As an artist I found color correspondences on this site to be so USEFUL, except they’re missing so much! The more I dug the more it seemed that way across the board. I didn’t feel for my practice that bright red and dark red evoked the same reaction, so I opted to make my own correspondence list.
Every color on this doc was carefully selected to be representative of that “group” of colors, ie. bright pink or neon blue, with each color including an hex code that best sums up that color group. Color correspondences were taken not only from pre-existing materials, but from research (still ongoing) surrounding that color. This includes areas the color is found in nature, art or the world, as well as emotional responses evoked in myself. Found Here (My Correspondences Doc, which includes many sources used for colors!)
For my practice this list is used across candles, fiber and art.

10 Ways to Enchant Your Breakfast: Everyday Witchcraft
✨Use herbs that match your intent for the day in an omelette or scram: basil for harmony and warding, parsley for protection, Rosemary for matters of the heart, etc.
✨Sigil infused Pancakes. This can be done a number of ways. If you’re fancy, you can cook it into the pancake by doing pancake art with the batter in a piping bag, or you can cook it in with chocolate chips or berries. You can also simply do the sigil afterwards with some syrup or other toppings.
✨Enjoy a magical tea with your morning meal. Bonus, read the leaves to see how your day will go, and anything to look forward to or watch out for.
✨Keep something constant in your meal each morning, whether it be making the same order at a coffee shop, or sitting in the same place to eat, and use the familiarity and constance of that to ease stress and bring about stability during the rest of your day
✨Find a food that makes you feel great and use it to aid glamours when you want to feel more beautiful or confident.
✨Do you have a lucky number or number correspondences that match your intention for the day? Try cutting your food into that many pieces, dividing it up into groups of that many pieces, or chewing each bite that many times as you focus on your intention.
✨Use some color magic by choosing brightly colored fruits that match your intention: strawberries for vitality, oranges for self expression, blueberries for tranquility, and so on.
✨Share some food with your deities. It can be easy to rush and get stressed in the morning, but if you can make some time to talk to your deities in the morning, it can really brighten up your day. Offer a little of your food to them as well, if that’s something they like.
✨If you’re someone who likes to make tinctures or other preserves, you could try canning some magical jam and jelly mixtures to use on the daily.
✨Just have time for some cereal or toast? Sprinkle a little cinnamon sugar on top to sweeten your words during the day and get people to listen to you. Use salt and pepper the same way for protection through the day.
SOME RANDOM PERSON: Why do you have so many birthday candles?!
ME, a color witch who likes doing a quick spell or two every night: Oh, you know, just… like to be prepared for people’s birthdays…
My birthday candle collection burgeoned suddenly this week when I ordered what I thought was 24 pastel candles from Amazon and it turned out to be three packs of 24. I was already on the cusp of needing some kind of organizer for them, so I got one today. It makes me happy to see them all organized. So many spells!
Sensory bottles are not only a way to help with anxiety and stress but they can be a pretty cool tool in ones magical practice. Think about a spell that you can recharge daily at the shake of a pretty bottle. Here’s how I made mine.
Things you’ll need:
I started by filling the bottle about half way with warm water and adding food coloring. I used pink and blue. Then I added pink, silver and holographic glitter as well as some black eyeshadow pigment that had holographic glitter in it as well (I love holo). I then added shaving cream. This can be tricky so take your time. After everything is mixed well I filled the rest of the bottle with warm water. Let it sit overnight, you should see a layer of white foam collect at the top of your bottle. If you overfill the bottle with some water it’ll push that foam out. Leave a little bit of room for air. Fin. You have yourself a sensory bottle.
Ideas for other bottles:
I’ve seen other sensory bottles that use baby oil that look really cool. I’ve also seen people use glitter glue and clear corn syrup too. Look around online for more ideas on different types of sensory bottles. There are literally sooo many types out there. As for magic, you can do a lot with these. Let it charge under the moon or sun, you can play around with color magic. Stick some tiny water-safe crystals in that bottle, my friend. Paint the bottom of your bottle with chalk board paint and draw sigils to charge your bottle. Shake up your bottle anytime you want to activate/recharge your spell. The possibilities are endless.
As always if you have any questions let me know. 💜
Color Magic is all about representation in your craft. It’s easy to add a little more power to your spellwork by using colors that represent the theme of what you are trying to accomplish. This is one of the most useful kinds of magic for beginning witches because color is found everywhere, unlike obscure herbs or stones, and can be found easily in most homes without having to buy anything new or expensive. You can write you words out in a colored pen, or on colored paper, use ribbons of specific colors in chord magic, or use colored candles. Color magic is great for beginners, and easy to add into spells, even for experienced practicians. All you need to know is which colors to use for which purpose.
