buck if the avengers were animals what animals would they be???? thank you

i assume you mean based on personality, and not which avengers have been turned into which animals lately.
what has happened to my life that that is even a question i have to ask??

anyway, steve would be a dog. everyone is right on the money on that one; hed be big, fluffy, loyal as hell, appetite the size of rhode island and love to play fetch. and also have the bite power to sever a mans hand if he was so inclined. you would trust him with a baby but also to eat the face off anyone who threatened that baby. well. maybe not EAT. he does have SOME standards. theoretically.

tony would be a raven. reputation associated with death, but personality of a class clown–likes pranks, messing with people, and trying new stuff. dedicated to family and intelligent as hell. chatty. tool user. did you know ravens can people-talk? if they couldnt, im sure tony would figure out how anyways.

nat would be a swan. beautiful, graceful, but at the top of the do-not-fuck-with list in most animals books. mates for life and more loyal than you would think, with a take no shit and no prisoners attitude. i have a healthy terror of swans, as does any sane human being.

clint would also be a dog, but not like steve. hed be one of those scrappy little terrier mutts that descend from a working breed that are supposed to do things like kill rats. just as loyal and smart and fun-loving as the big guys, but makes up for lack of size with pure tenacity. and so scruffy its cute.

bruce would be an elephant. smart and social, with strong emotional bonds, generally calm and compassionate, but never something you want to be standing in front of when it gets pissed. also really enjoys peanuts?

thor would be a lion. content to chill out most of the time, and more social than most cats, but also totally down to throw down on a moment’s notice. pretty smart but not somebody you ever wanna cross. majestic as anything.

i would be a bear. likes a lot of food in large quantities, and i would love to sit in a river and let dinner fling itself into my mouth. asleep like half of the time. big and badass but generally pretty chill, and smarter than you might think. also a faster runner than you might expect (that’s not really about me, bears can just run at like 35 mph which is a thought to keep you up at night.) and if theres one thing everyone knows about bears, it is that you do not mess with what they are protecting.
also they are opposed to forest fires?? not sure what that has to do with anything, but i guess i can get behind it

imagine Flug getting sick

he doesn’t tell Black Hat, because of course not, and he’s just dragging himself through the day- keeps on nearly tripping over his own feet, or walking into the doors, or the walls, and Black Hat doesn’t pay it any mind, because why should he.

and 5.0.5 is the first one to actually notice, and they just worriedly make bear-noises at him, but Flug just pats their head like ‘no it’s fine hahaha, don’t worry.’

MASTERLIST, MOBILE MASTERLIST (you can like it and save it for later!)
———————————————————————————————————-
“Y/N…”

“Go, I’ll stay with her,” Magnus states, his hands hovering over your body, “She’ll be okay.”

Jace hesitates as he watches over you, “Magnus…”

“Go,” he commands and Clary nods, pulling Jace through the portal with her.

Your eyes flutter open and Magnus breathes out a sigh of relief, slumping against the wall, “Oh thank god,” he mumbles.

“What happened?”

“Shax demon,” he grumbles, “You fell over the bannister trying to save Ragnor.”

“Is he-“

“He’s dead,” Magnus stammers, his voice shaking.

“Magnus, I’m so sorry,” you pull yourself up before groaning and falling back to the floor.

“Yeah, when you fell not only did you fall hard, you fell onto a vase,” he nods towards your shirt which is steeped in blood.

“How deep did it cut?”

“Let’s just say, you don’t want to look yourself,” he shakes his head, looking slightly disgusted.

“We’d better go,” he stands up, “I’ll portal us back – don’t strain yourself too much,” he instructs you, looking at you sympathetically.

“You don’t have to feel bad for me,” you grumble and Magnus shrugs, “You did take a giant shard of glass to the stomach.”

You shake your head, standing up, “I meant about Alec. I’m tired of everyone treating me like I’m-

Broken,” he finishes for you, “Won’t happen again,” he smiles before his expression contorts into one of concern as he notices your face draining.

“Whoa,” he catches you as you pass out, stumbling into his arms.
—————————————————————————————————-

“So, you’ll give me away?” Alec asks and Jace grins, nodding, “I’m glad we sorted this out,” he hugs Alec .As he pulls way he stares at Alec nervously.

