The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind - Armor

Developed by Bethesda, The Elder Scrolls is one of the longest lasting RPG franchises in video games, with the most recent release being that of Skyrim. Before Skyrim and Oblivion, Morrowind was a breakthrough for the world of RPGs, existing as an open-world fantasy game on both XBox and PC that won over 60 awards (including Game of the Year).

Morrowind takes place in the land of Vvardenfell, a Dunmer island within the continent of Morrowind. It focuses in on Dagoth and other dieties, and sees Imperials and other humans as more outsiders, compared to Skyrim and later titles. Part of the success of Morrowind, however, is the expansive nature of the game, and the level at which it’s filled out: there is endless variety in the armor that you can outfit your character with: Daedric armor, chitin armor, armor fashioned of iron and steel, or iron of bronze. Many of the human armors (Imperial) take reference from real-world conquistador armors, while armor for the Dwemer, for example, is much more “out there”.

Mortal Kombat X- Ermac

Mortal Kombat is a name synonymous with fighting games- one of the most memorable and prolific in the middle era of arcade-style video games. Ermac first appeared in Mortal Kombat 3, although he was rumored to exist as early as the first game, a glitch of sorts that eventually found its way into being a true character . He is the fusion of souls that have been destroyed in Outworld’s wars, a legion that speaks in the third person, with powerful telekinesis and teleportation based abilities.
