It is only Tuesday? * banging head on desk * It’s 16 days until I fly home for some Christmas R&R (Yeah, I’m not counting at ALL) and I have so much to do in between now and then. I need a clone, or 5. This image reminds me that I have to finish painting the walls in my deconstructed living room. It’s virtually the same grey which is exciting and moody and well, dark.

Today we’re going old school. I’ve been spending a lot of time on eBay sourcing bits and pieces for my place and I’m always drawn to the scruffy lived in pieces, like a old battered leather armchair and rustic drift wood silver coloured table. It’s all about the soul.

We are planning to start campaigns to help support anyone (You, a friend, a family member) in need of funding for Mission Trips and other worthwhile causes. Is this something that you would like to see happen?

Hey Everyone,

We are in the process of trying to decide if it would be worthwhile to start up campaigns to help you fund for your Mission Trips and other worthwhile causes.

In brief, how we hope to make this work is by setting up a request form which will allow you to communicate with us in detail the reasons you need the money. This could be funding for a mission trip, a medical bill and any other cause. We will select requests on a first come, first served basis (after assessing the validity of your request) set up a campaign just for you and your cause which will run for 2-4 weeks (duration yet to be decided). Our creatives team will design a custom T-Shirt (high quality screen print) for your cause and for every T-Shirt sold, you will get $5.35 (and possibly up to $7.00 per t-shirt) that you will get to keep to help fund your cause. For example, if we manage to sell 200 T-Shirts, you get to keep $1070.00.

Whilst we will do our very best to promote your campaign, it will also be your objective to spread the word to your friends and family. The more T-shirts sold means the more returns you get in terms of funding.

The best part is that we will spend the necessary capital on the t-shirts. screen printing, inks, etc and even work on the artwork for the t-shirts so that you won’t have to spend a penny or do much at all except for spreading the word and ensuring that people buy the t-shirt to support your cause.

+ How much would the T-Shirt cost?

We are still currently exploring our options but as of right now, the lowest we would be able to go is somewhere between $19-$21. But this is yet to be confirmed.

+ If $5.35 (per tee) goes towards the cause, what do you guys do with the rest of the money?

As you can imagine, getting the blank tees, ink for screen printing, coming up with the screens, and postage and packaging isn’t really free. The tees cost us to make from production to delivery. So to answer the question, all the money that we get (apart from the $5.35) is solely used to pay the direct costs that actually play a part in creating the finished product. We don’t take any money for ourselves or use that money for our benefit. The rest of the funds ($5.35 per tee) totally goes towards your cause. This is about us serving and helping you.

+ Why are you doing this?

Easy! Because we care and we love you.

+ Is it okay to totally rely on this campaign to fund my cause?

We will leave you to make that decision. But speaking practically, it would not be wise for you to totally rely on this as your main source of funding for your cause as the amount of cash you receive depends on how many t-shirts get sold. What we do recommend is using this medium as a secondary funding method for your cause. It really just depends on how many t-shirts get sold and that can happen if word gets spread around about your cause.

+ Are there any prerequisites for applying for a campaign?

Possibly. We are still in the process of working it out.

This is definitely something that we would like to start really soon. However we need your feedback and thoughts as well. We would love to serve and give as much as possible and this is one of many ways we would love to see that happen. If you believe that this is a good idea and would like to see this actually happen, please let us know by replying directly to this post or you can send us an Ask via tumblr or alternatively email us at ask@walkthesame.com. If you have any questions or feedback, we would also love to hear from you.

Don’t forget to share this post with your friends and followers. The more feedback we receive, the more likely we are able to make this happen.

Blessings and Much Love,

The Collected Team
