Come faccio ad escluderti dal mio mondo se il mio mondo sei tu?

Tumblr witches! Assemble!

Hi, Tumblr witches! My name’s Clare. I’m currently a candidate for a Masters of Fine Arts in poetry. Although my degree is in poetry, I am taking a class in creative nonfiction/the essay/journalism. For that class, I’ve decided to write an extended piece that investigates the increasing popularity of teen girls practicing witchcraft: why teen girls are so interested in it, and what that says about this specific cultural moment for young women.

To that end, I’d like to interview some teen witches! Because I’m particularly interested in girl- and womanhood in this piece, this interview is only open to girls between the ages of 14 and 18 (yes! This includes trans girls). It does not matter what kind of witchcraft you practice, so long as you identify as a witch!

I need to figure out what I need to do in order to make this interview both legal and ethical; it may mean that, for those of you under 18, I need to send out permission forms and waivers to be signed by your parents/guardians in order to conduct interviews. It will almost definitely mean not using your real name. I don’t know. All I know is that there is a chance this essay will be published, and I don’t want it to threaten the group I’m trying to give a voice to.

Nonetheless, I’d like to hear from you, if you’re interested. Send me a message on here if it’s something you’d want to take part in! I probably will only be able to interview two or three people, but I want to get a sense of how people feel about this. I will not respond to your message until I have a better picture of what this will entail for everyone’s safety and well-being.

I hope to hear from some of you soon!

Love and light,

Questlove posted the address where we can send Lauryn Hill letters, flowers, cards, gifts of support while shes in (OMGWTF) jail.

Come on tumblr. I have seen you rally in amazing ways for some amazing things. If you are a fan of Lauryn, Hip Hop, or if you just want to send support… this is your time to shine. A card, letter, postcard… anything.

Spread the word.

Me as a parent
  • Child:Mommy, sing me a lullaby please~
  • Me:Okay.
  • Me:I just got your messages~.....Every morning I wake up to the same sweet sound. Picking up my cell phone that's been ringing-
