Hey urm if it isn't to late to send a prompt urm sendrick finding out Bechloe in pp3
Their relationship had been a secret for going on five months (5 months, 2 weeks and 4 days, not that Anna had been counting). No one knew, and surprisingly they were pretty good at hiding it. Random sleepovers here and there, dinner dates in public but sneaking little touches under the table where no one could see. They would occasionally go on little weekend trips just to get away and not have to worry about anything.

Writer: BrittanyWord Count: 1,388Pairing: Sam x ReaderRequest: Anonymous said: Imagine with sam, based on the song ‘cold coffee’ by ed sheeran?(ur blog is amazing*-*)—————————–
You tried to be as quiet as possible as you crept around Sam’s room gathering various articles of your clothing off the floor. You found your shirt halfway across the room on his bookshelf; things had gotten a little wild last night. Once dressed, you made your way to the door and found that your feet would take you no further. You sighed, looking back at Sam’s asleep on the bed, hair fallen over his eyes. You knew you should just leave but you seemed to have no control over your feet as they took you back to the bedside. You leaned down and kissed Sam soft as you could, just to the side of his lips, trying not to wake him. But he was a hunter which meant a light sleeper and he stretched out his arm to where you’d been a few minutes ago, finding only a cold side of the bed. Confused, he opened his eyes to look at you.
“What are you doing?” he mumbled half into his pillow.
“I’m heading out, Sam. Thanks for last night.” You gave a small smile and headed to the door again, telling yourself not to look back at him.
“Why are you leaving so early? I don’t have anywhere to be, let’s just stay here forever,” he said, flopping onto his back and pushing the hair out of his face. You let out a laugh despite yourself.
“Are you still drunk from last night?”
He eyed the flat whiskey with coke on the nightstand and grinned. “Ok, well we can stay in bed for now at least.”
“Sam, I gotta go,” you repeated. “I have a job a few towns over. I’ll call you next time I’m nearby, ok?” And without waiting for a response or looking at his sad eyes any longer, you head out, shutting his bedroom door behind you and leaving the bunker before your feet betray you again.
This was your pattern. Ever since you’d met the Winchesters a year back working the same case and deciding it was smarter to team up than squabble over who should leave town. The three of you had celebrated with drinks afterwards. Dean left the bar with a girl, heading back to her place. Then you and Sam had continued to celebrate, all the way up until last call, stumbling back to the hotel where everything devolved into a haze of sloppy kisses and plaid on the floor. Sam was beyond mortified the next day, insisting that he’d taken advantage but you both knew that what had happened was something you’d both wanted, messy as it was. You had chemistry. Regardless, you were both moving on to new cases so you parted ways with an awkwardly formal handshake.
The next time it happened was two months later in Scottsdale and the only influence either of you were under was a full July moon, parked in the Impala in an empty parking lot. You took off afterward by yourself to your own hotel, meeting up with the boys the next morning for breakfast where Sam had already ordered you a cup of tea and had two sugar cubes next to it. You were quietly impressed, not able to remember a time he’d seen you fix your tea just like that. Sam tried to talk about the night before when Dean slipped outside to make a call but you told him it was just something you both needed after the draining nature of the hunt, nothing more than a warm body next to you. He’d looked down quickly at his coffee but nodded in quiet agreement.
And that’s how it went, as the months went by and the two of you found yourselves near the other’s town or case (and you couldn’t deny that you found reasons to find yourself in the same zip code often) you would find a time to meet up. Sometimes it was preceded by drinks and swapping stories, other times it felt desperate, grasping at one another in a corner hotel room or backseat. You used to sneak out before Sam woke up but the past few times you’d made the same mistake you’d made this morning, gifting him a small kiss which drove his wondering eyes open, silently imploring you to stay. He’d told you he loved the way you woke him up that way.
Fate ended up throwing you into one another’s paths only two weeks later with a wraith case. Easy enough. Dean was on his game and did most of the dirty work for you and you invited them to the local bar, enticing them with an offer to buy the first round.
The three of you sat at a table in a dimly lit corner recounting the hunt and toasting to one less evil thing to deal with. The bell above the door rang as a trio of girls wandered in, all loose curls and denim skirts and by the time you’d looked back over at Dean he was pushing his seat out, eyes on the girls and trademark grin on his face. You looked at Sam and laughed, though he looked away as quickly as he could.
“You ok?” you asked trying to catch his gaze.
“Yeah, I’m good,” he cleared his throat. “So how long are you staying in town?”