“What’s wrong?” Alec creases his forehead and Jace takes a deep breath, “It’s y/n, she-“

“Jace, I know what you’re going to say. But this is what’s right.”

“I-It’s not that…”

“Then what?”

“When we went to get Ragnor, a Shax demon somehow followed us. Y/N was trying to protect him but she got thrown over the bannister and a shard of glass-“

“Where is she?!” Alec’s eyes fill with worry.“In the infirmary – but Alec, I don’t think it’s wise you see her.”

“What?” his face contorts with confusion, “W-hat are you talking about? I have to see her, I have to-“

“You already said your goodbyes and agreed to stay away from each other. Don’t cause her more pain,” Jace sighs and Alec stumbles backwards, his eyes stinging as he swallows hard.

“I’m sorry Alec, I just think that’s what’s best,” Jace steps forward but Alec steps away from him, shaking his head as though he was in denial.

“I have to go,” his voice cracks, “I have a wedding to-“ he doesn’t finish his sentence and instead stumbles out of the room.

As he passes the infirmary his heart continues to pound harder and harder as though it was trying to escape his chest and find its way to you.

“Alec,” Isabelle appears behind him, “Did you see her?”

Alec stares at her, beads of sweat dripping down his forehead. She presses a hand to it, “You have a fever.”

“I’m fine,” Alec mumbles, pulling her hand away, “How is she?”

“She’s severely concussed and she’s lost a lot of blood.”

“Izzy…”“She’ll be okay. It’ll just take some time.”

“How much time?”

“Let’s just saw you won’t see her at the wedding.”

Alec runs his fingers through his hair, running his hands from his hair down to his face and burying his head in them.

“Hey,” she whispers, pulling them away, “She’ll be okay.”

“The last thing I said to her was that I didn’t want to see her again – Izzy, I didn’t mean – I didn’t mean like this, I- I-

“I know,” she pulls him into a hug, rubbing his back, “And she knows too.”

“Jace won’t let me see her…”

“I think that’s for the best Alec. I’m not sure she could take seeing you looking all strapping and handsome in your suit,” she laughs, fixing his collar.

Alec catches her hand, “Stay by her side for me, will you?”

Isabelle nods, “Of course.”
—————————————————————————————————-

As he stands at the alter, Alec’s mind flashes to the exact moment he had broken your heart.

“Alec, what are you talking about?”

“I’m marrying Lydia.”

“That’s not funny,” you roll your eyes, going back to hanging your clothes up.

“It’s not a joke.”

You stare at Alec, “What the hell are you talking about?”

“It’s done.”

“What’s done?”

“I think its best we don’t see each other from here on after.”

“Alec,” you pull him back by his arm but he rips it out of your grasp, “I don’t want to see you again.”

“Alec?” Lydia hisses and Alec snaps out of his thoughts, clearing his throat.

“I’ll ask again – Do you Lydia, take Alec to be your lawfully wedded husband?”

“I do,” she smiles nervously, her eyes on Alec.

“Alec, do you take Lydia to be-“

He doesn’t,” Jace interrupts, “Not yet, anyway,” he grumbles, pulling Alec aside.

“What the hell are you doing?”

“You need to go to the infirmary.”Alec’s eyes widen, “What’s going on?”

“Y/N has some internal bleeding – something about the glass travelling through her blood stream or something – I don’t know. But you need to go see her, Alec, while you can.”

Alec doesn’t hesitate for even a moment, bounding down the aisle as everyone’s stares and whispers turn to a blur. As he reaches the door to your room he hesitates, his hand on the handle. Your screams can be heard echoing down the halls but they momentarily subside as Alec takes a seat beside you.

You suck in a breath, wincing.“Y/N…” his eyes well up as he moves hair away from your forehead, “I’m – I’m so sorry,” he cries, burying his face by your side.

You run your fingers through his hair, before letting out a cry of pain.

“We have to sedate her,” the doctor states, pushing Alec out of the way. He presses his back against the wall, his breathing heavy.“What’s going to happen to her?”

“We have to take her into surgery. After that, only time will tell.”
—————————————————————————————————-

“Hey, you’re awake,” Isabelle squeals and you grimace as she wraps her arms around you, “Sorry,” she laughs, pulling away.

