LETS TALK ABOUT CONNIE

i saw this theory floating around about maybe connie being part gem bc A) how the hell can she hold that big ass sword meant for ROSE big buff mama warrior quartz??? and B) how can she fuse?? she’s human! we already know from greg that love is not enough to make fusion between a human and gem happen so i was wondering about it

and?? i think i may have figured it out??? HOHO WHO KNOWS BUT???

ok so here’s what i think

do u guys remember this:

steven accidentally healed connie’s eyes w his SPIT

gross

bUT

SHE LITERALLY INGESTED A PART OF STEVEN

SHE ABSORBED A LITERAL PART OF A GEM

AFTER THIS????

CONNIE CAN SEE

THEY CAN FUSE

CONNIE GETS BOSS ON THE SWORD

abilities CAN be passed around just like garnet giving steven future vision for a bit, but that was just from a kiss. Connie literally drank steven’s spit. GROSS BUT EFFECTIVE BC I THINK THIS ALSO GAVE CONNIE STEVEN’S STRENGTH TO LIFT THAT SWORD, I THINK THIS GAVE HER THE ABILITY TO FUSE

I dont think connie is part gem as in like …her ancestor or anything…but i do think that she is a human that straight up ABSORBED A GEM’S POWER INTO HER BODY

HAVE YOU GUYS SEEN THE OPERATIC BOB’S BURGERS COMMERCIAL BC IT IS ACTUALLY STUNNING

B is for your burgers that you gave me

O is for your onions, sweet and savory

B is for your buns theyre so impressive

the apostrophe “s” makes the whole darn thing POSSESSIVE

PUT IT ALL TOGETHER THEY SPELL BOB’S BURGERS!!🍔🌟

a small piece of advice,

please find some one who shares your passion(s).

don’t wait around for your family or friends to be as excited as you are about this thing you are working your entire life for. don’t expect them to understand that bc it is so important to you, it should also be important to them.

there are some wonderful people out there, maybe even family!, that will be excited just bc you are excited. but if you truly want some one who understands and can celebrate this passion w you equally w no trace of fakeness,

find someone who shares your passion.

it’s honestly just depressing trying to show someone something you’re proud of to have them respond w little to nothing,

or worse, insults and mockery over you finding this so important

if I didn’t have my wonderful friends and bf who always get excited w me and always push me to bet best I would be a much less happier person than I am now

idk it’s late and I’m off to sleep but it’s just smth I felt like putting out there for you guys

so this past weekend i went to the theater to watch the lego batman movie and it was PACKED bc it was also the opening of beauty and the beast so there were really long lines for popcorn and snacks.

in front of me in line was this really attractive young black couple that politely smiled and tilted their head when i got in line behind them.

after a bit the guy turns around to me, points at his lady w a big smile and says “dont she look good?” she got embarrassed and hit him in the arm, honestly it was adorable.

i nodded and answered “she’s beautiful!!” (she was tbh uwu)

and she got even MORE embarrassed. she covered her face w her hand and said thank you to me (w a big smile underneath that hand that i could totally see haha) before turning to buy their popcorn

it was just such an adorable moment i felt like the internet needed to hear about it haha ;u;

toying w the idea this morning of making a magical girl series w three girls who are all different hispanic ethnicities and their magical girl names are niña, chica, and nena bc these are all ways of saying “girl” and when they transform and pose they yell “GIRL, GIRL, GIRL!!” and some spanglish catchphrase after that

i’d love for all the attacks would be in spanglish too hmm ✨✨

((will reblog this when i think of more things haha))

i think it says a lot about lapis’ character at the end of the ep when sHE COULDVE USED THE OCEAN TO STOP NAVY BUT INSTEAD WAS TOO BUSY LAUGHING BC WOW RUBY IS NOT “WELL ADJUSTED” SO SHE FEELS LESS BAD ABOUT HER ENDLESS BITTERNESS

