I recently started following lexxercise and her upcoming webcomic (holy crap you guys, her art is gorgeous). I was reading through her Tumblr and for some reason, when I saw this little piece of art, the first thing I thought was that it was perfect for an embroidery project. Maybe it’s because I have that Hobbit embroidery piece on my mind.

Anyway, I decided to try sewing it, and this is what I ended up with. It’s a little cramped (it’s only a couple inches across), and I think I’d like to try again at a larger size and maybe with a different kind of stitch, but it was a fun diversion. It’s just not as cute as the original. ;)

I had an awesome time at TCAF (Toronto Comic Arts Festival) today! I always love going to this because I get to meet a bunch of webcomic people I like and stare at pretty new things.

This year abby-howard and lexxercise were there (their webcomics are so great you guys, SO GREAT), so I brought them fanart. Fancrafts? Fan stuff. That I made. From their stuff.

Mona (the black one, from The Last Halloween) is new and I’m very happy with the way it turned out. The blue one I’ve posted here before - it’s from The Cloud Factory - but I don’t have a picture of it actually framed because I forgot to take one. Derp. Both Abby and Lexxy seemed to really like them so I’m happy! I like making things for people whose work I love. :)

Finally, that other picture is a sketch by Abby. She does amazing horror creatures so I asked for me as a monster. So if we haven’t met in person and you don’t know what I look like, just go ahead and imagine that’s how I look. ;)