“You really scared us,” Clary sighs and Jace nods in agreement before he notices your eyes wandering.

“You’re looking for Alec.”

You slowly nod and Jace looks at the floor, “He went through with the wedding.”

Your throat closes up at his words and you force a smile, “Oh.”

“He’s in his room if you want to see him,” Isabelle states, her eyebrows furrowed together as she stares at Jace, “Doc says you can walk.”

You nod, slowly pulling yourself out of bed and Clary steadies you, a grin on her face.

“You’re creeping me out,” you stammer, staring at all of them as they stare back at you in amusement, “Did you take some of the stuff they put me on?” you ask and they all grumble, their expressions dropping.

You slowly walk towards Alec’s room, one hand on the wall for support. You hesitate outside his room before knocking, “Its y/n,” you call out, straining.

There’s no answer and you slowly turn the knob, pushing it open but the room is empty. You slowly make your way back to your room, pushing the door open and screaming as Alec jumps out from behind it.

“Y/N!”

“EUGHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH” you scream in surprise before putting your hand over your chest, stumbling backwards and clutching your side in pain as you land on the floor.

Alec’s eyes widen in concern as he pulls you up, his hands on either side of your face and examining you. Your eyes wander around the room.

“Alec, what is all this?” you whisper in amazement as you look at the room which was filled with yellow roses, yellow balloons and even a life size yellow teddy bear.

Your face drops, “Guess Lydia’s favourite colour is yellow too, huh?” you mumble, “Though, it’s not like I died, how did they manage to kick me out of my room so quickly?” you grumble, letting your fingers trace over the petals of the flowers.

Alec looks at you in confusion, “W-hat? No, these are for you…”

You stare at him in confusion, “For me?”

He slips his hand into yours, “I thought I was going to lose you…” he traces a fingers down your cheek, delicately tracing your lips, “Look at you,” he whispers before pulling you into his chest.

You stay there for a moment before pulling away, “Alec…”

“I love you,” he whispers, “It’s always been you and it will always be you.”

“Alec,” you smile crookedly, sniffling as tears trail down your cheeks, “I love you, but we can’t change what’s already happened.”

“No one told you?”

“Told me what?”

“Nothing – Nothing happened,” he states and you choke, “W-WHAT?!”

“Nothing happened. No marriage, not even a kiss.”

“J-Jace said you went through with it.”

“My bad!” you hear Jace call out from down the hall, a smirk evident even in his voice.

You shake your head laughing, “I’m so embarrassed,” you chuckle, wiping away at your eyes with your sleeves.

“Now you know I still love your idiot ass – I should’ve made you work harder,” you sigh, “Should’ve punished you a little.”

“Trust me, you couldn’t have punished me more than the way I felt watching you in surgery.”

He presses a kiss to your forehead, “I love you, I love you, I love you,” he whispers continuously, peppering kisses all over your face before he returns to your lips.

“Let’s go away for a while,” he suggests, “How does France sound?”

“It sounds far away and time consuming.”

“So, perfect for us then,” Alec grins.

“Where’s Alec and what have you done with him?” you scoff.

“What would you say if I told you I have two honeymoon tickets to Paris?”

“That’s sad… and so, so wrong,” you giggle.

“But, this-“ he wraps his arms around your waist, “This is right.”

“Then I’d say ‘Fuck yeah let’s hook up on top of the Eiffel Tower’.”

Alec blushes, “My mum is in the next room,” he mumbles, his cheeks a bright shade of red.

“Well, I hope she has earplugs so she doesn’t hear us doing this,” you laugh, pulling your shirt over your head as you pull Alec onto your lips.

rebloggedliked  asked:

I want to say that I love your writings but that doesn't do it justice. I look forward to them. Also, can I ask for one we're reader is a tomboy that acts flirtatious and confident- but it's really to mask very low self-esteem- and secretly crushes on Mcree. They'd never ask because of this even though they've been best friends since forever. Somehow, Jessie finds out and uses this to tell reader about his feelings for them (you can use your imagination for the end). Thanks you for reading this!

