An F/A-18E Super Hornet assigned to the Gunslingers of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 105 performs an arrested landing on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69), the flagship of the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group. Ike is underway conducting a Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX) with the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group in preparation for a future deployment.

Patrolling the global neighborhood.

Ships from the John C. Stennis Strike Group, including (in second photo) USS Chung Hoon (DDG 93) and USS Mobile Bay (CG 53), conduct a show-of-force transit in the Pacific Ocean. The Sailors from the John C. Stennis Strike Group are undergoing Composite Training Unit Exercise and Joint Task Force Exercise (COMPTUEX/JTFEX), the final step in certifying to deploy.
