The end had finally come and despite the amount of time you spent preparing for it, it still felt like a punch in your stomach. The knot in your throat was painful and your lungs still struggled for air to breathe. Tears clouded your eyes and turned your vision blurry until his face was unrecognizable.
darling, you are the one
born with galaxies and supernovas like fireworks in your eyes.
your fingers hold strength that mine will never know.
your bones carry prophecies that mine does not dare dream of.
i was only born
with flower petals staining my cheeks pink
and strange songs murmuring faintly in my heart.
i was only born
with snatches of fool’s good trapped in my hair
and gossamer tangled somewhere between my lungs and my ribs.
and darling, i do not mind
if your light is brighter
your voice is louder
your steps are stronger
i have always known, after all,
that your fate soars much higher than mine ever will
and it does not do to envy a demigod
or an angel
or a hero
or a friend.
but darling, this i swear:
when they come for you
(and they will, my darling,
let’s not lie to ourselves
to each other)
i will grind my teeth into bloodlust fangs.
i will file my nails into tigers’ claws.
darling, this i swear:
i will make poisons of the flowers in my cheeks
and spiderwebs of the gossamer torn from my chest.
i will teach my heart to beat to the rhythm of a battle drum.
and this, this i swear:
i will make them all face
the thin-edged broken glass

Can you imagine Lance being unable to return home until decades worth of fighting? Can you imagine him walking up to his old home,. Can you imagine him coming home only to confront his siblings, asking where mom is, only to be told that she has long passed away, probably from the stress and sadness of his disappearance. Can you imagine him being led only to a grave, and him collapsing, screaming and crying and begging forgiveness for leaving, how sorry he was, and how he wants to hug her again.
These top 10 you do are really great, you have such good ideas. Would you be willing to do one like "Top 10 Katsuki/Nikiforov Moments That Had Everyone Swooning" (from interviews, caught by paparazzi, public, whatever you decide) - something like the sweetest, sappiest shit the media managed to catch of them and had everyone wonder how did these two go from rivals to relationship goals. Thank you so much <3 <3 <3
Hi!! Just wanted to say I love your story too much,
especially the social media bits that make it even more enjoyable and funny!!!
Also, if you feel comfortable with it and haven’t done it already, I was
wondering if you could do Top 10 Viktuuri Posts that made the Fangirls Die from
Nosebleeds!! Sorry if you already answered it or don’t have time, I still love
you and your beautiful fanfiction no matter what!!!
Top ten Viktuuri PDA moments?
Right, I’m going to group these all together because they
are similar enough that I can’t come up with separate lists for them all.
Top Ten Romantic Moments:
10) Once, when they had been apart for a couple of months
for euros/4c, they reunited in an airport and it was like romance movie level
drama. Yuuri literally ran and threw himself at Viktor and Viktor caught him
and spun him around while they were both smiling and laughing and then dipped
him into a kiss and everyone around them was like ‘that’s super adorable but
also can you two not be Extra for like 2 minutes around each other’
9) At one point the paparazzi caught them on a date in
Detroit when Yuuri was still living there and Viktor had come to see him and
they both brought each other flowers at the restaurant and tried to give them
to each other at the same time and then laughed about how they had both picked
the exact same way to try and surprise each other
8) Once after a competition in a cold country Viktor said
something to Yuuri that made him glare at Viktor for a second and then stuff
freezing cold snow down the back of Viktor’s jacket in revenge. Viktor
retaliated by chucking a snowball at Yuuri and it devolved into a completely
childish snow war that ended with them slipping and falling together and then
laughing and kissing in the snow.
7) During an interview which was the first that either of
them had really spoken about what happened to lead up to The Big Kiss, Yuuri
was really nervous. So all throughout the filmed interview Viktor kept subtly
reassuring him with little touches and being close except nothing is subtle
about the two of them and it eventually ended up with Yuuri practically sitting
in Viktor’s lap for the majority of the interview and looking more relaxed than
anyone had seen him during an interview before
6) At Hasetsu, a paparazzi snuck in to watch them on the beach
together and got a bunch of photos of a super competitive beach volleyball game
that ended with Yuuri tackling Viktor into the sea until he begged for mercy
while laughing and then them kissing in the waves in a very ‘poster for a
romance film’ kind of way in photo that very quickly went viral.
