elated for you both. Saying you’ll be phenomenal parents and that if you needed anything that they’re there. Making you and Jason breathed a sigh of relief.
Hugging close to his arm, you teased “I told you so.” He smiled meeting your eyes, “That you did.”
There’s an invisible string connecting you to your soulmate.
The legend of the red string connecting soulmates was always a little silly to you. How could possible lovers possibly have one single red string tied to their pinkies that would stretch miles without getting tangled or broken? It was ridiculous. Everyone knew that the string connecting soulmates was much less solid. Something that you always knew was there, but you couldn’t really see it. It was something you felt.
It was true, there were stings that connected soulmates. The closer you got, the stronger the pull is. Once you finally get close to your soulmate, your arms basically get yanked towards each other until you finally touch. When that happens it’s said to cause a euphoric feeling of happiness and then a burning around your pinkie. You’re left with a red ring around your little finger, burned in the skin to show that you’ve found the one person that will make you happy for the rest of your life. Well, that might actually be where the legend comes from.
You had always felt a little tug on your pinkie finger. It was comforting knowing that your soulmate was out there, just waiting for you to come to them. Some days the pull was a little stronger, which meant they were closer. Other days you could have sworn it was barely there at all, and you knew that your soulmate had traveled farther away. It was pretty unexpected when you woke up one morning to your hand literally twitching itself off of your bed. In your drowsy state, you weren’t really sure what was going on. Then you realized.
You’d never gotten up so quickly before in your life. You shot up and threw clothes on as fast as you could, realized that you wanted to be clean for your soulmate, ripped the clothes off, got in the shower, put fresh clothes on, and ran out the door. You let your instinct (and the now aggressive tugging at your hand) lead you to where you needed to go. You probably looked like an idiot running full speed down the sidewalk with your arm in front of you, but people could probably guess what was happening. A grandmother smiled warmly at you as you passed by, and you gave her a quick wave with your free hand.
“Congratulations sweetheart, I hope they’re everything you wished for!” she called out after you had passed her, and you shouted a “thank you” back at her as best you could. At this point you felt as if you were being dragged down the street by a huge dog on an invisible leash. You knew your soulmate was just minutes away and you couldn’t stop the harsh beating of your heart in your chest. The pull didn’t feel like it could get stronger anymore until you suddenly jerked forward, crashing into someone you didn’t even see a second ago.
You tumbled to the ground, taking the other person down with you. You went to apologize, but a sudden searing on your hand took the words from your mouth. You immediately looked at the person you’d knocked down. He was looking at you with eyes as big as saucers, holding his pinkie that was starting to form a red ring around it, matching yours.
“I-I’m Seungkwan,” he stuttered, his soft round cheeks reddening as he took in the sight of you. Your chest tightened, and you couldn’t keep the soft giggles that bubbled from your throat in.
“Hi Seungkwan. Sorry to start forever off like this,” you smiled, brushing off your jeans.

A/N- this is more than likely going to have a second part <3
‘Y/N, are you sure you’re okay?’ Kono asked as she stood at the bathroom door, not knowing what to do, you had been waking up early all week and running to the bathroom. ‘Yeah, it’s just a bad cold.’ You said as you spat the last bit of the horrible taste out your mouth before flushing the toilet and standing to wash your teeth. ‘I’m not so sure.’ She said as she stood up straight. You looked at yourself in the mirror and washed your face before heading out the bathroom. ‘It will pass.’ You said to her, she shook her head. ‘Please go to the doctors.’ She pleaded. You turned to face her and saw how worried she was for you. You nodded. ‘Fine.’ You agreed. ‘Tell the team please, I’ll be in late.’ You said as you grabbed a bag and headed out, she nodded and watched as you closed the door.
‘Miss Y/L/N, have you been sexually active recently?’ the doctor asked. You looked up quickly and nodded. ‘Has your period been late?’ She asked and you thought about it. ‘No, been one time.’ You said and she nodded, taking a note of it. ‘I would like to take a blood test.’ She said and you nodded. She produced a needle, container and a plastic wrap. You watched as she wrapped the plastic around your bicep and tapped your elbow, making your vein more prominent. She stuck the needle in and after the small sting you watched as your blood flowed into the tube. Once it was filled she removed the needle and placed a cotton wool ball over it. ‘I’ll be back with the results soon.’ She and you nodded, chewing your bottom lip. This isn’t good, you weren’t ready to be a mother.
You sat for half an hour going over all the scenarios, and what if’s when the door opened and the doctor walked in with a small smile on her face. ‘Good news, you don’t have an illness but you are pregnant, congratulations!’ She said but she watched your face fall. ‘Is everything okay?’ ‘Yeah, just wasn’t expecting that.’ You said honestly, she smiled and placed a gentle hand on your shoulder. ‘Most woman that come on here don’t.’ She said and you nodded.
