Model  Aamito Stacie Lagum

Born in December 3rd 1992 in Kampala, Uganda 

  • She was born to a single mother in Kampala 
  • From the time she was younger she aspired to be a lawyer 
  • Her first job was in Ugandan Fashion Week, where she walked for Gloria Wavamunno’s GW Collection 
  • In 2013 she auditioned for Africa’s Next Top Model where she had the chance to make a spread for Elle South Africa as well as being crowned the winner. 
  •  She received a 1-year modeling contract with DNA Model Management, product endorsement deals with P&G, Etisalat, Snapp and Verve International, a 1-year contract as an ambassador for South African Tourism and a cash prize of $50,000 USD
  • She is managed by Boss Models Johannesburg; DNA Model Management; Viva Model Management; Why Not Model Management
  • In 2014, she moved to New York City 
  • In the F/W season of 2015 she was the first model of color to open for Alexander Wang 
  • Shehas modeled for Kanye West, Narciso Rodriguez and many more 
  • She is in the April 2017 cover of Allure Magazine 
  • She has been ranked by Cosmopolitan as one of the top most successful models that has come out of the Top Model franchise 
  • She is the model behind the MAC instagram post that caused a racist outrage “because her lips were too big”. She faced a lot of racist comments and criticism but she spoke out defending herself and her features.