((A/N - you are too kind! I hope you enjoy 💜))

You wished you had a hat. Not a cowboy hat like Jesse’s, but just a beanie or a cap or something. Your locks kept on being flung into your face by the wind, no matter how many times you tucked them behind your ear. You felt self-conscious as you hadn’t washed your hair today. A nice hat could cover it up. Granted it was a nice day, and the small inconvenience was probably worth it because the view from the café’s garden was incredible. Perched on the peak of a grassland, you could see rolling hills for miles, with the odd patch of darkened woods where if you looked closely, wild rabbits could be seen hopping around. At least you could, if your view wasn’t obstructed by hair.

“Maybe y'should get the chop.” Jesse observed, sipping at his beer in the dark green bottle.
You huffed at him, holding your hair in both hands as makeshift pigtails, which made him cackle.

“Maybe you should let me borrow your hat.”
“No way, doll. Should'a brought your own.
“Please? How am I supposed to enjoy our lovely day out if I can’t even see.”

Now it was Jesse’s turn to huff. Putting his bottle down on the worn metal bistro table, he gingerly took off his hat. Swooping your hair over your right shoulder and holding it there, you reached over and used your left hand to ruffle his mop as a thank you. He placed the hat down on your head forcefully.

“Oi. Not necessary.” You pouted, plaiting your hair skillfully.

He grinned at you.

“What?”
“Howdy, pard'ner.”
“… What?” You asked again, still confused.
“Your hair. My hat. You look like a proper cowgirl.”

You snorted. Jesse picked up his beer.

“Comin’ from the legendary Jesse McCree himself?” You exaggerated the southern belle accent, placing a hand in the centre of your chest.

He nearly spat his drink over you, but managed to swallow it.
“My goodness, (Y/N). Is that really what I sound like?”
Eyes wide, he wiped a hand over his smiling lips to get rid of a spatter of beer.

“No, but you have to admit you do put it on sometimes.”
“Alright, I will admit that. Only if you admit ya like wearin’ my hat.” He smirked devilshly.
You smiled, but your brows were furrowed as to say of course you did.
“Jesse.”
“(Y/N).”
“Half of my wardrobe is made up of your old clothes.”
“No. I have to keep buying new clothes because ya keep on stealin’ them.”
You raised your eyebrows and tilted your head, laughing.
“You have a point. What’re best friends for if you don’t share clothes?”

You managed to take a swig of your beer, now that your hair was out of the equation.

He was still looking at you, half a smile on his lips.

“What?”
“Nothin’. Jus’ like bein’ here with you is all.”
“Cute. Now stop being sappy and finish your beer. I want to buy a hat.”
His eyes narrowed at you, keeping contact until he gulped the last drop. Jesse plonked the bottle on the table, followed by a satisfied ‘ahh.’

“I’m surprised you’re not g'na keep that one.” Scraping his chair back he nodded to the leather material protecting your head.

“I haven’t decided yet. We’ll see how lucky I get.”
“You’ve got me. I’ll say you’re pretty darn lucky.”
A dust of pink scattered your cheeks as you rolled your eyes at him and stood up.

He was your best friend, and had been for a very long time. Okay, there were times that you had thought of him as more, but you didn’t want to ruin what you already had. You’d watched too many TV shows and movies where friends decided to be in a relationship and they’d ended up breaking up and not talking to each other again. You knew better. You hoped Jesse knew better too. However, you hadn’t been in a proper relationship in a very long time, your last one ending on somewhat bad terms. It really put a damper on your confidence, and you weren’t particularly keen to go through it again.

Yeah, and Jesse was there to comfort you after the breakup.

That’s because he’s my best friend.

You like him.

Of course I do, he’s my friend.

That’s a cover up and you know it. You like him.

Your lips narrowed and brows furrowed at your internal battle.

“You okay, doll? Y'look a bit outta it.”
“Hm? Oh yeah, I’m fine.” You put on a fake smile and grabbed his hand, pulling him out of the café.

His warm, large, firm hand that could easily make you bend to his will.

Woah there. Not in public.

Suddenly realising how clammy your palms were, you instantly pulled your hand out of Jesse’s grip and looked back to flash a quick smile to reassure him.

Stepping into a clothing store you picked up the first hat you saw, even if it was in the men’s section. You carefully took off Jesse’s hat and handed it to him to hold. Shoving the grey woollen beanie on your head, you span and turned to look at Jesse expectantly.