You arrived at the headquarters and sat in your office. You had the envelope saying you were pregnant in front of you, but it still didn’t fell real. You didn’t hear the door open and were startled when you heard a cough. You looked up and saw Kono, looking worried. ‘Everything okay?’ She asked as she closed the door. ‘Yeah.’ You said in a whisper. She came and took a seat in front of your desk. ‘What’s wrong then?’ She asked, you looked up and handed her the blood results. She took the results out the envelope and read hem over, her mouth dropped open, she looked up at you then back down, reading them again. ‘You’re pregnant?’ She asked in disbelief. ‘Yeah.’ You whispered. She came around and wrapped her arms around you, giving you a warm hug. ‘Congratulations.’ ‘Do you know who the father is?’ She asked, as she pulled back. you looked out into the bullpen, watching Danny, Steve and Chin. ‘Yeah.’ You said, looking back up at her. ‘Who?’ She asked. Tears started forming in your eyes. ‘Steve.’
It took Spencer twenty minutes before he was able to speak again.
He’d made his way out the city and back onto the freeway, his knuckles white from how tightly he was clenching the steering wheel. Every time you went to speak to him, he just shook his head, sensing that you wanted to talk but that he couldn’t. He was too wound up.
You couldn’t believe that he’d actually told your Mother off. The only person to ever attempt that and come out in one piece was your Grandfather. Reid had stuck up for you….. Despite all of the horrible things you’d done or said to him in the past. He’d had your back.
The anger on his face as he’d stormed out the house had been indescribable, even when interrogating suspects or taking down unsubs, you rarely saw him lose his cool. There was something about it that had been so….. Attractive.
You shook that feeling off, glancing at him as he bought the car to a stop. Traffic… Again.
He sighed loudly, clearly frustrated and then you both jumped as a bright flash lit the dark sky followed by one of the loudest cracks of thunder you’d heard. Seconds later, the heavens opened, rain pounding down on the roof of the car.
“Fucking fantastic,“ Reid muttered.
“I know right. It’s 8pm. If traffic’s as bad as it was coming here, we’re not gonna get home until the early hours. The roads must still be blocked from the accident earlier.”
“And I despise driving in the rain.”
“I know you do.” You reached out and squeezed his arm.
“Thank you…. For sticking up for me.”
He turned to you looking surprised, as if they’re ever been any doubt that he wouldn’t have.
“Y/N of course I’d stick up for you. Your Mother was totally out of line. I honestly didn’t believe she was as vile as you made her out to be but now I think you were perhaps being too nice about her. She has no right saying the things she does.”
“Well still, thank you. It means a lot that you would.”
In the next hour and a half you moved about five miles at most. The combination of the rain and the accident that had delayed you before, making the roads terrible.
Spencer started to signal to turn off when he saw an exit coming up.
“I remember seeing a motel earlier. I think we might have to just call it a night. We’re not going to get home until a ridiculous time otherwise and I’m exhausted.”
“I could drive for a bit?” you offered.
“If the motel doesn’t have any vacancies then you might have to. But if we can get some rooms, then I think it might be better to just stay here and drive home tomorrow when the roads are clear.”
“Okay… Whatever works.”
He drove for another few miles or so, wipers going ten to the dozen until you spotted a Motel with a vacancy sign. He pulled into the parking lot as close to the reception as he could.
“Stay in the car….. I’ll go see if they’ve got two rooms free.”
“Two? Spence we can just share. It’s fine.” Spence?….. Since when did you become JJ?
He clocked it too, his eyes flickering slightly.
“Sorry…… I know you don’t like anyone else calling you that.”
“No it’s fine…. And it’s not that I don’t like I don’t mind other people calling me that, it’s just JJ is generally the only person who does. It just sounded strange coming from you that’s all, but in a good way. And, if you’re sure, I’ll go for the one room. Be back in a second.”
He hurried out of the car, dashing across to the Reception returning ten minutes later with a key card in hand. He got back in the car, restarting the engine and driving the few yards across to another space just outside a door.
“We actually got the last room anyway, so we’d have had to share.”
“That’s okay Spence….. ”
He grinned at you and gave you the key. “You go in, I’ll grab the bags outta the back okay?”
Sliding out of the seat you walked to the door as quickly as you could, getting pelted with the heavy rain quickly soaking through your coat. Unlocking and pushing the door open you hurried inside, surveying the room. Standard motel room decor, basic but neat and the smell of bleach at least told you it was clean.
Spencer came hurrying in moments later, dropping your bags on the floor and slamming the door shut, pushing his now dripping hair out of his face.
“Im hungry.” You’d not managed to eat much at your Mother’s.
