In 2009 Cillian attended the Flat Lake Literary & Arts Festival in Co. Monaghan and got a knitting lesson at the Knitty Woolly Fun Time booth. His signed polaroid and knitted creation were for a charity fundraiser. 

The gorgeous sexy actor Cillian Murphy gives woolly fun a go. What a chore it is to teach a man like this!

Rumours that he was trying to knit a mask are completely unfounded. :P