“I’m not sure. I have family around here so I may stay a few extra days,” you said. “You?”
“Probably the same. We haven’t caught wind of any other cases and Dean seems to like the local cuisine,” Sam stated wryly, glancing at Dean making himself very at home with his three new friends.
“To being able to plant our feet for a few days,” you said, raising your glass to his, finally meeting his eyes, and he didn’t lose the eye contact as he took a sip.
Sam and you took it easy on the drinks, using your time instead to laugh at Dean’s foolproof moves you’d seen so many times before and to people watch. Sam was easy company, you fell into step with one another quickly, as if you’d done a thousand hunts together. His familiarity was at once a comfort and something that set you back on your heels.
“I think I might call it a night here soon,” you said around one in the morning. The bar patrons had dwindled down to a smaller crowd.
“Do you want to come back to our room? Looks like Dean has his own plans tonight.”
“I don’t know, Sam,” you hesitated. “This, whatever it is, it’s getting too close.”
“We don’t have to do anything. Just hang out, get a good night’s sleep.”
“A good night’s sleep? What’s that?” you joke. After a moment of consideration you take him up on the offer and the two of you share a cab to the motel. It’s similar to all the others, crappy tv, crappy double beds, Casa Erotica ad on the table. You smile at Sam as he shuts the door behind him. This is different. Normally this is the part where some kind of unbuttoning would happen but instead he offers you first dibs in the bathroom and one of his clean shirts from his duffel.
You get ready for bed quickly, trying to stamp your nerves down. This isn’t sex, why are you nervous? After Sam has taken his turn getting ready you both get under the covers and he places a tentative arm around your waist as you face one another.
“What am I doing wrong?” he asks suddenly.
“What do you mean?”
“You always leave. Every time. Just tell me what to do right. Tell me how to fall in love the way you want me to, y/n,” and there is a sweetness to his plea.
“Sam,” you say quietly in the dark. “Those are big words for a hunter, they’re tough for me to grab at, much as I want to. And you’re doing everything right. Trust me. I just…it’s me. This is new. I don’t know how to deal with this and all that comes with it. Just go slow with me, ok?” You feel his lips find yours and they move together slowly as his hands trace their way up your back.
“I can do slow,” he says as you tangle your feet with his. “Let’s do breakfast in the morning, just us.”
“That sounds like a good start,” you smile, twining your fingers in his hair and eventually the two of you fall asleep, impossibly knotted with one another.
Brittany sat on the coffee shop’s patio, a cappuccino in her hand. The New York streets were busy, filled with people rushing to one place or the next. She’d only been waiting for Santana for five minutes, but was already uneasy. Where was the girl? She hadn’t had any way to contact her for five days. What if something had happened and she couldn’t make it? What if something had happened and Santana was hurt? Brittany shook her head, focusing on watching the passerby. Their first meeting hadn’t exactly been ideal, but Brittany did really like the Latina. She wanted to help her, her and her mom and sister. Brittany was just getting paid enough to support herself, though. She couldn’t magically hand out cash to them whenever, no matter how badly she wanted to.

1) What do you think are your particular strengths as a Brittana writer? What do you wish you did better? (Submitted by Lindsey via email)
I think that I do a good job really representing the physicality of Brittany and Santana’s relationship in my stories. Not just the love/sex scenes, though I like to think I do those justice as well. I feel like a lot of what drew us to them was watching all the little background moments between them and a lot of their background moments, in addition to the looks, was the way that they always seemed to be touching. That sense of connection, the promise in a sensual touch, the comfort in a soothing touch, even the subtle cues to a person’s state of mind in the way they touch you or allow you to touch them…I feel like I’m able to add depth to Brittana’s relationship by specifically writing in the way they touch each other as they interact.
I also like to think that I manage to work in humor and playfulness into my stories. It’s a part of the Brittana relationship that I don’t think we got to see nearly as much as of but I think makes up a huge part of who they are.
I wish I did a lot of things better when it comes to writing - not only writing Brittana but writing in general. I feel like I have a pretty expansive vocabulary but for some reason when I write fan fiction, I feel like I recycle the same 100 words. I’d also like to get better with the ebb and flow of my dialogue through the use of proper punctuation as I still struggle with the rules of writing sometimes. For Brittana, I wish I could write them better as it pertains to their emotions and thought processes as individuals. I think I take for granted that readers will already have a fleshed out idea of who Brittany and Santana are as characters. I’d like to make it so that my stories, if clicked on by someone with only a cursory knowledge of the fandom, would still be enjoyable to them.
