Concept Design of a futuristic weapon platform using case-less ammunition, heavy CHF-B (cold hammer forged barrel), NRPC (nylon reinforced polymer chassis), ergonomic extendable stock with integrated monopo. Modular for either Human and Non-Human use. Chassis can be attached to frames of choice with the rail-track on the bottom side. Using EOI (External Optic Interface) it can be suited to fulfil multiple roles with few adjustments of optics, barrel and ammunition.
Bedouin Genji concept. A lot of the concept art shows
characters without their headgear. I will also note that
Okami Hanzo has short stubby hair and his pigtails aren’t real and I am
very upset. On Bedouin Genji, the book says: Many of Genji’s skins reflect different aspects of his Japanese ancestry, but there were some exceptions. Bedouin represents an era in the hero’s life when he wandered the globe, trying to make peace with his mechanized body. This theme also tied in well to the fact that the hero is an ‘assassin’ - a word with Arabic origins. The developers paid homage to this connection by incorporating scimitars and Middle Eastern emblems into the design.
Young Genji and Blackwatch Genji concepts. On Blackwatch Genji, the book says: [The developers] made his armor feel like a mishmash of parts, symbolizing the hero’s struggle to accept what he has become. The use of red throughout the skin also helped to emphasize his uncontrollable rage.
Sentai Genji concept (his scarf goes into the binding so I had to cut it off, sorry D:)
(Genzo?) concepts. They started as a single character, the book calls
him Assassin. He seems to have always been robotic/cyborg in nature, and
sadly they don’t have any additional concept iterations of Hanzo as a
human character or I would have done a Hanzo post too.
Genzo concepts (rifle on the far left character ran into the binding but it is very long, like a sniper rifle)
Genzo concepts (sword on the far left character ran into the binding)
Castle bell concept (it used to be a lot scarier!) and Shimada logo concepts. I think the logos are interesting because two of them show a dragon and a wolf instead of just double dragons.
Hanamura concept - this was also in the pitch deck for Overwatch, it was
used to sell the company heads on the game. In the pitch deck it was
called “Kyoto Temple”. On Hanamura, the book says: Apart from being
iconic to Japan, the [cherry blossom] trees acted as a secondary accent
color for the entire environment. To push this effect even more, the
developers made the cherry blossoms emit pink light.
The MFC and their ejection system in fallout reminds me of old fashioned open top revolver. On the other hand, I find lasmusket that are used by minutemens really aweful. So I did this, based on the AER9 and a Colt Paterson.
I might 3D model it and mod it into Fallout 4, someday.