“Well?”
“Not g'na lie. You look like a female Reyes.”
You snorted and pulled the hat off, a few strands of your hair coming loose. Jesse came forward and gently brushed them behind your ear. He pointed to a cap.
“Whatta ‘bout that one?”
You put the beanie back on the hook and tried on the cap. You raised an eyebrow.

“Grungy.”
“You’re too old to even know what that word means.”
“’S'cuse me?”
You chuckled, reaching up on your toes to pat his head. You’d never really noticed how much taller he was than you.
“It’s okay, sweetie. We all get old one day.”
You turned around to look in the mirror just in time to miss Jesse blush.
“I might get this one. Seems okay.”
“Yeah, suits ya, doll.”
You smiled at his compliment, your eyes catching in the mirror.

Taking the cap off and flattening the rest of your hair, you made your way over to the tills to pay.

“Hi there! Did you find everything you needed today?” The cashier asked.
“Yeah, thanks. I only needed a hat as Mr. Grumpy Pants got annoyed I had to borrow his.”
You like to think she let out a genuine laugh.
You paid for the hat, joking around with the cashier while she put it in a bag.
“I hope you and your boyfriend have a lovely rest of the day.”
“Thanks!”

Wait. What?!

You span around on your heels, too embarrassed to correct her.

You are just friends.

That’s bullcrap and you know it.

Stop. There’s nothing more.

You hold hands. You wear his clothes. You enjoy being in each other’s company. You’ve seen the way he looks at you, right?

Shit.

You pulled the hat out of the bag and tore the tags off. You stuffed it on your head, grinning at Jesse.
“Now I don’t have to steal yours.”
He looked at you, blank faced.
“I heard what the cashier said.”
“You did? Oh. Funny, huh?”
“You didn’t correct her.”
“Erm, nope. Sorry? I guess.”

He broke into a grin.

“Don’t apologise.”
He threw his arm around your shoulder as you both walked down the street.

“Have you ever imagined us being t'gether?”
“I mean.. That’s a full on question.”
“Yae or nae, is all I need.”
“Okay, sure.”
“Good. So’ve I.”

You stopped in your tracks and looked up at him, the brim of your cap casting a shadow over your face.

“You have?”
“Di'n’t I jus’ say that?”
You pressed your lips together.
“Well.. How did it pan out?”
“We were happy. We’ve known each other for such a long time, (Y/N).”
“I know we have, but I don’t want to ruin what we already have.”
“You pulled your hand away from me earlier.”
“Yep.”
“What was that about? Did'ja get freaked out it seemed we were more than ‘friends’?” He exaggerated friends with his fingers doing air quotations.

He needed to stop changing the subject too quickly, he was catching you off guard.

“Er,” you coughed slightly, “Sure.”
You dipped out from under his arm and started walking over to a vacant bench. He was immediately behind you, you both sitting down at the same time.

“I don’t wanna do anythin’ that makes ya feel weird.”
“It’s weird even talking about it.”

Jesse let out a hearty chuckle. He put his hand on your thigh and his chocolate eyes met yours.
“Seriously, (Y/N). I’ve noticed the way ya look at me.”
You glanced away, feeling like a deer in headlights the way he was staring at you so intently.
“We can go slow. Everything would still be the same. I’ll still be the same ol’ Jesse McCree ‘nd look after ya. There’d just be sex every once in a while.”
You snapped back to look at him, mouth agape.
“Jesse McCree. We are in public!“
He grinned at you wolfishly.
“Well? Whadd'ya say?”
“I-”
You weren’t used to being put on the spot.
“Sure.”
He encased you in a bear hug.
“Y'all have no idea how long I’ve waited for you to say that.” His voice slightly muffled from being buried in the crook of your neck. You leant into him, smiling.

See, was that so difficult?

You hated your internal voice. She was always right.

“Wait ‘til I tell everybody back at base.”
“Hey, we haven’t-”
“It’s official, (Y/N).” He sat back and grinned. “C'mon!”

He dragged you from off the bench, headed to where the car was parked, practically bouncing around like an enthusiastic puppy.

You shook your head to yourself and smiled. What on earth had you gotten yourself into.
