Bold = Top Ten

Some notes: It feels like watching all the Bergman films and him being my fave has skewed my picking a top ten this month, albeit slightly. In another month the two Kubricks would be in the top ten, maybe the Frankenheimer and Bava films too. Similarly the limit of ten and the fact that there was no way I wouldn’t include Seven Samurai and Charulata left me choosing Bergman films that seemed the *obvious* ones but I guess that’s unavoidable. Also (this is trivia) I watched the TV versions of Scenes From A Marriage and Fanny and Alexander in episodes spread over a few days though they’re listed as single entities here, and spot the odd one out, the one non-Bergman related film I watched during the Bergman Fest…