STEVEN AND PERI GO LOOKING FOR HER RIGHT AWAY WHEN SHE LEAVES ALL UPSET BC NAVY LOVES DIRT

NAVY NEARLY KILLS STEVEN BUT LAPIS CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT BC HAHA SHE’S NOT THE ONLY MESSED UP GEM WOW //LAUGHS????

youtube

HAVE YOU GUYS SEEN THIS ADORABLE ANIMATION THE BOB’S BURGERS PEEPS MADE FOR NEW YEARS BC I LOVE IT SO MUCH AND HAD NO IDEA IT EXISTED

THE ANIMATION IS PERFECTION AND ADORABLE!!!
each character has their own style and personality applied to them SO IMPECCABLY i honestly cant get enough of this video

also the song AND video take me back to those bart simpson music videos that got super popular in the early 90′s w great dancing animation and bright colors

not in a copycat way AT ALL but in a lovely, nostalgic and totally unique way that i adore ;u;

PLS GIVE THIS A WATCH!! 🍔✨🍔✨

senpai-materia1  asked:

How did you price your commissions, and do you have any reccomendations on how others could?

i price them based on how many hours it takes me to finish a piece!

i charge $10 per hour ^u^

as far as advice i think you need to decide on a few things for sure:

1. how much of a profit you would like to make w your art?

- if you are drawing more as a hobby and would like to make some extra cash, but have no real big preference as far as profit goes then you could probably afford to make your prices quite cheap! its no secret that a lower price will sell faster, and if you have no qualm spending however many hours on smth you will only make $5 for then i say go for that! bc you’ll probably sell a bunch!

- however, if you would like to make art your actual job you need to think of it less like “extra cash” and more like “income”. even if you are not making the money you would like to be making doing art right now, you should still treat it like a job! fake it til you make it! if art were youre actual job what time would you wake up in the morning? how long would you draw for if this was an actual job?

you might say “but i have school all day!” or “but i have an actual job!” well to that i say…lots of people have two jobs! lots of people go to school and then to work! these people are tired! you will get tired! hard work is always tiring haha

if you would like to make an actual profit then this is what must be done. drawing everyday and treating it like a job will not only guarantee consistency (which is very important for people who follow artists) but also it will insure that you will improve! you cant draw all the time and stay stagnant, bc the more you draw the more you learn about drawing!

2. how much is your time worth to you?

- like i said above, i charge an hourly rate of $10 for my work. as far as professional artists go, especially traditional artists, this is quite cheap. its actually minimum wage haha

i charge this much mostly bc i know there is still a lot for me to learn, i am not an expert in many things that other artists my age (or younger!) have mastered already, and this is an unfortunate reality i have to live with right now u_u

it is good to be aware of where you stand in your artistic skill level, this will make your pricing more fair. not to be down on yourself, but to be aware there is still much to learn! imo this is a fair hourly rate for where i am in my skill level right now.

however other artists may charge a base price + hourly, like … $10 from the start and then $10 for every hour they work.

some artists charge based on a daily salary regardless of hours like, “i worked today so you owe me $200 for the days work”

you need to decide what works best for you! i recommend finding out what is the minimum wage wherever you live and then building off of that!

3. how big is your audience?

- as much as we may hate to acknowledge it, we wont sell very much if our following is small. i read something a long time ago (i wish i could remember where i read it but its been so long i cant even remember if it was on paper or online haha ;; ) but its held true for many years so i think it can help you realize where you stand as far as audience and possible commissioners

consider your following by 10%

meaning, if you have 100 followers, that means you are likely to have at least 10 people who would want to commission you.

if you have 1000 followers, your pool grows to a possibility 100 people, and so on

this also counts for comments, likes and reblogs!

this is not a guaranteed number ofc, more of a very likely theory haha

GOODNESS I REALLY DIDNT MEAN TO TYPE THIS MUCH AAA

i always let myself go off on tangents haha

but i hope this helps!! ^o^)/

if you have any more questions about stuff feel free to ask! <3