5) Once Yuuri slipped and fell on the ice in a street in St
Petersburg and hurt his ankle and instead of calling for a taxi like a normal
person, Viktor carried him bridal style all the way back to their apartment
4) After being apart for a while, Yuuri and Viktor planned
to meet up at one of Viktor’s competitions that Yuuri wasn’t skating in but his
flight was delayed and his missed the start. He showed up in the middle of
Viktor’s skating and as soon as Viktor got off the ice he ran and literally
jumped into Viktor’s arms to kiss him with his legs wrapped around Viktor’s
waist which got a lot of approving cheers and wolf whistling from the crowd
3) At the competition after the events of chapter 14, their
exhibition skates had changed to Viktor’s being the duet of Stay Close to Me
and Yuuri’s being Dark Eyes in honour of Viktor. Yuuri skating to something
Russian made everyone’s heart melt and the Stay Close to Me duet became
considered one of the most romantic moments ever. Both exhibitions were
generally considered their best non-competitive skates ever. The only other one
that came close to that title was the time when a group of people started
saying that Yuuri had only slept with Viktor to win gold and in retaliation in
an ice show, Yuuri skated to ‘Fucked My Way Up To The Top’ out of pure spite
and everyone loved it.
2) The Kiss from chapter 14
1) The engagement announcement but I won’t say when, how or
who proposed ;)
Warning:This article may contain spoilers and the content inappropriate for children…or may not contain. But get the children away from the screen just in case.
Good morning! Or is it already evening? Meh, as if it matters…cellar, where I’m chained and writing my articles is pitch-dark 24 hours per day. So, today we’ll learn how to make friends, control the undead and have a happy dream ( with some experimental drugs involved). Now then, shall we get started?
here goes our first title, made by
the author of Alice Mare and LiEat series. 1bitHeart
is an adventure
game, where your goal is to make as many friends as possible . Game plays similar to Ace Attorney series, but with some
QTE-scenes, while setting and atmosphere is kinda similar to TWEWY.You can make
49 friends in total, all of them have unique appearance and
personality. Plot of the game is pretty good, dialogues are well-written and sometimes
hilarious. Besides, every dialogue has it’s own mood supported by stylish
well-chosen music track and quality voice acting. Additionaly I want to
praise 1bitHeart’s presentation, since both artwork and sprites are extremely beautiful .
2. The Boogie Man
And here comes the Boogeyman, the Boogeyman comes for me. Here comes the Boogyeman, he’s gonna take me in my sleep…Nah, actually not. Here comes the latest installement in our favourite the Strange Men Series. This time with the fully voiced in-game cutscenes (and skippable as bonus). The Boogie Man stays true to series and plays like classical horror-adventure with action cut-ins. At some point of the game you can even play as our old friends -David and Sophie, but new protagonist Keith is quite notable too (he’s my personal fav to be honest).Overall the game makes very good impression, the story is interesting and dialogues are bright and entertaining (with many references to previous games).
3. END ROLL
not the sensitive type, but even I was
kinda hesitant to play this game at first, since it has waaay too many
suggestive content, supported by quite a lot of graphic violence. But after
beating it I can state that this game is totally drugtastic. END ROLL plays
like quality role-playing game and somewhat reminds the wild mix of the Gray
Garden and Re:Kinder, but with better story-writing and gameplay I believe.
Game has plenty of unique dungeons (all of them has some plot-related meaning behind it) as well as tons of
optional content, which along with well-designed and interesting
characters make END ROLL very enjoyable.
4. Guuzen ~ Ningyou no ito
What? Don’t tell me you’ve never heard about the rite named “doll’s prayer” .You’ll forget all of your worries and path to the Heaven will open before you. But the place, our heroines’ve found themselves in, can be hardly called Heaven. I wasn’t expecting much from this game, but it turned to be quality horror with beautiful character designs, memorable soundtrack, logical puzzles and surprisingly mature story. The game reminds us that we’re often starting to value something only when it’s already lost.Sadly, right now Ningyou no ito is only available in chinese, japanese and russian.
