Happy Star Wars Day! Here’s a sketch of a Jedi!Finn costume based on this outfit of John’s, which literally made me gasp aloud because all that drapey swishy fabric just screams Jedi!
I’m in a film costume history class right now, so I got really excited thinking about all the materials and whatnot. The leather sleeve is of course from the mangled Dameron jacket, and maybe the belts are salvaged from that material too. The drapey grey over-piece would be more of a soft, woven, matte fabric. The inside would be kind of satiny and dark, but would seem understated and subtle until it catches light in a really pretty blue violet. Also, I gave him some form of shoes that aren’t boots since I imagine the poor guy is tired of wearing them by this point, lmao.
why can’t girls just be nice to one another? like fr???? I see so many girls bringing other girls down. honey you are NOT a “cake face,” a “hoe,” a “bitch,” or a “skank” for wearing the clothes you like or the makeup that makes you feel beautiful! post selfies! tell other girls you like their lipstick! start loving yourself and others! and I’m not just talking about white cis girls. ALL WOMEN NEED TO START RESPECTING EACHOTHER. I can not tell you how many times I’ve been called a bitch or a slut just for wearing clothes I think are cute! honestly I am tired of all the women on women hatred. every time I see a girl I try to compliment her! a simple, “I love your hair!” or, “cute shirt!” goes a LONG way! let’s stop hating eachother and ourselves please. ladies you are ALL beautiful! WOC, trans women, everyone!
besides me being a fashion bombshell, even in the midst of wwii, the jacket was nice and warm and full of pockets. which is always a nice thing when you have to literally carry everything you need with you everywhere you go.
but on top of that, i grew up with tiny pre-human-lab-rat steve. among a very long list of medical issues which fueled his must-punch-everything attitude, steve was colorblind. (in a very typically steve move, he decided to become an artist, despite not being able to see half the colors out there.)
the modern term for what he was is ‘protanopia’ which is a type of red-green colorblindness which meant his ability to see the color red was not so great. pretty much everything in the red spectrum got toned down to taupes and greys, and yellows and greens were kinda muted. but his ability to see the color blue was basically unimpaired, so blue things stood out in his field of vision. back in the day, i wore a lot of blue because it was easier for steve to spot, and somewhere along the line it just kinda became my favorite color, and i tended to pick blue clothes out of habit.
these days steve’s favorite color is red, just for the novelty of being able to see it.
Late night destressing, plus a little bit of vent art.
Jumin is such a complex character. His personality is so much deeper than what it first seems, and he’s such an interesting person to doodle whenever I feel lost, confused, or basically unsure of myself. I can really relate to how he bottles everything up (and that’s bad yo, I know I’m a hypocrite for saying this, but please don’t bottle up your emotions, whether positive or not, bc jumin’s route wasn’t lying, it really does start killing you from inside). But I’m glad that Cheritz allowed for MC to show empathy and be compassionate, because I do think he deserves to have a happy ending.
All of you do, okay?^^ You all deserve a happy ending, and if any one of you feels lost, or need someone to talk to, I’m here! I’m not just saying this for the heck of it, I’m willing to do whatever I can to make you believe in yourself again.
