Tortoise-shelled Ladybird (Harmonia testudinaria)

Also known as the Netty ladybird, the tortoise-shelled ladybird is a species of ladybird beetle native to Indonesia, New Guinea and Northern Australia. Like other ladybird beetles the tortoise-shelled ladybird’s diet consists almost exclusively of aphids. Young are often laid on food plants and will feed there until they pupate.