5. Liar Jeannie in Crucifix Kingdom
Yet another full-fledged role-playing game
has made it to my list. And kinda tough, I must say. Imagine what if Dark Souls
was the turn-based RPG with cute nun as protagonist and you’ll get Liar Jeannie… more or less.Unlike
many RPGs, this one doesn’t have any
levels, and your stats and basic skills fully depend on your current equipment (by the way, every item in this game can be equipped). A special mention is deserved for game’s bosses - there’s a few main bosses and a lot of
optional ones -all of them have their own battle tactics and require some thinking
before acting ( especially Pleiades Knights-you want to defeat them, trust
me). Also, if things during the fight will become real ugly, you can always
summon expendable monsters as your allies (or living shields, heh).
6. At the Tale End
Here we have a game, which looks like a regular fantasy-adventure, but only at first. Plot includes our standard party of heroes (fighter, mage, priest and thief), cursed princess and battle with the local dark lord. But each of these elements plays very different from your typical fantasy stories. At the Tale’s End is definetely a unique experience, a role-playing game in it’s original meaning, without countless random battles, but with a certain weight of responsibility for your actions within a narrative. Also this game has detailed and interesting world as well as quality animated cut-scenes.
7. Pocket Mirror
A long-awaited Pocket Mirror has been finally released this year. And I’m amazed with enormous amount of work made by the team of developers. When it comes to game’s graphic, Pocket Mirror is stunning. Beautiful artwork and memorable soundtrack help to create this mysterious, unique atmosphere of dark fairy tale. And with that Pocket Mirror has some gameplay issues. You see, while some puzzles are interesting, most of them is quite uninspiring, some of the locations are pitch-dark and hard to navigate. And with that plot of the game is quite complicated, but doesn’t make much sense,if you don’t pay close attention to numerous in-game notes and letters. This game is definetely not bad,but still leaves some feeling of unpolishness.
8. The Maid of Fairewell Heights
Despite the fact that story of the Maid takes place at the haunted apartment complex, this game has no horror elements. Maid feels more like comedy anime straight from ‘90s. Gameplay (along with main character’s outfits) varies depending on the room your’re currently exploring. Starting with regular cleaning you can end up playing detective or running the shop. Game has bright illustrations, good humour and overall is pretty good.
I’m sure everyone knows that beside translating games vgperson also makes their own, and Libretta is one of them..This game definetely gives an interesting experience. While playing similar to Ib, Libretta has it’s own unique atmosphere and somewhat complicated plot, where everyone can find something for themselves (or so I think). Libretta has memorable soundtrack and interesting puzzles, requiring some thinking from the player Also playing shirigories between chapters is kinda fun.
10. Imaginary Friends
Imaginary Friends is a classical rpg-horror-game with quality visuals, well-thought puzzles and some minor chasing scenes. While story lacks originality, it’s still interesting to follow, since charactrers are nice and game has several endings. Game is about 3 hours long and leaves mostly positive impression. So, if you like old-school rpg-horrors-be my guest.
11. Red Trees
While havingsome minor horror elements, Red Trees stays warm and relaxing adventure game with humorous and ironic view on horror genre and quite unexpected ending in a way. Graphic style of the game and whole atmosphere of a local town is somewhat reminiscent of Mother series.Gameplay is quite simple and consist from few “find-and-bring-to-the- right-person” puzzles, which can be easily solved in 30 minutes or so.
12. The Stairway
Like Red Trees this game is also recommended for players, who’ve already tired from jumpscares, explinct content and overthinking bizarre puzzles. This game has simple yet nice story, unique visuals and some easy logical puzzles. So, if you want to neatly spend 30-40 minutes of your time, try and climb The Stairway to see what’s awiting you at the very end.
