Charles Robinson recalls his brief wrestling career
[April 10th, 2016]
52-year old WWE referee Charles Robinson is often referred to by fans as “Lil’ Naitch”. The nickname came about because of a moment in time where Robinson resembled Ric Flair and began officiating in favor of the 16x World Champion. This led to a few matches featuring the two pairing off, including one where the duo took on the team of Madusa and Randy “Macho Man” Savage. Robinson recalls the match:
In Cedar Rapids, Iowa, I believe it was, Flair and I teamed up, took on Savage and Madusa. We had a tag match and it finished with the elbow drop onto me, Savage elbow drop, which I didn’t know how to position myself, whether to hold my chest or breathe. I just laid there and took it. And he landed in on me and put me in the hospital for two weeks. Yeah, collapsed lung.
