This is from 2013 but here’s a 2017 mood

anonymous asked:

How would Bendy react when 3D animation becomes a thing?

I like to think he’d find it interesting. Especially with how animation has grown over the years. I like to imagine a modern version of whatever Bendy’s show was being a lot like gumball (or maybe a lil like animaniacs) and would play around with different styles of animation, occasionally.

Friends of Frederator, Studio Zmei, want to make their animated series idea a reality! Go to their Indie GoGo page to help make the pilot of The Golden Apple. Every little bit counts!

Lea Michele Joins ABC's Daveed Diggs Comedy
The actress will not return to Fox's 'Scream Queens,' should the anthology be renewed for a third season.

Lea Michele has booked her next act.

The Glee and Scream Queens favorite has joined the cast of ABC’s untitled city mayor comedy pilot, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

From ABC Studios and Hamilton’s Daveed Diggs, the comedy explores what happens when an outspoken, idealistic rapper Courtney (Search Party’s Brandon Micheal Hall) runs for office as a publicity stunt. When he actually gets elected, he surprises everyone (including himself) when he has a natural knack for the job and slowly transforms city hall.

Details on the role Michele will play were not immediately available as the part is being adjusted to specifically accommodate the actress. The character originally was planned to be Courtney’s chief of staff. It’s unclear if that will remain as the part continues to shift with Michele’s commitment to the project. The ABC comedy marks her first pilot since Fox’s Glee and first TV series regular outside of the Murphy universe.

For Michele, meanwhile, this marks her follow-up to Fox’s Scream Queens. The horror-comedy anthology from exec producer Ryan Murphy remains on the bubble and awaits word on its third season. Sources say Murphy released Michele from her deal for Scream Queens. Michele’s casting does not have any bearing on if the series returns. Instead, it means her character of Hester is not going to be returning for a potential third season.

Jeremy Bronson (Speechless) will pen the script and exec produce the ABC Studios comedy alongside Diggs, Jamie Tarses, Scott Stuber and James Griffiths, with the latter set to direct the single-camera comedy.

Michele, whose credits also include New Year’s Eve, is repped by WME and Untitled Entertainment.

Alice’s Wonderland

Alice Comedies series
animated short film history
Release: 1923
Country: USA
Director: Walt Disney

“Alice (Virginia Davis) visits an animation studio, where the animators (including Walt Disney) show her various scenes on their drawing boards. A few of them: a cat dancing to a cat band; a mouse poking at a cat until it moves; a couple of mice boxing, while the animators crowd around cheering and acting as corner-men. That night, she dreams of taking a train to cartoon-land, where a red carpet reception awaits. She appears in live action. They have a welcoming parade, with Alice riding on an elephant. The cartoons dance for her, and she dances for them. Meanwhile, the lions break out of the zoo. The lions chase her into a hollow tree, then into a cave and down a rabbit hole. Finally, she jumps off a cliff and awakes back in her bed.

Disney, animator Ub Iwerks, and their staff made Alice’s Wonderland while still heading the failing Laugh-O-Gram Studio in Kansas City, Missouri. This film was never released theatrically, but was instead shown to potential film distributors. After completing the film, the studio went bankrupt and was forced to shut down. After raising money by working as a freelance photographer, Disney bought a one-way train ticket to Los Angeles to live with his uncle Robert and his brother Roy.

In California, Disney continued to send out proposals for the Alice series, in hopes of obtaining a distribution agreement. A deal was finally arranged through Winkler Pictures. Because of a recent falling out with Pat Sullivan, the studio needed a quick replacement for their centerpiece Felix the Cat animated series. Disney convinced Virginia Davis’s family to bring her from Missouri to Los Angeles to star in the series.”