The most fitting description for Friendship would be “horror for the beginners”, since it can surprise or startle you only if you haven’t played any other rpg-horrors before. In fact Friendship doesn’t stand out much compared with better quality school horrors ( like Misao or Amayado Bus Stop ).But it doesn’t mean that the game is bad-Friendship is a good way to spend 30 minutes seeing how strong attachment to a friend can turn simple game into yandere-horror.
14. By Ourselves
And here comes our closing title about two former classmates, who’ve found themeselves trapped in the room. Game is only 10 minutes long and basically is one big locked door puzzle. You find the first hint and then successively exploring the room for the way out. Game has two endings determined by how much attention you’re paying to your comrade in distress.
When they realise they are truly in love with you… (this was requested a while ago and I thought it was cuuuuute)!!!
You were attending an awards after party in a rooftop bar with Jin when you told him you were going to get some air whilst he conversed with his friends. You found yourself leaned against against the glass balcony, relishing in the cooling breeze. You closed your eyes and titled your head back slightly as your hair fluttered softly in the breeze, exposing your shoulders in your black fitted off the shoulder dress. The sun had just started to set and the sky behind you was a shade of blood orange. Jin came looking for you when he realised you’d been gone awhile, and that’s exactly how he’d find you. Picture Perfect. And That was when Jin realised how lucky he was because he saw how truly beautiful you were and he couldn’t take his eyes off you.
Yoongi would realise he truly loved you when he was just laying down on the couch watching you. You’d just be milling around your apartment, tidying odds and ends up, whilst still dressed in your pyjamas. He’d begin to think about all the things you did, like making sure there’s always coffee ready in the morning, or sticking his towels on the radiator to heat up while he’s showering… He’d even notice the little things like how you always gave him a bigger plate of food to make sure he was eating properly or how whenever he takes his jacket off and throws it to the floor you’d always hang it straight up. You’d notice him just lying there watching you with a small smile on his face. ‘What?’ You’d ask with a raised eyebrow. ‘Nothing… I just love you that’s all…’
It was snowing heavily outside your apartment and you Namjoon was leaving soon to film with BTS outdoors. He emerged from your bedroom in what you could only describe as, a coat that was not suitable for this weather. ‘You can’t go out like that in this weather you’ll freeze!’ Namjoon sighed at you, ‘It’ll have to do I can’t find my padded coat…’ You wrinkled your nose at him and disappeared only to return not even a minute later with his winter coat in your arms. 'How did you do that?!’ Namjoon questioned, genuinely in awe. 'Women have their ways…’ You responded before going into the kitchen and returning with two large flasks in your hand. 'Coffee for the big boys and Hot Coco for the kiddies!’ You stated handing them to him. A smile creeped across his face at your kindness, you had clearly thought about this. Namjoon thanked you before heading to the door, but he was stopped by an object hitting his back. He turned around to see a bobble hat lying behind him and you standing with a pair of matching gloves in your hand. 'And don’t even think of coming home to me sniffling and shivering…’ You stated folding your arms. Namjoon laughed at your indirect but humorous way of looking after him. 'I won’t now… See you later Y/N I love you!’ He’d call before finally leaving.
Hoseok would come home early from practice to visit you in your apartment. He’d slip in quietly with the keys you gave him to surprise you, but he’d stop dead in his tracks when he saw you standing outside on your apartment balcony. You weren’t wearing anything fancy, just jean shorts and a checked shirt, but he thought you just looked so good illuminated by the setting sun. He noticed you were on the phone and creeped closer only to hear you gushing to your best friend about him. He stood listening with a smug smile as you told your friend all about how kind and sweet and funny and handsome he was. He couldn’t wait anymore so he cleared his throat making you jump. You jumped at his sudden presence and narrowed your eyes as you registered his facial expression. Hoseok then began sending you hearts through the glass door whilst mouthing 'I love you too!’ And that was when you realised he’d heard everything you’d said on the phone.