He sighed before admitting, “Me too…. There’s a vending machine in reception. Do you have change?”
You chucked him your purse watching him hurry back out into the torrential rain, using the time alone to quickly peel off your dress and climb into your comfortable pajamas.
Shoving your hair up into a loose bun, you used a make up wipe to clean your face before searching for your phone and charger.
Six missed calls…huh? You didn’t recognise the number, but as you plugged it in to the socket it started to vibrate again.
You swiped to answer it, sitting cross legged on the bed.
“Y/N? It’s Lia.”
Your sister? What was she doing calling you. It said a lot about your relationship that you didn’t even have her number stored in your phone.
“I guess you want to have your say too then Amelia. I guess we didn’t really give you much chance earlier.”
Reid came back through the door, laden down with chips, pretzels and cans of soda. Realising you were on the phone, he quietly assembled his wares on the bed.
“Actually no…… Y/N. I wanted to….. I wanted to say I’m sorry. For how Mom reacted.”
“Pardon?” You clicked your phone to speaker, motioning for Spencer to listen.
“I’m sorry….. Look. This is hard Y/N. I know we’ve not always been close and I know that’s probably more my fault than yours…”
“But, you don’t deserve Mom going off on you the way she does. And….. What happened to Will wasn’t your fault. What your friend said earlier made total sense. So…. I’m sorry okay. For everything. And….. Congratulations.”
You didn’t know what to say. Your sister never apologised to anyone for anything. Yet hear she was, on the other end of the phone, sounding choked up whilst she was apologising to you.
“Are you still there?”
“Erm… Yeah, sorry. I’m just taken a back I guess.” Even Spencer was looking surprised.
“I get it. It’s totally out of character and all,“ Lia gave a small giggle. “I do mean it though, and I thought I should tell you. Y/N…… I’d like to be in your life again in someway. Maybe we could try to get to know each other again?”
“Erm…. Oh fuck Lia. Erm sure, okay. Maybe when this baby is born you and George could visit or something?”
“Yes…. I’d like that. I know George would too. I’ll let you go now, but congratulations again okay. To you and Spencer. I liked him by the way, it’s not often someone can wipe that smirk off Mother’s face.”
You ended the call, totally gobsmacked.
“So that was weird.” You turned to Reid, grabbing a bag of pretzels and a coke and tucking in.
“Very….. But, she’s making an effort. Are you going to stay in touch?” Reid was shovelling chips into his mouth.
“We’ll see. I’ll leave it to her to make contact again, but we’ll see.”
You ate, and then cleaned up your empty wrappers, Reid going off into the bathroom to get changed.
There was only the one double bed in the room so you settled down next to each other, you clicking the TV on to an channel marathoning old episodes of E.R.
You snuggled down to watch feeling sleepy, but not quite tired enough yet. Plus…. You were cold.
“Spencer…. Is it totally weird if I steal body heat.”
“How can you steal my body heat exactly?” His confused look made you giggle.
“Cuddling? Ugh forget it… It’s definitely weird. I blame the baby. I think she wants to be close to her daddy.”
“It’s strange isn’t it…. Mommy and Daddy.”
“Very….. But anyway, yes. Steal my body heat. I wouldn’t want to deprive the little peanut.”
Result… He lifted his arm and you snuggled close, resting your head on his chest soon feeling warmer and strangely content.
After two episodes, you could feel your eyes drooping and Spencer’s breathing had evened out. You clicked the TV off, Spencer’s eyes opening again as he felt your weight lift off him.
“Night Spence, thanks again for today.”
You leant in, intending to give him a quick kiss on the cheek as a gesture of gratitude.
But he turned, and your lips brushed the corner of his mouth instead.
You both recoiled slightly, but left your faces close to each other in the darkened room, the atmosphere suddenly as electric as the earlier storm had been.
You weren’t sure which one of you moved first but your lips were suddenly against each other’s again, moving slowly and gently. His were soft and tasted of mint from where he’d brushed his teeth earlier.
He tilted his head, sucking your bottom lip between his, the motion so reminiscent of that night, that damn night. You’d forgotten what a good kisser he was. It was only when he moved his hand to your cheek that you pulled back, eyes wide as you realised what you were doing.
That could not happen.
Both of you apologised hurriedly.
“Can we just…. ”
“Forget that happened and go to sleep. Yes please,” you rushed out, noticing that his breathing was ragged.
“Yes, that. Sorry… Good night Y/N. Sorry… Shit. Sorry.”
“Forget about it Spence. Please. Good night,” you whispered, you both quickly turning so that your backs were to each other on the bed.
What the fuck was that all about?
No. Just…. No.
Your internal argument went on for a good while longer before you finally fell asleep.