Jimin would be leaning against your kitchen bench watching you 'try to make dinner’ because you were struggling to open a bottle of wine. He raised his eyebrows as he watched you frustratedly trying to twist the top off, he knew you wouldn’t cave and ask for help because you were far too much of a strong independent woman for that. You pouted your lips as you tried again and again to open it before you harshly placed it on the bench in front of Jimin. 'Help meeee…’ You whined caving in. 'What was that? You want my help? Did I hear a please?’ You rolled your eyes at him, you knew he was trying to wind you up. 'Please Jimin…’ You replied playing up to him and fluttering your lashes. 'You’re so strong!’ Jimin let out a sigh and opened the bottle for you. 'Totally loosened that up for you…’ You mumbled to yourself, turning away and pouring some of the wine into your pot. 'Ah what was that Y/N?’ He questioned with a smirk on his face. 'Oh nothing I was just saying how wonderful and strong you are and how lucky I am!’ You replied with a smug smile. 'Hmm… you’re lucky I love you and your sass…’
Tae would become completely soft for you when he came to your apartment to find his parents and siblings inside waiting. You’d invited them round as a surprise and he’d almost die when he came through the door to see you sat with cross legged in front of his little sister while she played with your hair. 'When you said you were getting your hair done today this was not what I had in mind…’ He’d laugh before greeting his family. He’s sit and watch as his sister continued twirling your hair and sticking little flower hair clips into it. He could tell she was probably tugging a little too hard with your hair, but you didn’t let it show at all. 'Doesn’t Y/N look good?!’ His sister would laugh whilst showing off her completed work. Taehyung would simply smile and sit down beside you on the floor and flash you a smile, 'She looks beautiful, now it’s my turn!’ Before leaning and whispering a quite 'Thank you, I love you’ in your ear.
He’d come over to yours from a long days practise to a warm cosy apartment, to see you lying upside down, with your legs over the back of the couch reading a book in front of the fireplace. He’d let out a chuckle at the sight before him. 'What? it’s comfortable…’ You responded shyly covering your face with your book at the fact he’d caught you behaving weirdly. Jungkook would simply laugh again at your reaction as you sat upright and crossed your legs. 'Really? The whole bag?’ He’d ask, gesturing to the large but empty packet of fizzy gummy worms on the table in front of you. 'Shut up gummy worms are my life!’ You’d state defending yourself. Jungkook let out a hearty laugh and flopped down beside you. 'I was gonna leave some for you, but since you’re such a nice boyfriend I thought you’d take comfort in the fact that I demolished the whole bag and I really enjoyed it…’ Jungkook shifted himself closer to you and pulled you into his chest. 'You’re weird… but I love you Y/N…’
Pls don’t start with the whole “awards shows don’t matter”thing
Because, you know what, damn right they do. Especially for Broadway.
One major tony award can mean a show closes or not because this is not the grammys or the oscars, people don’t follow musicals, musicals aren’t easy to access to, and if someone goes to see a show, they want to make sure it’s good. Now, if you knew absolutely nothing about Broadway and you had to choose a show to go to, of course you would go with the one with the “best musical of the season” sign over its title. That’s why the tonys are full of politics and that’s why the producers are so desperate to convince the voters that their show will make people come to Broadway.
Now, you know what happens to those shows that don’t have the pretty little “best musical winner” sign over its title? They close. Unless they have a major public campaign, the “little shows”, the shows that cost a lot to run or the shows with no well known actors, they all close.
In 2011 Book of mormon swept the tonys, you know what happened to the other best musical nominees? They all closed within the year.
You know how many original productions of Sondheim musicals have recouped? None. Sunday didn’t win best musical, and it didn’t recoup. Into the woods didn’t win best musical, and it didn’t recoup. West side story didn’t win best musical, and it didn’t recoup. Yes, they have all enjoyed a wonderful life outside of Broadway, but that’s because we have all been able to appreciate the genius in them after they closed, but what about those that didn’t have the same luck? The point is: if you want your show to run and make a profit, you have to win tonys.
So of course I care, because it’s not only about the recognition and the celebration of theater, it’s about people keeping their jobs and a story being told, and that if said story stops being told, a piece of theater dies with it.
